The Mist In Arumi's Heart

Melancholy

That afternoon, Edgar drove his car calmly to the airport. While Arumi sat next to him while slightly sideways. He did it so that he could observe the lover clearly.

In the back seat, sits quietly Keanu, Puspa, and their two children Dinan and little Jenna, who are in Keanu's arms. The toddler was sleeping very well and was not bothered by all the chatter from his older brother, Dinan.

Arumi herself unceasingly looked at the man who, in the past few days, had become a driver for her, while traveling around Paris. The man who had just been silent and hid his eyes behind the black glasses he was wearing.

Meanwhile, Dinan was unceasingly speaking. Sometimes Arumi feels weird, maybe Keanu and Puspa should have two daughters. However, at least the child made the atmosphere in the car was not too quiet and boring.

“Darling, are you going to bring me here again?” puspa asked with a cheerful hue on his face. During his time in Paris, the tiny woman did look very happy.

“If Arum and Edgar are married and live here, I think we will definitely come here more often,” Keanu replied as he glanced at his wife. Keanu's words had managed to make Arumi look back and smile shyly. After that, he turned his eyes back to Edgar who still looked calm behind his wheel.

“If Arum doesn't want to come with me to stay here, then I will definitely force him,” Edgar who has been silent since. For a moment, he turned his gaze to Arumi who was watching him while smiling.

Arumi then brought her face closer to Edgar who was still focusing on the busy streets of Paris. “I think you're sleeping, Ed,” chirps the girl so that makes Edgar immediately turn to her. While Keanu and Puspa looked at each other while holding back their laughter.

The day was hard for Edgar. He felt lazy and did not want to get to the airport immediately. However, it is a pity that they have arrived at their destination, and are now preparing to wait for the plane that will take Arumi to fly away from France.

Sitting nearby, Edgar still did not say much. Arumi was confused as to what to do. Eventually, he chose to remain silent, even though he was uncomfortable with such a situation. Edgar seemed very uninspired at the time.

A few moments later, Arumi moved from her seat. However, just as he was standing, Edgar immediately held onto his wrist. Arumi then turned her head and looked at the man for a moment.

“What's up, Ed?” arumi asked as she scrunched her forehead. He was really surprised by the attitude of his lover who felt very strange.

Edgar stood up. “Where are you going? Come on Imane!” with a face that looks wrong. While Arumi again frowned and laughed softly.

“I'm going to the toilet. You want to accompany me?” The girl shook her head slowly.

Edgar was silent when he heard Arumi's reply. Immediately he removed his hand from the girl. Edgar smiled clumsily. He then chose to sit back and act cool. While Arumi just passed by to the toilet.

Seeing the strange attitude of his future sister-in-law, Keanu was able to understand what Edgar was feeling at that time. He then shuffled and sat down near the man who was also his business partner. Patted with a soft shoulder Edgar, until the man turned his head and smiled thinly. A smile that looks very forced and not as friendly as usual.

“Don't worry, Ed! I will definitely take good care of Arum. Just like yesterday when Arum was still with Moedya. You are still very attentive to him, and I always remember messages from you,” Keanu said trying to calm Edgar's disquiet.

Edgar nodded slowly. “I know,” the answer is short. “You are the best brother, Ken. I should have started getting used to calling you 'sister' from now on,” joked Edgar. It was like he was amusing himself.

Keanu laughed softly at the man's words.  “I'll take care of everything, Ed. Later I will tell you if everything is done,” Keanu said again.

“Sorry for troubling you, Ken,” reply Edgar. Sometimes he would massage the base of his nose to cover up the unrest in his heart.

Keanu again inched to near Puspa who was busy watching Dinan. While Arumi, back sitting next to Edgar.

Edgar glanced at Arumi for a moment. Arumi replied to him and smiled. “Are you alright, Ed?” ask Arumi. Since then he wanted to ask that to Edgar who looked agitated.

Edgar smiled as he grabbed Arumi's hand. He then clasped the girl's fingers tightly and played it. “How long ago, Arum? What were you doing in the toilet?” edgar whispered in curiosity. I don't know what it means to ask such unimportant things.

Arumi frowned. “Are you asking me like that?” Arumi put on an expression of astonishment. Edgar seemed to have thought about the question just now. The man just scratched his forehead and felt ridiculous.

“Do you have no other questions, Ed? Much more important discussion .. maybe.”

“Too many, Arum. There are too many important things I want to talk to you about, so I feel confused. Don't worry, Arum! I will be fine,” replied Edgar while kissing Arumi's springy fingers and embracing the girl's shoulder. Arumi then rested her head comfortably, on the shoulder of the lover who began to look calm.

“I know you'll be fine, Ed. Don't overdo it! Since when did you become someone as melancholy as this?” ledek Arumi with a mocking smile.

“Don't make fun of me, Arum! I'm a caring and romantic guy of course. You won't get a complete package like me" Edgar said with great confidence.

Arumi responded to all of the man's chattering with laughter. At least he was quite amused by Edgar's strange behavior and speech that day. "I won't argue with that" he whispered. "Are you going to see your friend after this?"

"Yes" answered Edgar briefly. "Why?" tanyanya.

"It's okay. I just want to know" replied Arumi.

"I've known you for a long time, only now do I feel that you're starting to pay attention to me, Arum. Thank you." Thank you."

"Oh my goodness, Ed. Don't think I'll be touched by your words!" argue Arumi nonchalantly.

Edgar laughed again. "That's what I love about you, Beib!" reply Edgar while again kissing soft fingers Arumi.

Not long after, the awaited moments finally arrived. With a heavy heart, Edgar had to take his hand off Arumi and let him go.

"Wait for me in Indonesia!" edgar's message after he gives a friendly kiss to Arumi.
