The Mist In Arumi's Heart

The Mist In Arumi's Heart
The Last Tears

Arumi remained silent. He leaned his body against the wall by the window of his room. There was a hint of regret in him. Her heart felt pain hearing the expression of love from Moedya. After all, it used to be so hard to forget the man. Then, what's going on now? Why Moedya actually declared her love, when Arumi will undergo a holy marriage.

“Arum, are you still there?” moedya's voice was heard on the other end of the phone.

Arumi did not answer. He only nodded slowly, as a sign that he was still loyal to his cellphone at that time.

“Arum,” Moedya again mentions his name. “I accidentally cut my hair. Something I used to refuse to do. However, now I do it, just like my father did when he was going to propose to my mother. I wish a miracle had come to me, but it didn't. It seems like God has indeed not allowed me to be around you anymore, even though I intend to change. I really regret everything,” shrewd Moedya.

“Please tell me something!” said the man again.

“What do you want to hear, Moedya?” Arumi asked back. “As you said earlier, God will not allow you to be near me anymore, because from now on there is Diana who will accompany you. I've known him enough. I think he'll be a good partner for you. After all, he loves you so much. So, never ignore it!” said Arumi. He tried to hold back his tears.

“If you really want to change, then it doesn't have to be me. Start with Diana. Don't treat him like you treated me,” continued Arumi again.

Moedya was speechless listening to all of Arumi's words. That guy seems to have to learn more. Moedya got along with many women, but she never knew a woman well. Arumi becomes the first woman to learn a little about love, though she still often makes many mistakes.

Moedya is not a sweet man let alone romantic. It is the opposite of Edgar. However, Moedya is a funny man, and of course he is good at singing and often plays guitar in front of Arumi. The same thing Adrian always did for Ryanthi.

“Go home, Moemoe! I'm not your Miemie anymore. It's too late, because I've already linked my heart to Edgar. I have promised to always love him and try not to disappoint him,” Arumi said again with a soft word.

The girl then pulled out the curtains that covered the glass windows of her room. Looking down there, Moedya was sitting on the bike staring at him.

The heart of Arumi saw it. The man was still the same Moedya, who had been her lover once. The man's hair was different, but the face never changed. The look in the eye still looks like it used to, just like the first time Arumi looked at him.

Arumi was silent for a moment. The girl nodded slowly. “I love Edgar, that's why I'm willing to marry him. I think that's enough, Moedya! Never try to bring up and remind me of all my feelings for you! I took Edgar in my life. Please don't bother me anymore!” pinta Arumi was still in a soft tone.

“Arum, what should I do if it turns out that I have not been able to forget you completely? Sometimes I feel so angry at you, but I miss you a lot more. It feels .. it feels so hard to forget you,” fret Moedya with her tone that sounds pretty flat. He is now much more courageous to express his feelings. Moedya was no longer a coward who could only hide.

“I don't know, Moedya. I can't give you any advice, because I also used to find it difficult to do so. I just tried and kept getting closer to Edgar. I didn't even realize that the feeling was finally gone and replaced with a new one. Maybe you can try that. Bring yourself closer to Diana, and let your heart feel its great love. I think, it will not be something that is too difficult for you,” said Arumi as she continued to hold back her tears.

Arumi tries to stay strong, though she once lamented the destruction of her heart, having lost a Moedya from her life. But now was not the time for him to do such a thing. He did not have to feel disappointed anymore, although it turned out that the tears finally fell as well when Moedya hung up her phone and left from there.

He stared at the man's departure with nanar, with tears that fell without excuse. Let those tears be the last tears of Arumi, which she offered to Moedya. After this, the story of Miemie and Moemoe will really end. There can no longer be a stare of love between the two. They should completely forget each other and should no longer miss each other, because there are other hearts that they must guard. A heart that has given great love to both of them, in lieu of the old love.

Arumi again closed the window curtain of her room when Moedya was completely out of sight. The man disappeared in the darkness of the night, and he too had Arumi released from his innermost heart.

Tonight, it feels very different. Three days lead to the happy day of Arumi and Edgar, but the girl must feel a turmoil due to love from the past. Arumi sat at the end of her bed. The girl was pensive for a while.

Shown in Arumi's memory, when the beginning of his meeting with Moedya. When their eyes met for the first time. Arumi still remembered the moment she gave her sweet smile, when Moedya saved the mug that was about to fall due to her innocence. There was nothing that Arumi liked the most, other than when he sat in the back seat of Moedya's bike and hugged her tightly. The man often taught him how to throw pebbles to cause a beautiful ripple. Moedya also taught him how to strum guitar strings, although Arumi ultimately preferred to be a listener only.

Arumi did a lot of things with the tattooed man. He even gave up everything in the name of love to Moedya. Arumi never expected, if her love story with the man would end miserably.

From this moment on, Arumi had already completely buried the old story. All his good memories with Muedya, he had to throw away and let it pass with time. Now, he must look to the future with Edgar, a man who has fought desperately for his sake.

Arumi is just hoping, hopefully Moedya can really change. May Moedya be able to change the way she looks and thinks about love. Hopefully the man will be much more appreciative of what has been his, because what has been detached from our grasp, not necessarily can we reach back and we have.
