The Mist In Arumi's Heart

The Mist In Arumi's Heart
Creme Brulee

Arumi kept looking straight ahead. Sitting on the balcony of Edgar's apartment turned out to be very comfortable. It doesn't feel like he wants to get out of there. A moment later, Arumi heard her phone ringing softly. He immediately reached into his bag and picked up the thin object.

For a moment, Arumi was stunned to see the message that went into her number. A message from a contact by the name of Moedya. The man asked Arumi. Lazily, Arumi again closed the screen of her phone. He also put it back in his bag, especially when Edgar had returned there.

The food they ordered just a moment ago has come. Edgar sat down next to Arumi again and served the meal that would be the dinner menu for the two of them. Sauteed Chiken Salad with Yoghurt Sause.

"I miss French cuisine, but I love Indonesian cuisine. Sometimes I want to do a culinary tour," said Edgar while tasting his food. While Arumi was annoyed because of incoming messages from Moedya. He did not immediately eat his food. His mind became unfocused.

Edgar looked astonished when he saw Arumi's attitude that suddenly became changed. He watched the girl. "What's up, Arum?" Ask. "You don't like the menu?"

Arumi shook her head slowly. "It's okay. I just ... um.. forget it!" Arumi immediately turned her attention to the food on the table. He began to taste the food.

Edgar knows if something is wrong with Arumi and may be interfering with the girl's mind. However, he did not want to discuss it further. It would be best if they only discussed small talk.

"Arum, can you make me Creme Brulee sometime?" Edgar asked as he continued to devour his food.

"Yes, sure. I have plenty of time" replied Arumi slowly.

"It was my late parents' favorite dessert. My mother often made them. You don't know yet, if my late mother was a chef" Edgar said with a proud hue on his face.

"Really?" Ask Arumi. Edgar's words had made him feel interested. For a moment, he forgot the message Moedya had sent him.

Edgar nodded with confidence. "Yes. My mom used to work in one of the five-star hotels in Paris. It just so happened that my father was staying there, and he fell in love with my mother's cooking at the time. My father asked a hotel attendant to meet with my mother. My father immediately fell in love with her and .. happy ending, even though my mother had to go first" Edgar lamented. However, he immediately covered it with a calm smile.

"Indeed will always be something that is very effective, when the first time we are met with our prospective partner. I think it will be a historical record that will never be forgotten" said Arumi. "Oh yeah, Ed. You're really not mad at me for what happened at the party?" Arumi brought up the embarrassing incident that night. There was a hue of anxiety on her beautiful face that was without any makeup polish at all.

Edgar gulps down his drink before he answers a question from Arumi. "If I had to be angry with you, I would have done it a long time ago. However, I can't do it, Arum." replied Edgar with his calm demeanor.

"I won't ask why. I also hope your answer is not what I had in mind. I'm too tired to hear it" Arumi said, adding her smile.

Edgar took a long breath. He returned to drink his drink. "Unfortunately .. I have no other answer than that," said Edgar while smiling and winking one eye mischievously, making Arumi immediately turn her face away. While Edgar only laughed softly because he was happy to have succeeded in making Arumi look uncomfortable.

Moments after dinner, the two of them sat back down and continued the conversation.

Arumi sat cross-legged on the sofa sideways while facing Edgar. While Edgar was still sitting relaxed and leaning his body comfortably. They haven't finished dinner yet and they leave a mess on the table.

Edgar was talking about something that really caught Arumi's attention, because he looked so serious when he listened to everything that the thirty-year-old man said.

Edgar was apparently telling me about the business he was building in Indonesia. He explained about his insurance company that he was starting at this time, about all the licensing processes he handled and all sorts of things. He also told me about the beginning of his plunge in the hospitality business.

The man who likes extreme sports, then told about the cooperation he did with Keanu. The plan, he will also build another business empire in Indonesia. He saw that Indonesia is a country that has a very good prospect to develop its business.

Meanwhile, the night continued to creep. The wind blows pretty hard. However, the city seemed never to fall asleep, although not as crowded as before. Sayup-sayup still heard the sound of the roar of vehicles down there. Arumi and Edgar were both sitting on the balcony. They were looking at the same night sky.

"Aren't you going home, Arum?" Ask Edgar.

"You want me to go home?" Arumi asked back.

Edgar nodded slowly. "I'm glad you're here" the man replied with a heavy voice.

For a moment they both fell silent. There was one thing that disturbed Edgar's mind and he wanted to explain it to the girl.

"Arum, I want to say something, '" Edgar began slowly.

"About what?" Ask Arumi without looking.

"About something you're accusing me of. I don't understand at all, how can you think if Diana and I conspired? I told you that I don't know him other than as my friend Adam's girlfriend. Nor will I do cheap ways to separate you from Moedya" explained Edgar.

"Tumben you don't call him a delinquent," Arumi responded calmly.

"I don't want to offend you" replied Edgar no less calmly than Arumi, who at that time laughed softly at hearing Edgar's reply.

"I don't care about him anymore, Ed. I. .. have to start thinking clearly, and of course move on with my life after all this mess" Arumi said slowly. He was actually lazy to discuss the matter. However, Arumi really wanted to spill all the anxiety in his heart.

"All right if I cry here, Ed?" Arumi's voice began to shake. Edgar looked at him for a moment.

"Come here!" Edgar then grabbed Arumi's shoulder and made the girl lean on his shoulder. Arumi did not reject that, even though in reality he felt ashamed of all his bad attitude towards Edgar so far.

"Why are you always so nice to me, Ed?" Isak Arumi slowly.

"You already know the answer, Arum," said Edgar slowly as he stroked gently Arumi's hair. "A person that trully loves you, will never let you go. I only bring one hope every time I see you, Arum," Edgar continued.

"What's that?" Ask Arumi. He began to stop his stuffing.

Edgar smiled as he muttered softly. "I hope you change your mind soon" he replied.

"Give me a little time" said Arumi slowly.

"I have a lot of time for you," Edgar replies, gently kissing Arumi's head.
