The Mist In Arumi's Heart

A Coincidence

Edgar took a scoop of Arumi's green tea ice cream, then he put it in his mouth. Arumi still acts unconcerned. However, Arumi did not refuse when Edgar bribed her. His effective attitude even almost came out if he did not remember that he was in sulking mode. Arumi re-enforced his body and showed Judes' face to Edgar.

“Darling, actually I also want to be here longer. However, Aunt Carmen is not used to it, either with the weather or everything. He has never left France in his entire life, and maybe he has a hard time adapting to be here longer. I hope you can understand that,” explained Edgar. He explained the reason, which must be returned as soon as possible to France.

“There is your home too. There I am of course, and we will spend our first summer together,” Edgar said. He hoped that Arumi could understand with the reason he had been proposing earlier.

Arumi was silent. He seemed to be thinking of something. A few moments later, the young woman turned her head and smiled as she nodded slowly. ”Not that I don't want to come with you, honey. However, I think I can still spend my time here for the next few days. You also didn't tell me before,” explained Arumi. His attitude now looks normal again.

“To be honest because I was confused on how to convey this change of plan to you, so I chose to talk first with Keanu. I know if you will definitely behave like this,” Edgar said as he continued to devour his ice cream.

Moments later, after they finished each other's ice cream, Edgar moved from his seat. He then invited Arumi to go back around in the mall.

Who would have thought, if at that time they cross paths with Moedya and Diana. The couple had just finished shopping. It was all visible from the few shopping bags that were in Moedya's hands.

Arumi was stunned to see that. This was something unusual when he saw his former fiancee inside the mall, with many grocery bags. He felt that Moedya had indeed started to change. Arumi smiled too. Edgar looked away from his face. Not much different from what Moedya did.

“Hai, Di,” greet Arumi. He tried to be friendly, and of course to be able to melt the tense atmosphere between them, especially between the two men.

“Hai, Arum. I thought you guys didn't want to leave the room,” Diana joked with a smile.

Arumi laughed softly. He then glanced at Edgar. The man only gave a slight smile. It seems Edgar is not so keen to respond to Diana's jokes. His mood was instantly gone when he saw Moedya's face before him.

Arumi could understand that. He immediately clasped Edgar's fingers tightly, making the man turn to him. Arumi looked at him with a gentle smile. “Honey, this is Diana and her fiance Moedya. I know if you have met often, but I hope you can get to know each other again in a new situation,” Arumi said as she looked at Edgar and Moedya alternately.

There was a cynical smile on the corner of Edgar's lips. He did not understand why Arumi had to do such a thing. “What do you mean, Honey?” edgar asked as he scrunched his forehead.

“Nothing. I just want to see Edgar Hillaire and Arjuna Moedya Aryatama shake hands and forget all the hate between them. I think Diana would have expected the same. Aren't you, Di?” Arumi turned her gaze to Diana. The girl smiled sincerely at Arumi. He nodded in agreement.

“If men say that women are creatures that are difficult to understand, then we can turn those words around to them. Aren't you, Arum?” diana's reply that momentarily made Arumi laugh softly.

“We'll be back in three hours. So, please have a conversation with all your heart! However, remember because this is a public place, so be it .. please take care of your attitude, gentlemen!” arumi continued, laughing softly. And so is Diana. The girl waved her hand at Moedya affectionately.

Silent, stiff, and and awkward. The two men stood up without greeting each other. Every now and then, they glanced at each other, but soon looked away from each other. The behavior of the two was really like a child fighting over something.

Edgar was too reluctant to say hello first. Moedya was just as prestigious as the Frenchman. It felt very uncomfortable, but it was obvious if they felt confused to start a conversation.

“What do you smoke?” moedya asked a moment later, after a long time they fell silent to each other. Eventually, he lowered his self-esteem, in order to eliminate the awkwardness between him and Edgar.

“Yes,” replied Edgar with a feeling that did not yet look comfortable. “I sucked a cigar,” he continued without turning to Moedya..

Moedya let out a slow breath. That bag of groceries, has made it look strange. “I want to smoke for a while and get all these groceries out of my hands,” said the man with the full body of the tattoo. “I don't mind if you want to join,” added Moedya while passing by just heading to a coffee shop in the mall.

Edgar felt it was not a bad idea. He decides to follow Moedya, though his facial features still show a hostile expression. He also sat down in front of Moedya who had already ordered two cups of coffee for the two of them. Moedya then took out her cigarette case and placed it on the table. He allowed Edgar to take his cigarette.

Though without a friendly expression, Edgar appreciated the offer from the man. He picked up a cigarette and started to smoke it. Thin smoke billows from a new cigarette.

“Congratulations on your wedding. I'm sorry I didn't say anything directly yesterday. Yesterday I went home first,” said Moedya with a little flat.

“I can understand that,” reply Edgar with the same tone of speech. “I'm supposed to thank you, because you've left Arumi. That way, I have the opportunity to reach his heart again,” said Edgar arrogantly.

Moedya let out a heavy breath. “I regret that, but take it easy as I won't be a pest in your relationship. I had to restore my pride and rebuild Moedya's character to make her look much better. I'm glad Arum is happy with you. He deserves that. I just hope that you can take good care of him" said Moedya. He looked sincere at the time.

"I know you can do it. Keanu told me a lot about everything that happened during Arumi's time in France. I am increasingly aware, if Arumi is not wrong because he has chosen you,” said Moedya. With a heavy heart he had to accept Edgar's superiority when compared to himself.
