Tidying Up Asa, Inviting Hidayah

Tidying Up Asa, Inviting Hidayah
106. Romance at the End of the Dusk

🌵 No need to see the sun, to enjoy the beauty of its rays.🌵

The wind was blowing slowly, shaking the branches of the trees. The yellowish rays of the sun pierced through the white clouds that were flying in a row under the bright blue sky. How beautiful the sky that afternoon, combined with shahdu as a natural painting that became the background of the atmosphere of a restaurant. The river water that fell from the dam flowed profusely under the large bridge which was the connecting access of the two districts.

Hara sat down on a chair, staring at the contrasting scene ahead. Then the vehicles that pass on the bridge and the right river flow under it as if it became a symphony. Melantun melodious like a hum in the heart.

Behind his back, three brothers were engrossed in selfies while joking. Their crisp laughter blared, defeating the rumbling sound of the river water. Inevitably, it managed to make Hara pull both corners of her lips upwards. Without even looking, he could already guess who the owner of the voice was.

Not far from where they were, one large family sat gathered around the table, chatting lightly in between waiting for food orders. Reyfan who does not like pleasantries to get swept up in the chat is not important, but shows family familiarity.

“Home renovation is almost done, Rey. Insyaalloh before the seven-month event, it is ready to be occupied.” Faiz said.

“So seven months here, Rey?” Riani asked her daughter-in-law.

Reyfan nodded, “Aneesha wants that, but I can't be sure yet. Jobs are plentiful, there is no way I left the company for too long.”

“Think about first well, mumpung still much time.” Fares said.

“Iya, Dad. After all, now Aneesha's pregnancy has not even been six months, how will the situation and condition in the future only.” replied Reyfan.

“If the home renovation is complete, Hara will return to Jakarta, Rey?” ask Faiz seriously.

“Not yet, Mas. I, heck, wanted that. Repot once as long as he's here, I have to take care of everything myself without him. But he seems not interested in returning to Jakarta. Because every time I talk about it, he avoids. Today I just realized, he is more human now, smile more.” Reyfan threw a glance at the man who was playing the phone with his back.

“Maybe Hara has found peace here,” Faiz said.

“Can be, Mas. In Jakarta Hara has no family, here she is like finding something she never had.” Reyfan replied.

Faiz nodded, “He often brought his nephew home, playing with Arkaan. Looks like they are very familiar, even though Hara is stiff, but equally her nephew can look lithe.”

“Unfortunately Hara has family here?” Riani curious.

Reyfan nodded, “When I was looking for Aneesha, Hara accidentally met her stepbrother. So now Hara lives with her stepbrother and family in Jogja.”

Everyone was reflexively looking at Hara who was now moving closer to Jenar, Aneesha and Lingga. The man helped the Lingga who was having difficulty reaching for the branch of the cherry tree. They both plucked the cherry fruit, while Jenar and Aneesha pointed to each other which fruit should be picked.

“You see! Like not Hara who I know him now, willingly do silly things like that.” Reyfan grumbled.

“You will be more surprised, if you know he wants to wallow in the mud when draining the pond, to catch fish for Arkaan and Naufal.” Faiz said.

Reyfan's forehead was crinkled in, a lot of things were missed from his knowledge. Hara has indeed changed a lot during her departure from Jakarta.

Everyone's attention was distracted by the arrival of a restaurant employee delivering orders. Various types of drinks are provided as pre-ordered.

Meanwhile, four people were busy picking cherries while joking. Not caring about the few pairs of eyes that were staring at them with an unusual look.

“No want that red one, Dek!” yelled Aneesha while pointing her index finger towards the head of the Linga.

“Enak is not too red, brother. Green there is a reddish tinge to it, fresher.” Jenar said.

“Masa, anyway? The sweeter red one, Dek!” aneesha.

“If it is less sweet, later sister eat it while looking Genar only.” Aneesha laughed at her sister's jokes.

“Pak Hara, pick up that one!” call upon Jenar later.

Aneesha immediately stopped laughing, she looked at Jenar and Hara alternately. He smiled, realizing the familiarity of the two humans before him. Just as Noura told us, there is something going on between Hara and Jenar, though it is not yet clear.

“Already many, Kak.” said Lingga, awakening his brother from daydreams.

“Thank you my sister dear!” sahut Aneesha opened her hands to receive the results of the Linga cherry quotation.

“Your body is dirty, Dek!” Aneesha pointed at the shirt that Lingga was wearing, then picked up the dried leaves that fell on the head of her sister's plontos.

“Proof the sacrifice of a sister for her brother who is this nyidam,” said Lingga prides himself while cleaning the shirt from dirt, making Aneesha laugh.

“Kakak no nyidam, just want it.” Aneesha is unwilling to take advantage of her pregnancy as an excuse.

“Padahat at home there is also a cherry tree, right?” The phallus still cleans the dry leaves of the shirt and its head

“See many mature here so want, Dek.” Aneesha replied.

“Washed first, Brother. Item time there are the germs, later even brother so diarrhea.” proposed Lingga. He then helped his brother bring cherry fruit.

“Dek! Sister ifas.” shouted Aneesha to Jenar while showing her hands full of cherry fruit.

“Ih, cheating! New string can be little.” Jenar stomps the feet with pursed lips.

“Begging Hara to pick a lot.” Aneesha said while taking Lingga away.

Lingga walked docked to her brother, then whispered, “Pak Hara and Kak Jenar dating?”

Aneesha shook her head, “No! You seem not to know your sister, where she wants to relate that is not clear.”

“Who knows now Jenar's sister changed her mind. They are very familiar, exactly like people dating.” said Lingga.

“Sok knows you, Dek!” Aneesha elbowed her sister's arm.

The phallus looks back at a glance, then shrugs. Choosing to stop the chatter and help her brother wash the cherries in westafle.

Meanwhile, Hara smiled faintly at the cute look on Jenar's face as she pouted. Without being asked, he would be willing to pluck a lot of cherry fruit for the girl.

“It looks like it's up, it's still all green.” Hara looked up, researching the cherry tree, awakening Jenar from seeing the departure of her brother and sister.

“That's over there, Sir!” Jenar pointed at the end of the cherry tree, near the river cliff fence.

Without answering, Hara moved. Trees that are not too high, it is possible to pluck fruit just by grabbing the twigs, no need to climb. In an instant, many fruits had already been successfully picked.

“It's been a lot of this, Mr.” Jenar collects the fruit on an empty table closest to the tree.

“Still on top, if you want again.” Hara gave some cherries to Jenar.

“That's enough, sir. Who knows other visitors also want to quote, this is a lot, kok.” replied Jenar.

“Pak Hara's hair is dirty,” Jenar hesitated to point to Hara's hair that was dirty due to the leaves and cherry flowers that fell when picking the fruit earlier.

Hara ruffled her own hair which was rather long because it was rarely shaved lately. The man's hand movements cleaned his hair, rubbed his shirt, then removed and cleaned his glasses, leaving Jenar glued. Just for a moment, he immediately came to his senses and said Istighfar. The girl became misbehaved because she had unintentionally admired a man who was not her right.

“I help bring,” said Hara saw Jenar in a hurry to pick up fruit on the table.

“You washed first, right?” ask Hara.

Jenar nodded in submission. His hasty movement because he wanted to avoid, actually caused the fruit that was already in the hand to escape again. Some even fell off the table. Hara helps pick up fallen fruit.

“It looks like it can not be taken by hand, I borrowed the container first, yes.” said Hara while then brought some fruit to the receptionist.

Realizing Hara's departure, Jenar raised her head. A gust of breath rang out from his nose, trying to neutralize a heart beat that was too fast. Lately, it seems that he often loses the rhythm of heart beat when adjacent to Hara.

The yellowish rays of the sun penetrate the lush leaves of the cherry that shade the area out door of the restaurant. Forming circles like eggs that hit an empty table. The sky is clear, causing the sun is still quite hot when the day before dusk.

Hara came with a bowl. He slowed his steps, when he saw Jenar playing in the sun. A small smile fell on his lips. Even just looking at the trivial things that Jenar did, could make his heart warm. Not wanting to disturb the girl who is engrossed in his own world, he chose to collect cherries on the table, then wash them.

The yellowish rays dim, as the sun slowly moves closer to the horizon line. Hara had finished washing the cherry fruit, Jenar was no longer playing the circle of light. The girl stood still, looking up with her hands folded on her chest. Enjoy the beautiful twilight.

“It looks like you really enjoyed this afternoon?” ask Hara.

Genar turned his head, smiled briefly, then looked back at the clouds that reflected the violet rays.

“It's rare to see a scene like this, sir. Especially playing catch the sun. If you are lucky I can enjoy while waiting for the bus at the stop, or from behind the glass bus on the way home. While berTO’a in the heart may not be overnight until home.” replied Jenar.

Hara followed the direction of Jenar's view, for the first time they looked in the same direction as standing in parallel. For a moment they just remain silent, enjoying the beautiful afternoon sky dashed by the twilight with the contents of their minds.

“Dikasih gift what is the same Lion?” Hara opened her voice first, like one who could not help but feel jealous.

Jenar shook her head, “Not yet to be opened.”

“Ngot curious to know what it contains? Maybe he loves the goods that you really want.” said Hara flat.

“Pak Hara wants to know? I take it in the car, continue to open in front of the father if that is so.” replied Jenar accompanied by a jaily smile.

Hara frowned, “Why reverse the question to me? I do not care at all about the contents of the gift from Lion.”

“Really? Then why did you ask?” Jenar tilted her head, about to see Hara's facial water change.

“Just ask, really can't?” Hara threw away her face, avoiding Jenar's gaze.

Jenar looked back at the sky with a knotty smile, “If Mr. Hara asked like earlier, I could think you were jealous, loh.”

Hara turned her head, “I? Jealousy?”

Yarn shrug, “Maybe. Only Mr. Hara himself knows.”

Hara looked down for a moment, hiding a smile. He looked back in the same direction as Jenar.

“If it is true that I am jealous, will you consider my feelings?” I don't know what kind of power could make Hara manage to compose that sentimental sentence.

“Depends,” replied Jenar lightly.

“Depends on what?” Hara was expecting another answer from Jenar.

“According to the book I have read, jealousy is a feeling of worry that we will be seized by others. If I don't feel owned and possessed, I don't need to consider your jealous feelings, right? So depending on whether we feel like we have each other or not, we can only feel jealous. Also I will probably consider that feeling of jealousy.” explains Jenar at length.

“So there is no reason for me to be jealous and you do not need to consider if maybe I am jealous of you, so?” Hara draws her conclusions from Jenar's explanation.

Jenar nodded, then they kept quiet again for a while. The cry of Fares called out to Jenar, making them realize from the pleasure of twilight pus syahdu. Both of them cut off the view, then moved on.

“Before azan!” Fares shouted back.

Hara gave a bowl of clean cherry fruit to Jenar.

“Thank you,” Jenar said while lifting the bowl.

“Sama-sama.” replied Hara.

Jenar turned to the sky for a while, before stepping, “Cantik, but unfortunately only briefly.”

Hara frowned hearing Jenar's words. After following the direction of the girl's gaze, he only understood what was being talked about.

“Iya, it is beautiful.” Hara said. Not an expression to praise the twilight shade, because he said it while staring at the face of Jenar who was hit by the dim rays of the afternoon sun.

“It turns out twilight remains beautiful even though it can not see directly the sun sinks, yes, sir?” Jenar walked while looking around. The yellowish rays are getting dimmer, but the beauty of twilight has not completely disappeared.

“You're right. To enjoy the beauty of twilight, do not have to look directly at the process of sinking sun." Hara confirmed the words of Jenar, because since then they did not see the location of the sun directly, but could enjoy the natural beauty of the afternoon.

"Pak Hara has no intention of giving me a gift?" asked Jenar in a joking tone.

"There are many who give gifts to you" replied Hara without burden.

Jenar shrugged, knowing that her base questions were unlikely to get a pleasant answer from Hara. The man may be willing to give something unfavorable.

"You want to spend the twilight watching the sunset?"

Jenar stopped, looking quickly at Hara. He did not expect the question to come out of the cold man's mouth.

"What is a date?" ask Jenar.

"You will immediately refuse if it is like that" replied Hara honestly.

"So?" Jenar wanted to ascertain the intent of Hara's invitation.

"There's always a reason to go alone, other than dating, right?" Hara answered by asking a question.

"I will consider the father's invitation, if it's with the consent of father and mother." Jenar glanced at the direction where her family had gathered, "Mumpung they are here."

Hara chuckled, "No, so next time I'll invite you if there's no family."

"Bas a coward!" sulk Jenar while then stepped away leaving Hara who was fixated with her words.

Hara let Jenar walk over to her family first, staring at the girl's back away. A faint smile flashed across his lips, when he realized something.

‘True, that does not have to see the sun directly to enjoy the beauty of its reflection of light.’ Inner Hara in heart, ‘Is it the same as not having to be around, to love someone?’

There was the sound of azan magrib. Hara could see clearly, Jenar sitting between Fares and Aneesha. The girl took a sip of a drink, then picked up a cherry, fed it to Fares. The most romantic scene he's ever seen in his entire life. A friendly relationship between father and daughter that is not made up. Unimpaired to make his mind wander.

He shook his head, dispelling the strange thoughts that suddenly flashed in his head. Then continued on, unconsciously there was a pair of eyes watching from earlier.

“We must talk, four eyes!” Reyfan whispered in a repressive tone as soon as Hara sat down beside him.

There are suspicions to be uncovered and prejudices to be resolved between the familiar and romantic atmosphere at the end of the twilight.
