The Mist In Arumi's Heart

Winter Surprise

Edgar strode boldly in a long, thick black coat. Likewise with Arumi, his appearance looks so sweet with a thick jacket and black boots that he wore at that time. The two of them got down from the car, and walked side by side into the magnificent building.

For a moment, Edgar felt strange with the atmosphere of his office that felt lonely.  He was stunned and glanced at Arumi. The beautiful woman with the red lipstick just scrunched her forehead. “Are you not mistaken to see the date, Darling?” ask Arumi slowly. He also felt surprised by the atmosphere of the office that was very quiet at that time.

“I don't think so,” replied Edgar. “My assistant said if I should come today because ...” Edgar did not have time to continue his words, as he saw Louisa appear and walk towards them. The beautiful woman in a neat bun smiled politely at Edgar and Arumi.

“What is this, Lou? Where is everyone?” asked Edgar in surprise.

Louisa showed an expression that was not okay. The young lady was confused. He also seemed very worried. “That's why I asked you to come, Sir. All employees here went on strike today,” reported in a regretful tone.

Hearing this, Edgar's face immediately became very serious. He stared hard at his beautiful assistant. Every now and then, Edgar squinted his eyes at a sign of incomprehension as well as a bag of trust with the report from his blonde assistant.

“What do you mean, Lou? Why am I being told now? After all, all the company's problems have been solved. What's up again?” Edgar showed his restless attitude even though not too much. However, it is only natural that he behaves that way.

“Let's talk in my room!” take Edgar. Not to forget he also invited and Arumi who at that time also looked quite tense. They entered a special elevator for the company officials.

“Honey, is everything okay?” ask Arumi. He tried to hide his anxiety from Edgar.

“I hope so,” replied Edgar flatly. He was still not finished with the news told by Louisa.

"You said I should come over here to check and sign the important files, so I took my wife and I. I don't think it'll be long" complained Edgar. The man looked a little upset.

"I'm sorry, sir. I was confused how to convey it over the phone," Louisa replied slowly. The young woman still seemed to regret the situation that was happening.

"You've done that before when I was in Indonesia!" rebut Edgar firmly. His face looked tense at that moment.

Hearing Edgar's tone that seemed so annoyed to his assistant, Arumi immediately clasped the finger tightly. Edgar then looked. Arumi looked at him who was smiling gently at him. “Already, Baby! Hopefully no problem is too serious,” said Arumi with a very soft tone. He must calm the husband so as not to get carried away by emotions.

Edgar did not answer immediately. The man seemed to think for a moment. A moment later, he glanced back at his wife for a moment, before the elevator door opened and ... Edgar looked at Arumi when he found a large enough piece of writing. A letter congratulating them on their marriage.

Louisa and the other employees who were representatives of various divisions in the company, applauded as Edgar and Arumi stepped out of the elevator. Apparently they have prepared a surprise party for her and Arumi.

Edgar was both happy and in disbelief at the surprise party. And Arumi as well. He repeatedly glanced at the husband when he received congratulations from employees at the company. “I hope the surprised attitude you showed was genuine, Honey,” whispered Arumi who was suspicious if there was any interference Edgar in the surprise party.

“I'm serious this time. I really didn't expect if they did this,” Edgar replied in a whisper anyway. After that, he returned to return the handshakes of the employees who congratulated him and Arumi.

“I'm sorry, Sir. I didn't have time to prepare a surprise party more than this. Our time is very limited,” said Louisa. He brought up the reason, though it was not important to Edgar.

“This is much more than enough,” said Edgar. “My wife and I thanked you for this party, and we were both very, very surprised. Remind me to give you a bonus!” edgar said with a happy hue. He glanced at Arumi who at that time looked as happy as he was.

Edgar and Arumi spend their time there, at a simple party hosted by the company's employees. Edgar mingles with them and forgets for a moment if he is a big boss in the company. It's not like Arumi. The woman tried to get along, even though she knew none of them.

By noon, the newlyweds continued their walk. Edgar invites Arumi to go shopping. They buy some daily necessities, especially snacks. Edgar knows very well that Arumi is not the type of woman who takes care of her diet too closely. However, strangely he still has a beautiful and slender body.

Patiently, Edgar pushed the troley and followed the wife who kept going around looking for the items they needed. In his little heart, the man who was about to have a birthday that July, smiled happily.

"So, what's it like to be a husband when accompanying his wife shopping?" edgar muttered while putting all the groceries into the trunk of his car.

Arumi laughed amusedly. "I hope you won't do it again, honey" he said, patting Edgar's cheek gently.

Edgar laughed softly as he closed the trunk door of his car. "If I feel like I'm a knock, then it's suicide. Anyway, I won't let you go alone, honey," Edgar replied as he walked in and sat behind the wheel. He then put on his seatbelt followed by Arumi.

"Why? Are you scared, honey?" asked Arumi while glancing at the husband who had started the engine of his car.

Edgar was silent for a moment. After that, he held Arumi's clothes and kissed her with affection. "Yes. Just think of it that way. Although Ben is still in prison, but we see for ourselves that Mirella can be released on bail and only become a city prisoner" Edgar replied with a look of his face that looks a little restless.

Seeing that, Arumi immediately rested his head on the sturdy arm of Edgar who began to run his car, and exited the self-service parking area. "I'll always be safe with you, baby. Don't worry too much. You are a great man and can take good care of me. I'm sure of that" said Arumi while kissing the cheek-friendly husband who was focused driving at the time.

"I have a plan, and I hope you agree with my plan" Edgar said without turning his eyes to Arumi.

"What's that?" ask Arumi. He still rested his head on Edgar's arm.

Edgar was silent for a moment. He hesitated to tell Arumi. While Arumi was still waiting for an answer from her husband.

"Why, Honey?" arumi.

Edgar stopped his car at the intersection of the red light. After that, he glanced at Arumi. "I've assigned Henry to be your personal bodyguard" Edgar replied calmly, though he knew that Arumi would not like that.
