The Mist In Arumi's Heart

The Mist In Arumi's Heart
The Winter Party

The end of December. Paris is still covered in snow. However, it did not make Edgar undo his intention to hold a party at his residence. It was a private party, where Edgar only invited a few people who were really close to him.

The soft groove of classical music from a black disc, was heard filling the entire magnificent room. Although the air outside is very cold, but in the room it is the warmth that actually feels. The furnace continues to burn and increasingly adds to the warm atmosphere, which is peppered by laughter and small chats full of familiarity.

Edgar introduced Arumi to all of his colleagues present there. Some of them praised Arumi's beauty directly and made the twenty-six-year-old woman just smile.

“You liked the party, Darling?” edgar asked, wrapping his left hand behind Arumi's waist.

“Yes, of course. Our guests are very pleasant and friendly,” said Arumi slowly.

“After this, you should be willing to accompany me to attend events like this," Edgar replied.

"Oh yes, dear. They are all important and learned people of course, so it is only natural that they ...” Edgar did not continue his words, when he saw two new men coming and opened the thick coat they were wearing. Edgar stared intently at the two men. Those who are now stepping towards him and also Arumi.

Sahabtanya Durant, came to the party with someone holding the arm of the blond and long-haired man, very familiar and without feeling awkward at all, including when they had stood before Edgar and Arumi.

The man with shoulder-length hair who was partially tied up, smiled at his close friend. Durant's performance that night looked much more formal than usual. “Goodnight, Ed. How are you?” durant hugged and patted Edgar on the back several times a sign of familiarity between them.

“Good. Very well,” replied Edgar with a face that was not too radiant, especially after he turned to the short-haired beautiful woman who was still holding Durant's arm. The other woman is Mirella Evariste. The woman smiled sweetly at Edgar, occasionally she also glanced at Arumi.

“You don't want to introduce us to your wife, Ed?” Mirella with her smile that looked very strange. Edgar did not answer. He just stared hard at the beautiful woman,.

A moment later, Edgar turned his eyes to Durant.

“Darling, this is my friend Durant Bonucci. He is a native Italian man and is a tattoo artist,” Edgar points to the man with a black blazer and turtleneck as well as green-eyed. The man who was then immediately extended his hand to Arumi.

Arumi returned a helping hand from Durant. Unexpectedly, Durant kissed the back of Arumi's hand very politely.

“Mrs Hillaire,” greet the Italian man with a sweet smile.

Arumi smiled kindly. “Thank you for coming, Mr. Bonucci,” welcome Arumi still with her smile.

“Don't be too formal. Your husband used to call me D, but you can call me anything,” Durant said in a tone that sounded relaxed but a little firm. Arumi smiled again as she nodded. A moment later, he turned his gaze to the woman next to Durant.

“What is your wife?” arumi asked the blond man.

“Congratulations on your wedding. I'm happy too. Hopefully you and Edgar can always be a couple who get along well,” said Mirella ended with an amused smile. While Arumi responded to the woman's words with a smile. As for Edgar, he stared intently at Mirella. The man had to immediately ask Durant for an explanation, how could Mirella be at his party.

“What are you doing here, Mirella?” edgar asked in a tone that sounded unfriendly.

Hearing Edgar mention Mirella's name, Arumi turned to her husband. He wanted to convince me of what he had just heard.

Edgar returned Arumi's gaze. The man looked absolutely not radiant. All the happy hue he showed from the beginning of the party, instantly disappeared without trace after the arrival of Durant and Mirella there.

“Ya, Baby. She is Mirella Evariste. The younger brother of Benjamin Evariste, the man who held you captive. Mirella was one of the masterminds in your kidnapping plan as well as embezzlement of my adoptive father's company's customer funds. How can you be free, Millie?” search Edgar. The man still cast his sharp gaze at the twenty-seven-year-old woman. He really did not like the presence of Mirella there.

“I have made up for it, Ed,” Durant said calmly. “Mirella is currently a city prisoner. I guaranteed it. I make sure if he will be kind and comply with the applicable laws and regulations,” continued Durant confidently.

“How can you feel so sure? This girl is really cunning and shameless! I don't want to ruin my own party. With a forced I have to say, welcome to our party and may you enjoy it,” is upset Edgar invites Arumi to leave Durant and Mirella. His mind was suddenly in chaos. He was disappointed with what Durant had done.

“Honey, so she's Mirella?” ask Arumi. All this time, he had only heard the name Mirella without knowing which one it was.

“Ya,” replied Edgar briefly. “I don't understand why Durant would do such a thing. I had a serious conversation with him before I went to Indonesia. I didn't expect if he acted this far,” Edgar sounded very disappointed. His facial expression looked flat and like it held a great anger.

Yeah, of course you are. Edgar was not wrong to feel that way. What Mirella and her brother Ben have done, has indeed been very outrageous and out of bounds. It was only natural that Edgar wanted to see the brothers continue to curl up inside the prison. They must make amends for the mistakes they have made.

“Already! Forget about it for a moment! Do not let the warmth of this party become disturbed. We'll talk about this later, or don't talk about it at all!” arumi. What he felt was not much different from what Edgar felt.

Edgar took a deep breath and flicked it regularly. He was silent for a moment and seemed to be calming down. “Yes, you are right. It's our party and we just assume Mirella was never here,” he said, still standing with half leaning on a table in another part of the house.

Arumi then brought herself closer to Edgar. He felt he had to calm his husband. There was no harm if he gave one kiss to the man. Edgar did not reject it. He accepted it with pleasure.

“Let's go back to the party! Don't let guests think of us!” take Arumi with her as she grabs Edgar's hand and leads him back to the party room.

As good hosts, they continued to give a warm welcome in the cold air of Paris that night.

While in another corner of the room, Durant and Mirella were seen in tandem. “Beauty right? I admit that Edgar was never wrong in choosing a woman. Look, Durant! Arumi has a very beautiful waist,” Mirella glanced at the green-eyed man, who had continuously raised his gaze to Arumi.
