The Mist In Arumi's Heart

Moedya who had just returned home, chose to come out immediately. He went back to his bike and left. His heart feels fucked. He did not expect that Arumi would marry earlier than he did.

Previously, Moedya thought that Edgar would not be able to take Arumi seriously. He never imagined, if Arumi would be so soon decided to marry Edgar. Messy, everything feels so surprising. Moedya was unable to think clearly. At that time, he was just riding his bike without a definite direction and purpose.

Moments later, Moedya stopped the bike for a moment. He then reached into his cell phone from inside his jacket. Moedya seemed to be contacting someone. A moment later, Moedya returned to run his motorcycle until he finally arrived at a coffee shop. After parking the retronya motorbike, he immediately entered. Moedya chose the table that was at the corner. Incidentally that afternoon the atmosphere there was not too crowded.

“Arumi Wedding?” sidelines Moedya with her tone that sounds quite flat.

Keanu looked at his best friend for a moment. A moment later, the man who was still loyal to his shifty haircut nodded his head slowly. “Today he sent an invitation card to aunt Ranum,” Keanu said.

“Yes, I saw it. Arumi came with her future husband. The man smiled with satisfaction at me. He may feel victorious because he has managed to have Arumi,” said Moedya arbitrarily. The chaotic feeling in his heart, had made him unable to think normally, until he finally spoke as if without thinking first.

“What, you mean talk like that?”

“Yes, we both know who Edgar Hillaire is,” Moedya said. His tone made Keanu think something. The man scrunched his forehead and tried to digest the meaning of Moedya's cynical remark about Edgar.

“I know Edgar, and I know you well. I don't think you need to talk much about who Edgar is, because I know how much he struggles to have Arumi. Edgar is a true warrior, not a coward who is only good at hiding,” Keanu replied.

Moedya did not seem to like Keanu's words as if she had insinuated herself. He showed a hostile expression. Many times he threw away his face and preferred to look the other way.

“So, Arumi is sure to marry Edgar?” ask Moedya again. He wanted to convince himself more.

Keanu smiled faintly. He did not understand the thoughts of his friend. For a long time he was good friends with the man who had shaved his hair, but he was still always made head bobbles by the man's attitude and way of thinking. Therefore, he had once forbidden Arumi to continue his relationship with Moedya. However, at that time Arumi was being drunk by the eccentric man.

“Listen to me, Moedya! I love my sister very much. She's the only one I've had after my parents were gone. I will definitely fight with all my might to always look after and make her feel safe, and the most important thing is to give a real happiness to Arumi. I will not compromise with anything or anyone that has disturbed my brother's happiness,” Keanu let out a short breath and slowly plunked down.

“Arumi has been waiting for you too often. He is waiting for you to pick him up and bring him home, bringing him to the real life. But, what is the reality? I know very clearly. You close your eyes and are busy hiding behind Diana's sweet smile. You let Edgar in and bring Arumi back to the real character. Then, is it wrong if my sister chooses it?” Keanu stared at his best friend. The man who was just silent at that time and seemed to be thinking about all the stupidities and mistakes he had done.

“Although you continue to denounce Edgar and hate him half-dead, but I'm sure it won't have any effect at all on Arumi's assessment of Edgar. Only Arumi knows how much Edgar sacrificed for him, and it becomes a plus for my brother that he gave to Edgar,” Keanu explained again.

“I think it's something I don't need to explain anymore. You shouldn't have to argue about something like this. If indeed you still have feelings for my sister, then you should have shown that a while ago, but I am glad that fate led her to Edgar. I'm sorry Moedya, but I feel that Edgar is much more capable of caring for and loving Arumi than you are. Never blame anything or anyone for the circumstances that you are currently experiencing, because it is all the result of your own actions,” Keanu spoke at length to his best friend.

It felt very relieved when he could bring out all his strangeness all this time to Moedya. Whether Moedya can accept it or not, it is certain that everything Keanu says is a reality that Moedya cannot deny.

“I'm trapped in the vortex I created, Ken. I know that I am too cowardly to make a decision that suits my heart, but .. why should I still feel disappointed about this? I am learning to control myself. I remember all my father's advice that I didn't do at all. I've hurt Arumi, and I wonder why I still have to feel uncomfortable when I see Arumi with another man. I was determined to focus on Diana, but all of my concentration was lost every time I saw Arumi,”, said Moedya with a regretful face.

Keanu smiled a little. A moment later, he took the time to open his phone and check for a message from his wife. After that, he turned his gaze back to the man in front of him.

“I think at this time you should live your destiny each. You have made up your mind for your life, and Arumi too,” Keanu smiled back calmly. “I'm sorry, but I have to go. There's still a little business to be done. I wait for your invitation card,” Keanu closed, he then moved from his seat.

After saying goodbye to Moedya, Keanu then passed from that place and let Moedya back in his turmoil.

What Moedya felt, was actually something that no longer needed to be discussed. All the jealousy and heartache he showed, was something in vain.

Just like a leaf that has fallen and been carried away by the wind, away from the tree that releases it and makes it isolated among other leaves.

Moedya may still need some time to adjust to Diana. However, he must force himself to learn better about the meaning of a relationship.

Romance stories are not just about a warm kiss or sensual activity in bed. There is something more, which must be built upon it all. Learning to commit well, that is what every person who has decided to build a bond on the basis of feelings should do.

The longer, the love that had looked pseudo will seem more real, if we really intend to dig it much deeper.
