Two months have passed. Edgar was in Indonesia. She also took Carmen with her.
This is the first time the middle-aged woman has visited Indonesia. He was so impressed with the hospitality of the natives.
Arumi showed the invitation card that had been completed in print and ready to be spread. The plan, today he and Edgar will do the fitting of the wedding dress. Arumi also said, if he would give an invitation card to Ranum. Edgar felt there was no problem with it. He also accompanied Arumi there with pleasure.
Edgar's black sedan car has entered Ranum's yard. Before getting out of the car, Arumi was silent for a moment. It seemed to calm itself first.
Since the embarrassing incident at the engagement party of Moedya and Diana at that time, Arumi has not had time to see Ranum. His intention to apologize for the mess he had done, was always delayed. Moreover, he also began to be preoccupied with his affair with Edgar.
“You're not going down, Babe?” asked Edgar who was astonished to see Arumi's attitude.
Arumi looked over and looked a little tense. “I am ashamed to meet Ranum's mother, Ed,” replied Arumi slowly. There was a speck of regret within the look of his eyes.
Edgar touched Arumi's pretty face and gently stroked it, before finally calming the girl down with a warm kiss. “Therefore I accompany you here,” said the gray-eyed man. “Of course other than because I don't want you to meet Moedya,” he continued while going out and opening the door for Arumi.
Arumi smiled a little. Apparently Edgar was still frightened by Moedya. He does not know if Arumi is no longer interested, with a man who is not opinionated like his former fiance.
Hand in hand, Edgar and Arumi stepped towards the entrance of the three-story house. A servant opened the door for them. He knows Arumi well. He immediately allowed them to enter.
“Mistress yesterday just checked from the doctor. He is sick again,” said the rather fat woman.
“What pain?” Arumi looked very anxious.
“Custom, Non. Like yesterday-yesterday,” replied the woman again. “Before I tell the madam first if there is Non Arum here,” he said as he passed towards Ranum's room. While Arumi and Edgar waited in the living room.
After a while, Ranum appeared in the room. His face looked a little pale. He also looks weak. An stunned Ranum looked at Arumi with Edgar there. While Arumi could not hold back her tears.
Soon he approached the woman he had considered to be his real mother. Arumi hugged the woman tightly.
Ranum returned Arumi's embrace warmly. Her tears started to flow. They can't hide that haru anymore. However, the feeling that Ranum had given Arumi was very big and sincere. Despite Arumi's failure to become her son-in-law, it was no longer a matter of meaning to her.
“Where to, Arum? Why did you disappear and no longer care about your mother?”
Arumi let go of her embrace slowly. However, both of his hands were still on Ranum's arms. “I'm sorry, Mother. I'm too embarrassed to meet you,” sobs Arumi slowly.
Ranum frowned. He then touched the beautiful face of Arumi that he had not seen for a long time. “Why are you talking like that, son? Why should you feel ashamed to see your own mother?”
“Don't talk like that, Arum! I am your mother, and you are my daughter!” firmly Ranum. A moment later, his gaze turned to Edgar. The man nodded politely to Ranum.
“Do you not want to introduce it to Mom?” Ranum glanced at Arumi who was wiping her tears. Arumi blushed in embarrassment. He then stood near Edgar and held his arm in a friendly manner.
“Mother, this is Edgar Hillaire. He was my future husband. We're here to give you an invitation card and of course to ask for my blessing. However, we really hope for the best prayer from a wonderful mother like you,” Arumi explained with a feeling of being mixed with happiness.
Arumi turned to Edgar, who was looking at him as well. Edgar smiled gently and nodded slowly.
Ranum was wide-eyed hearing that. Although he really hopes that Arumi can be his daughter-in-law, but because reality says otherwise, Ranum must be able to accept it. Again, he hugged Arumi with a full day.
“Congratulations, Arum! Mom was so happy to hear this. Honestly if I feel grateful because finally you can find someone who really suits you,” said Ranum sincerely. He turned his eyes to Edgar. “Can he speak Indonesian, Arum?” ranum whispers made Arumi laugh amusedly. And so did Edgar.
“Can, Mistress,” replied Edgar making Ranum stunned.
Arumi laughed softly. “Ed speaks three languages, Mom. I think maybe soon he will learn another language,” said Arumi, glancing at Edgar with a mesraanya look. While Edgar, again he only smiled calmly when responding to Arumi's speech.
“Arumi is too much, Madam,” Edgar said while turning his eyes to Ranum. The friendly smile that has always been his trademark, clearly seen he presented to Ranum. Although Edgar never liked Moedya, but he was very appreciative of a mother.
Ranum smiled. He can feel if the man Arumi chose is a good man. The smile eventually became a deep novelty. Ranum then wiped the corner of his eye. “Please take care of Arumi! The late mistress Ryanthi entrusted Arumi to Mother, but Mother was not able to take good care of her,” said Ranum with full haru.
Hearing Ranum's words with a very touching tone of speech, Arumi again poured into the woman's arms. While Edgar was only speechless to notice the unusual scene that was before him.
Edgar learns how close Arumi is to Moedya's mother. He now understands why it is so difficult for Arumi to be able to get away from Moedya.
Edgar's gaze suddenly fell on someone who had just appeared in the house. A man who stood and looked at them from a distance with a fairly flat face.
Edgar then touched Arumi's shoulder. The girl then took off her embrace from Ranum, and wiped her tears back.
"Give me the invitation card, Babe!" tell Edgar with a satisfied smile on his face. He seems to be doing it on purpose in front of Moedya, to make Moedya jealous of him.
