After returning from the workshop, Moedya immediately met Ranum in his room. The woman was apparently busy watching a video recording some time ago, which showed the togetherness between herself and her beloved husband, Pramoedya Aryatama aka Arya.
Ranum seemed to smile at everything recorded in the video. It was the most beautiful moment he would never forget. He didn't even care though Moedya had already come in and sat down next to him. Moedya finally watched with her mother.
"Your father's very handsome, isn't he?" Ranum said proudly. He did not take his gaze away from the tattooed masculine face in the video.
Moedya smiled knot. She knew that her mother loved her late father so much, she had seen the video many times.
"Did you know when you started tattooing her body?" Moedya's question made Ranum glance at her for a moment. He also smiled.
"Your father used to tell you a story, but I forgot a little bit" replied Ranum lightly.
"She said love, but how can you forget everything that's been related to you?" moedya Protest.
Ranum laughed softly. He glanced back at his only son. "Yes, I don't really understand either. There are some things I missed from your father" Ranum said.
"Did you do that to Mom too?" Ask Moedya again. He was interrogating his own mother. "Mother is a very detailed woman, how could there be anything you miss?"
"What detail is Mom? Mother remains an ordinary woman who sometimes forgets things that are considered important and prioritizes something that is not too important" Ranum said as he continued to cast his eyes on the television screen with a large size.
Moedya was silent for a moment. He must admit that Ranum and Arya are a very compatible couple. Their love story is also very unique and fun. Free yet remain in one faithful word bond.
The late Arya, indeed never told her about her past with Ranum to Moedya. He prefers to invite his only son to discuss between men. A chat about how a man should behave, especially in the face of life and of course about women.
"Women are the breath of life for us men, son," Arya said one day, as they enjoyed fishing together.
"But that doesn't mean we can't breathe without them. Maybe we'll just have a little trouble. How long can you hold your breath in the water?" Asked the man with a fairly thick beard. Although he was talking to Moedya, his eyes continued to focus on his fishing rod. He seemed always alert and prepared for every movement of his fishing rod.
"I don't like to linger holding my breath in the water, for what? I have no intention of becoming a fish" Moedya said.
Arya laughed at the answer from one of her fanatical fans besides Ranum of course. He then glanced at the young man for a moment.
"Are you sure you want to get a tattoo?" Ask Arya again. He turned his gaze back to the ripples of water around his fishing line.
"Yes. I hope Dad doesn't protest. If you can .. please reassure me too!" Moedya said, ending with a soft laugh.
"Why should Dad? Why not do it yourself?"
Arya laughed softly. He deftly pulled his fishing rod which at that time had managed to lure a fish large enough. The fish fluttered as Arya placed it on the ground.
"You think your mother is very harsh. Then ... What do you think of your father?" Arya seemed to be inviting the son to play around.
Moedya fixed the hat she was wearing at the time. For a moment he looked at the father who was releasing the fish from the hook eyes that were still stuck in the mouth of the fish. After that, Arya put it in a container.
"If you can conquer your mother's might, don't you think how hard your father is?" Arya resumed their conversation after she re-installed the bait and threw it into the water.
"Maybe it's because we're both men, so .. I think Dad will understand much more about what's on my mind" Moedya said.
"As it seems. However, there are some boys who actually feel uncomfortable and not in line with what his father thinks," argued Arya. He is still focused on his fishing gear.
"Surely it wasn't me" said Moedya who ended with an amused laugh.
"Then ... if you find it so easy to conquer your father's heart, why do you feel afraid to start conquering your mother's heart?" Challenge Arya. He glanced at Moedya for a moment.
"What would you do if one day you were faced with a woman with a character like your mother? Are you going to ask Dad for help to seduce her for you? Your father is not a priest who travels to every kingdom and finds a princess for his prince. No, Son! You can do it yourself!" Aryan Emphatic.
That's a piece of the story that's always been in Moedya's memory. He did not expect that Aryan speech at that time would become a reality.
Moedya had to face a girl like Arumi. She is not a wild girl, but Arumi is difficult for her to control. Arumi is not a bad girl, but she is a sweet rebel.
Thin smoke billowed from a cigarette that Moedya was smoking. Sometimes Moedya gulped down her can. That night, he was alone on the third floor of his house. He wants to calm his mind.
The dark night sky. The atmosphere was getting quieter, because it was almost midnight.
"Arum, what are you doing right now?" Moedya murmured in his heart.
He had a cell phone lying on the rattan table in front of him. He started to wipe the screen of his phone. Moedya opened a gallery on her phone. It's surprising, because there are only photos of cars and everything related to the motorcycle club. Moedya only kept one photo with the face of the beautiful girl. It was also a photo when, he himself did not remember at all.
The phone screen closed again, and he just put it on the table. Moedya then puffed up her cigarette smoke. Moments later, he turned off the cigarette in the ashtray and grabbed the canned drink. Moedya then moved from her seat.
Now the man with the long T Shirt prefers to stand near the guardrail. Sometimes he drank his drink. "I'm sorry, Arum," muttered Moedya in a deep-sounding heavy voice.
