Arumi stood in front of a white door. He then turned the handle so that the door was open. For a moment, Arumi was stunned staring at the room before her. It was there that Ryanthi lived part of his youth, before he was edited by Adrian.
Arumi began to step in, as did Edgar who had been following him from behind. The girl, spread her gaze to every corner of the room. He sensed a strange murmur that was beginning to greet him.
When Surya was alive, Ryanthi still often came and stayed at the house. Then, after Surya died, he began to rarely come there. However, Vera accidentally does not disturb Ryanthi's old room, so the room is still as before. Nothing changed from that room. Everything is still in its place.
However, as of now Ryanthi is gone. The room is also planned to be used as a room for his grandson Vera, who will return from abroad.
Almost all of Ryanthi's personal belongings were taken when Ryanthi moved into his current home. However, before the room was made into someone else's room, then Vera just wanted to make sure if there were really no more personal items belonging to Ryanthi there. The room itself still looks clean and tidy, because even though it is empty but always cleaned regularly.
Arumi stared at the furniture in the room, though not too much. He walked up to the window and stood there.
"You know something, Ed?" Arumi started talking after she had been silent.
"What?" Edgar asked as he approached the girl and stood next to her.
"Then ... mother said that this is the place to hide from my father's love," said Arumi Lirih.
Edgar scrunched his forehead. He could not understand the meaning of the girl's words. He glanced at Arumi who was staring out the window. "meaning?" Ask Edgar. He wants Arumi to give him an explanation that he can better understand.
Arumi smiled crazily. He glanced at Edgar for a moment before looking back out the window. "My father used to stand down there, while my mother hid here. The reason ... was because he felt ashamed and did not dare to look at my father directly. My mother was naive, while my father was a persistent man .. just like you," Arumi glanced at Edgar for a moment.
Edgar smiled slightly hearing that. "Do you think I'm like that?" Ask Edgar. Self-confidence grew in his heart.
"Yes .. I think so. A little annoying indeed. I myself do not know exactly what my father's tenacity used to be, but that's what made my mother become so admiring" explained Arumi.
"Have you started to admire me?" Edgar asked again, with a smile.
"No!" Replied Arumi firmly. He then passes into Ryanthi's walk in closet.
The cabinets and all the shelves and rows of drawers there are empty. Ryanthi had brought all his belongings, although Adrian had banned him. Ryanthi chose to donate all her old clothes which were on average still new. Yes, of course it was new, because Ryanthi came to the house, carrying only her worn clothes and flip-flops.
"The impression is nothing here, no longer" said Edgar who checked each drawer.
"Yes. Everything is empty" said Arumi while staring at the large glass cabinet there. The girl then smiled. "My mom must be so happy living here" he murmured. He then decided to go back to the bed room. Arumi fad open the drawer next to the bed one by one.
In there, Arumi found some old cooking magazines. He saw the year of the magazine. Arumi smiled as she showed it to Edgar.
"I was still in the planning of my father and mother that year" Edgar chirped Arumi softly.
Open the box carefully. There was a small notebook with a thick, heart-red cover. Arumi then opened the leaf from the book. Adrian's handwriting is in it.
"This is my father's notebook" Arumi said slowly. Edgar, who was curious, sat down next to him.
I looked at that pretty face, and I knew that she had so much sorrow behind her shining eyes. I asked, but he was silent and bowed. Ryanthi .. What's wrong with you?
My curiosity is getting bigger. That thing has been
it made me more motivated to get to know him further.
Ryanthi .. turned out to be heartbroken. His love left him and left him. It might be bad for him, but good news for me. It's time to show myself how worthy an Adrian is for Ryanthi. I'm sure, if I'm gonna be able to conquer the hardness of a Ryanthi's heart.
Arumi let out a long sigh after reading the writing.
"Your mother has a boyfriend other than your father?" Edgar asked with a half-murmurm.
"Come, Ed. Mom never told me about her ex-boyfriend. He just always told me about how much he admired my wonderful father. I think it's only natural that we have a girlfriend before marriage" Arumi said without turning her head. He then opened another sheet. Last note from the book.
Three years, I look forward to it coming back. My feelings were uncertain, when I found out if soon he would return home. I don't know what to do? I haven't prepared myself. I was nervous and ... Ryanthi, I miss him so much.
I have not enjoyed the beauty of twilight with him for a long time. I had complained to the wind too much and asked him to convey all my longing and uneasiness in this long wait.
Ryanthi .. she's the only girl who always makes me look forward to her presence. Tomorrow, he will return. What do I have to say to welcome his return? There aren't. I don't want to say anything. I just wanted to hug her tightly, and never let go of her again, until I felt unable to embrace her.
Ryanthi, only death will separate us.
Arumi closed the book. He took a long breath and bowed. While Edgar, he knows that Arumi is not doing well. He looked at the girl. "Arum .. are you okay?" Ask Edgar softly.
Arumi did not answer immediately. All that sounded was a soft sobbing from his lips.
"You want to borrow my shoulder, Arum?" Edgar was very gentle at the time.
"I miss them, Ed.." Arumi's tears broke in Edgar's arms. "I miss my mom and dad so much." isak Arumi again. At that moment, his heart felt so painful. A longing that will never end and will never be treated.
There are many regrets in Arumi. He sometimes enjoys his own days and does not get together with his parents. After that, he decided to continue his education abroad, and separated for a long time with them.
It feels so excruciating. Like being in the crush of a big rock. Arumi seemed to be standing on a sharp reef. He felt an incredible pain. However, he wanted to fight against the big waves, with all the strength that was still left from within him. He just wants to prove, if Arumi is not a weak girl, who will just give up on the fate of her life.
