Chapter 57 - Gathering In The Hall

The sound of a motorbike began to be heard entering the yard. The son and father who were inside the house immediately came out. They welcomed the arrival of a young man they had been waiting for.

"You're home too late" Melvin said with a frown.

Rafa seemed not to hear his words and immediately went down after pulling the key of the motor.

"Rafa..?" Nevan was stunned when she saw the situation. Both of his hands were covered in red liquid. His face was pale and there was a cut on his cheek, "Is today's training too difficult?"

Rafa did not say anything, but he immediately took out a light blue crystal in his pocket. He thrust it on Nevan and Melvin.

"I-this..," Melvin's eyes grew with a surprised look. He took the crystal from Rafa's hand and noticed, "I can feel the energy inside. Isn't this the crystal of the devil? Why can you have this, Rafa?" he paused for a moment as he watched the young man's state better, "You met the devil and managed to kill him?"

The trap was so precise that Rafa himself did not need to say anything or explain anything.

Nevan was stunned when she heard her father say, "How do you kill a demon? Ordinary weapons won't be too useful."

Rafa took out a dagger from his pocket and thrust it at Nevan. The blood-filled weapon managed to shock his brother.

A young man was standing in a dark room. He was hiding so the guards wouldn't find him. He breathed slowly.

*POV Leon

He's attracting too much attention. He shouldn't have killed the guards. Because of his actions, the guard is getting tightened. I find it hard to move freely. He pisses me off.

I have to find Radolf without Stev knowing. But things become like this.

"Leon, if you hear his voice, come to the hall in the middle room of this palace. I've brought someone you're looking for. In addition, I also brought the person who had messed up in my palace. Come here if you want them to survive."

I gasped when I heard a voice that rang out to almost the entire palace. The voice echoed so loud. The owner is Stev. I know very well and remember his voice since the assault he made on me.

But hearing her words, it made me immediately think that it was a trap. But why would he know if I was here? Did Need get caught by him, and then he was forced to tell her all by using the power of the demon controller?

But I can't be fooled by the word he said. He probably just wanted to bluff me out.

First of all, I have to observe the hall from a distance. As I was thinking of leaving this place, I heard a voice from outside. I close my ears and listen carefully to their conversation.

When I heard all that, I immediately came out of this room. Without waiting for the reaction from those near the door, I directly slammed a punch at the three of them until their bodies were thrown against the wall and fainted.

That information is enough for me. I pulled the three of them into the room so that no other guards could see them. I also changed my clothes with the clothes they were wearing and changed my face into one of them.

For now I have to disguise myself as a guard and observe Stev from afar. Lucky they came at the right time. Because of them, I can do my plan.

I went out and walked quickly towards the hall in question. Since I didn't know the layout of this place, I had to follow some other guards who also went there.

They continued chatting leisurely as they headed towards the hall. They even provided many loopholes to attack, very careless. Though some of the other guards were tense with this state of affairs, but they were very relaxed.

Yeah, but that's a good thing for me. In this way, they didn't even know if an intruder was among them.

I was shocked to see Radolf. He lay there with a body full of wounds. Both of his hands were handcuffed with iron. Unknowingly, I clenched my arm. How did it get to that? What exactly has happened while I was in the human world?

"Maybe some of you have heard... If he was," Stev pointed at Need who could only lower his head. "The commander who has been leading you all along is now suspected of being a traitor."

The guards started whispering quietly. Hearing Stev's statement certainly made some of them surprised to find out.

"He's been leaking some information from our kingdom for the past few years. Not only our kingdom alone, he even leaked information of the other three great empires, even helping the kingdom from our present enemy, the kingdom from King Leon!" stev said emphatically and emphasized his last sentence.

The whispers from the guards were getting more and more clearly heard. They did not expect Need to help and provide information to the kingdom that had not even been led by me for so long. Besides, why would he help me? Though I am not a noble demon or a descendant of the Demon King. I am the devil who seized the throne and the position that other Kings have. I am just an ordinary demon who became a King for taking out the King and all the descendants of the King before me. They must think so. There is no point in helping me, let alone I have no experience in leading.

Actually I think so too. Maybe he can get the power behind him for already siding with me, the Demon King that many other demons fear. But that's all. And maybe because I idolize. But is that just why he's siding with me? Even he proposed to be my eyes a few days after I became King. I trust him almost completely. But I wasn't that stupid until I really believed him.

Leon who is too wary of Need does not know if his goal is to be his eyes is just because of that, just because he idolizes him and wants to be close to him. That was Need's initial goal until he learned of an information that could destroy the demon world. One piece of information that made his goal into Leon's eyes grew.
