“What does all this mean, Ed?” Asked Arumi with a fret that still enveloped his face. “I don't feel I have any enemies,” he continued. Suddenly his appetite disappeared for a moment. Arumi put the spoon and fork that he had been holding just like that on the plate. He also stared at the food he had not been able to spend.
Edgar sipped his drink. He rested his body on the back of the chair, while his right hand played a spoon in the plate. “Eat first, Arum! If our stomachs are full, we can think much better. Too bad if wasted, because I have ordered a lot for us,” said Edgar flat. He also felt a little confused. However, Edgar did not want to show it in front of Arumi.
“How can I eat quietly, Ed! I was photographed secretly by a stranger who knew who and where. Maybe that person is watching us right now from somewhere,” chirped Arumi, but had made Edgar frown.
“Do not overdo it, Arum!”
“If you can just tell people to watch me, then it is not impossible if others do the same,” said Arumi with her pair of eyes that move irregularly.
Edgar laughed softly while shaking his head.”Your excessive fear has made you goofy, dear.”
“So silly with you, Honey!” Arumi was upset.
Edgar had no intention of continuing to debate that further. He is not looking for a new problem with Arumi. He had better give in and persuade the girl to be willing to go with him back to Paris.
“I contacted Keanu yesterday,” Edgar said. He resumed his eating.
“I haven't had time to contact him,” reply Arumi.
“He wants you to come with me to Paris, because there you will be much safer. In my direct supervision of course,” Edgar's tease while supporting his chin with the right hand that he placed on the table. He then smiled and tried to melt the tense atmosphere felt by Arumi again.
Arumi just glared at him. After that he replied to Edgar by sticking out his tongue, exactly as he always did if he felt he did not clop with Edgar's words.
What Arumi did made Edgar smile. The man felt that he had returned a few years ago when he first started a relationship with Arumi.
Edgar then stood up and shifted his chair near Arumi. He sat down and faced the girl directly. He took a tablespoon of food on Arumi's plate and he pointed it right in front of the lover's mouth. “Please your food first! After that we will continue to talk,” he said gently.
“No! I'm full!” Reject Arumi with the pot.
“Come, Arum! It's very tasty. Don't you miss this meal?” Edgar continued to insist on feeding the girl. While Arumi continued to refuse, Edgar had to force him. Arumi covered her mouth that was filled with food. He repeatedly hit the arm of Edgar who was just chuckling at that time, when he saw the lover who looked very funny. One thing is for sure, that afternoon they passed by with jokes.
By late afternoon, Edgar invites Arumi to take a walk near the harbor. Nothing is too meaningful that they do.
The two of them just stood up and looked at the neatly lined ships.
The wind was blowing pretty hard. Edgar then grabs Arumi's body and puts the girl in front of him. Hugged Arumi from behind quite tightly. The girl responded to what Edgar was doing with a spoiled laugh. They seem to not care about their surroundings.
Edgar did not hesitate to show his affection in public. Apparently Arumi had no problem with that either. At the moment they are not in Indonesia. However, what they did still did not escape the supervision of a pair of eyes, which had been watching them from a distance.
“I can't stay here long, Arum,” regrets Edgar when he drove Arumi home.
“When will you return to Paris?”
“Tomorrow,” replied Edgar making Arumi complain slowly.
Arumi did not answer immediately. To be honest he still wants to be in Marseille, in the hometown of his beloved father. However, he also enjoyed his friendship with Edgar. In addition, Arumi was scared when she remembered that someone was watching her.
“Can I ask you something, Ed?”
“Ask only!”
Arumi stared fixedly at the face of the man who was now filling her heart. He seemed to be looking for honesty from the gray eyes of the man.
“Is this not all your wits? Um... I mean ... those photos .. could have been your man who deliberately took them over....”
“My government?” Cut Edgar. Immediately he was able to capture the direction of Arumi's speaker.
Arumi felt bad. He turned his gaze away from that handsome face. Suddenly he felt uncomfortable due to the gaze of Edgar who seemed disappointed because of his accusations. “I'm sorry, Ed. That's all I have in mind right now,” regrets Arumi slowly.
Edgar did not answer. He was still staring fixedly at Arumi with a hue full of astonishment. “You suspect me, Arum?” There was a disappointed and regretful tone in Edgar's tone at the time. He did not expect that Arumi could think like that.
Arumi looks increasingly uncomfortable. He doesn't know what to say. Everything in his mind was ridiculous. He sighed why he should reveal it to Edgar.
“Listen, Arum! I did do what you thought was ridiculous by sending Henry to watch over you! However, I don't think more than what I did! I have also stated the reason very clearly to you!” Edgar firmly with eyes that are much sharper than usual.
“Yes, but I also can't think of who can do that to me! Me ...”
“Who pelt the pavilion glass you occupied that night?” Edgar seemed to be leading Arumi to a new opinion. He just wanted to make sure what he thought was the same as what Arumi thought.
“Think, Arum! Who has sent the flowers you consider me? Do you have a new fan? Ah ... for sure it is not Moedya,” Edgar again makes Arumi to think and start guessing.
Arumi looked at the man who was also staring at her. In his mind suddenly came a name. “Ben?” Arumi said as she scrunched her forehead.
“Why is that guy always around you, Arum?”
Arumi was silent and seemed to think. Arumi only realized that lately he had met more often with a firm-faced man, the owner of the seafood restaurant. However, is it ethical if Arumi suspects Ben just like that?
Ben is a man who seems to be very kind, although his facial expression more often looks flat and not as sociable as Edgar. But Ben was still being reasonable and polite to Arumi. Therefore, Arumi was not convinced by Edgar's accusations. However, is it fair that Arumi accuses Edgar of deliberately creating a vortex of unrest on her?
However, Arumi knew Edgar better. He knew the character of the man well. Edgar is a persistent man and is able to do anything to fight for everything he wants, but is it possible that Edgar can do as low as that? Arumi felt increasingly uncertain.
“I'm confused, Ed. I don't know how to think, but I feel if Ben can't possibly do something like that,” Arumi argued softly. He looks doubtful.
“Oh ... yes, just keep defending it!” Edgar's protest began to be irritated by the attitude of Arumi, who seemed to defend Ben. Edgar turned his gaze to something else that was on that road. It was as if he was avoiding Arumi's eyes. The man seemed to be in a state of severe jealousy.
