The Mist In Arumi's Heart

The Mist In Arumi's Heart
The Mist in the Heart

Arumi smiled gently at the man's words. Making friends will not be difficult for him. Arumi has many friends. She used to be a very nice girl.

A slow nod was seen from him. There was no reason for Arumi to reject that. After all, he still had little hope of a love that might have long been forgotten.

Moedya finished off the rest of her coffee which was starting to cool. He also seemed ready to leave. Immediately Arumi took off the jacket that had been coiled around his body. The jacket that covered his wet shirt.

Arumi thrust the jacket at Moedya. The man was stunned for a moment and looked at her. "Just wear it!" Moedya.

"I don't know when we'll meet again, or maybe even .. maybe we ...." Arumi swallowed her own saliva. His throat suddenly felt so dry. His tongue felt muddy and he could not continue his words.

With a doubtful face, Moedya accepted the jacket. He didn't wear it and just held it. A moment later, the two of them came out together from inside the canteen.

"Thank you for the treat" Arumi said with a sweet smile accompanying her. He stood up and looked at Moedya for a moment.

The same thing was done by Moedya. He looked back at the girl quite closely. Moedya seemed to be treating her longing all this time. "Together" said the tattooed man.

An awkward feeling again enveloped the two of them. Arumi and Moedya's clumsy demeanor looks cute at the time. But that all didn't last long. Moedya soon mastered the situation. "Would I take you guys, Arum?" Bargainly.

The gate to the flower garden in Arumi's heart was wide open. There are many flowers blooming there, so beautiful and colorful. Arumi desperately wanted to nod and say "yes, of course". However, he soon realized from his desire.

"No, thank you. I still have other business" replied Arumi. He was looking for a reason to reject the man's offer.

"Alright," replied Moedya. He neither persuaded nor forced the girl to come with him. Something beyond Arumi's expectations. The girl was already feeling confident.

"Okay .. nice to meet you, Moe ... Moedya," Arumi may have to stop calling the man Moemoe.

It's all really over. There is no longer the old Moemoe and Miemie, the ones that exist now are Moedya and Arumi.

Arumi continued to step on his feet to the sidewalk that was wet because of the rain earlier. There are some puddles on some of the corners of the road. He did not know if there were a pair of eyes that kept watching his departure from afar, until the girl in the white shirt was not seen again.

Sighing deeply, Moedya immediately put her helmet back on. He then boarded his motorbike and left the parking lot of the maternity clinic.

The rain had completely stopped and wiped out the dark clouds that covered the sky that afternoon. Although the weather feels quite cold, but at least the sky was back bright.

That's how life is. There are times when we have to go through a tremendous discomfort. The sadness that is very deep and feels very painful, may even feel so heavy and scary that we do not want to repeat it again.

But as long as there is faith in us, we will always survive. Survive for tomorrow. What happened today will not happen again tomorrow.

If today it rains so hard, then maybe tomorrow the sun will shine brightly throughout the day. Who knows the fate of God? Who can predict the future? We just have enough to live this life well, although sometimes it is not always as smooth as we expect.

Arumi has returned to the store. There were two girls there who helped him. It's not the girl who used to work for Ryanthi, because they're married now.

Something that feels so sad. Physically Arumi was way above them. However, who would have thought because they have been able to enjoy the beauty of marriage first. While Arumi, still struggling in his solitude.

That is God's justice. Physical beauty is not a guarantee in everything, because in fact love also requires more than just a beautiful body and beautiful face.

Time has shown sixteen thirty o'clock. Time to close the shop. The two girls were also preparing to go home.

Arumi was back alone in the store. For almost two years he chose to live there, although sometimes he returned to his home which is now occupied by Keanu and his small family.

Since Ryanthi's departure, Arumi's life has been quiet. He has lost one of his idols in his life. I don't know who he's going to tell and complain to now. I don't know who will accompany him again looking up at the night sky and feeling his silence. Everything is just a memory.

The same goes for his love story with Moedya. It has become a memory that is not easy to erase.

Sitting leaning against her small bed, Arumi kept her eyes on the photo of the mother. The beautiful face was wiped, her tears dripped without excuse.

Arumi misses Ryanthi a lot. He now feels what Ryanthi felt first when he had to lose the figure of his loved ones.

The girl knew and was well aware that a breakup was bound to happen in every togetherness. But he could never imagine, if the separation turned out to be very painful. It hurts so much and it feels so bad.

A moment later, Arumi wiped away the tears dripping down her cheeks. But somehow because the tears fell.

"I'm a strong girl, mother. I'm just like you ..." said Arumi. "I'm a strong girl ...." Arumi repeated her words. But that didn't stop her tears. He just felt more hurt.

He put the photo on his chest. Arumi was crying. The crying that sounded so heartbreaking. He did not care how hard he lamented, for there he was alone.

Only God sees and knows how long he has pretended to be mature and strong. In reality, Arumi could not even overcome her longing for those who had left her.

His encounter with Moedya had made the mist in his heart even more dense. Her beautiful hope had completely vanished. The love that he has kept and kept well during this time, may never be reciprocated again. Moedya seemed to have already closed the door of her heart to herself.

A deep regret. A stupidity that ruins everything. If Ryanthi used to have Adrian as a pillar that can support him to stay upright, then now who does Arumi have? The girl was completely alone.

Should he hope that Edgar returns and can straighten things out? I don't know. He also felt unsure if it would change what had happened. After all, that incident had already passed too long ago.

Arumi was also very stupid. He thought that Moedya would come back to him. He thought that if the love that man felt for him, would be able to make him survive. But Arumi was wrong. He was too proud of Moedya's great love for him. In fact, now he can only lament his fate, alone and lonely.
