Chapter 123 - Blame

As if knowing where Rafa is, Kite becomes a guide for all who come with him. Kite goes along with Leon, Ray, Ken, Melvin, Nevan and Radolf.

The seven of them had already told the people who were still in the same place that they were going to go pick up Rafa. This certainly has had mixed reactions.

They had already sensed for themselves how strong the person they had previously fought was. But now, Kite, Leon, along with the others want to go see that person?

But in the end the seven of them still go even though Felix or Nix forbid them. Now, Felix and everyone there were required to stay put for a while until these seven people returned.

Kay had only been quiet since then without commenting on the incident. He is worried about Leon and Ray and Ken, but he knows the three are not weak demons to worry about. Moreover, they were together just like this, not alone like Ken was brought in back then.

It's just, something's stuck in his mind. Felix's behavior seems a little strange. It was like something his friend was hiding. Then after the seven left, Kay started to make a sound with her eyes fixed on Felix.

"Since you came back with Leon and his entourage, you've been tense. Though even against the countless undead, you didn't arrive like this. Is there something on your mind?"

Felix wasn't looking at Kay at all. He just kept staring in the other direction where the humans were resting with a restless look. One of them was so frightened that his body trembled, "Nothing."

"Don't lie. I know your habits. There aren't many things that can make you tense up like this" Kay said.

"I'm right okay. No need to care about it," Felix still averted his eyes from Kay, as if unwillingly looking at her.

"When you lie to me or to another friend, you don't usually look us in the eye. Your lies are clearly visible in my eyes."

Felix finally looked at Kay after hearing that remark. He said sternly, "Do I still look like I'm lying?"

Kay was silent for a moment with a flat look, "Yes, that's obvious."

Felix speechless. She looked at him so Kay could believe he was hiding nothing. But what he did made his lie clear.

"I don't want to ask you this, because I thought you might say it. But since you didn't say anything, so I asked."

"I... Ms..." Felix hesitated in saying it. He who usually looks wise and like a confident leader now even looks clumsy.

Kay frowned, "If you don't want to say it, I won't force it."

Felix looked at Kay doubtfully. Although her friend had said that, her eyes seemed to say something else and urged her to say the answer Kay wanted. If she doesn't answer, Kay may not want to talk to her at all or do something that makes her open her voice.

Because he knows, Kay is a person who is easily curious about the affairs of others and sometimes always wants to interfere even though not everyone likes his affairs meddled with others. Like Felix, he does not want his affairs to be meddled with by others, even by his friends. But the thing is, this matter might also have something to do with the happenings in the demon world. He can't keep quiet.

Kay was a little surprised, yet it only happened for a moment in her eyes. He turned his attention to the side, where Felix had previously stared. At a distance of several meters from him, he saw the person who had previously fainted was now awake.

The man he thought was the second strongest man after Melvin in the old hut. Her top clothes were removed and revealed a bandage wrapped around half of her body. Because the human was injured in the abdomen during the attack, then fainted shortly after.

"What's he doing?!" inner Felix while staring at the direction of the dagger throw. He could see the angry look of the man who threw him. Though previously he had just regained consciousness after getting an attack from the undead who had the ability. Then before the attack, he had just come to his senses and had to directly fight for his life.

Felix was a little amazed by him. Even though he was injured, the man still fought with wounds all over his body. It was Lym.

"Because of you, my friend died! You have to take responsibility!" lym shouted furiously.

The man with one leg who was aware almost simultaneously with Lym also called out, "Yes! You killed our friend! If you hadn't let your guard down, it's possible that our friend's friend wouldn't have died!"

Kay stared flatly at the two men. He never promised them any security. And now they're suing him? On what basis? He and his friends are working with Melvin, not this guy.

"I don't know myself" Felix said in a gripping tone. Just contact her words make Lym with a one-footed man named Farel was shriveled.

Previously Felix had never shown this very unfriendly side or seemed threatening. But now it seems like the right time for him to show his fangs so that the humans are not careless.

"Your friend's death, not because of us. But because you can't take care of each other. You are weak and cannot protect yourself" Felix said with an intimidating look.

Clearly the gaze accompanied by a gripping aura that emanated from his body made anyone unable to wince or reply. Even Nix who was also listening from earlier did not seem to want to interfere even though Lym and Farel were blizt who joined together into the demon world.

"What he said is true. Don't blame the death of your people, of others. If he dies, then because he's weak and that's his destiny" Need said.

Lym and Farel stared silently at Need's words. Compared to these demonic demons, they were indeed nothing. Right now, they could have been killed and died on the spot.

But the demon that should have been their target in the mission, now instead let them live until now and even had time to protect them twice. First when they meet, then second is when the incident of an undead attack that has the ability or corpse of Ralt.
