The Mist In Arumi's Heart

The Mist In Arumi's Heart
The Green Tea Ice Cream

Limping, Arumi got into his car lazily. After putting a seat belt on, Arumi then drove his car slowly. Now he knew the reason Moedya was saying goodbye to him the other day. Apparently, the man was about to start something new with Diana.

It's been. From now on, Arumi will stop to expect a miracle to come to her. He will no longer dream of a Moedya in his sleep. Thats enough. The man had to be completely released sincerely, even though it felt like releasing some life from within him.

Arumi parked his car not far from the lake. With weight, he stepped his feet up to the edge of the lake with the iron barrier. He stood there, with his gaze starting to empty.

That afternoon the weather was very cloudy. The wind was blowing pretty hard. Looks like it's gonna rain soon. But Arumi did not care. He was still standing staring at the ripples of lake water caused by the gust of wind.

Slowly the girl's tears fell on the corner of her lips. Again, drop after drop followed, and finally it glided swiftly. Arumi could not hold back her tears anymore.

"Moyama!" Screeched Arumi with all her might. He wanted the whole world to hear his screams. Arumi was crying while roaring. At that time, he was like a hunted animal that was dying from being hit by the arrow of the hunter.

"Moyama!" Again, Arumi again shouted the name of the man she loved so much. His body is now collapsing along with the spatter of rain that fell soaking the earth.

It was painful when he had to cry for a Moedya who had slipped out of his arms. Arumi seemed like she would no longer be able to reach the man. Moedya had chosen to fly away, using a new pair of wings.

Arumi squeezed the wet ground because of the rain which now fell more heavily. The girl bowed her face with raindrops that kept drenching her. However, for a moment Arumi was silent. Then he lifted his face. Arumi then looked at the man standing before her while holding an umbrella that protected her from the rainwater.

"Edgar?" Arumi. He then stood before the man who was looking at him with disappointment and without a word. While Arumi was just staring at him. However, suddenly Arumi's vision became clouded, his vision blurry to dark as soon as he felt. After that, Arumi did not remember anything else.

......................

That night, Arumi awakens in a room that is unfamiliar to her. Room with dark shades but looks very elegant. One thing that surprised the girl was when she found herself wearing clothes that were not her clothes. Arumi also saw his picture displayed in the room with a size large enough. It was like watching 55 inch television with a picture of his face. Arumi seemed to have guessed who the room belonged to.

He had a thick blanket covering his body. Arumi had to be stunned again because it turns out he only wears a short T Shirt top limited to his thigh. "Oh my God!" He slowly pulled his hair back. Arumi then moved out of the room.

This was the first time he had ever been in Edgar's apartment. The man has often been back and forth to Indonesia, but Arumi never had a reason to visit the luxury apartment owned by her ex-lover.

It's past seven o'clock at night. The atmosphere inside the apartment was so quiet. Arumi continued walking with her pair of eyes that did not remain silent. His gaze swept over the entire corner full of luxury, which showed who Edgar really was.

There was a faint sound in another part of the apartment. The sound came from a room that seemed to be a kitchen. Arumi then moved her foot there.

It looks like Edgar just didn't do anything. He only wears sleeping pants and is bare-chested. His body also seemed quite sweaty with slightly disheveled hair.

"Arum? I don't think you're awake yet" said Edgar. He then approached Arumi who was still fixated at the time. This was the first time, Arumi saw Edgar in such a look. The man was also now standing right in front of her, and at that moment Arumi saw something that made her heart feel stop beating.

Arumi never found out if Edgar immortalized his name into a tattoo that was painted on his right chest.

"What is this, Ed?" Asked Arumi with a slight tremble. He put his eyes on the tattoo.

"You" Edgar answered briefly. He looked at Arumi who was still watching the tattoo bearing his name.

"Because I love you ... Arum, "an answer that has stirred up turmoil in Arumi's heart. The girl looks angry. He then turned his face to the side. Edgar was still watching.

"Where are my clothes?" Ask Arumi without looking.

"Wet," answered Edgar briefly.

Arumi let out a short breath. He felt uncomfortable with his appearance at that time, and he was much more uncomfortable to see the appearance of Edgar who was still standing right in front of him. It is certain that Edgar had changed all his clothes.

"Nothing you want to ask again, Arum?" Edgar asked in a slightly cold tone. Arumi shook her head slowly, it was also still in a position without turning to the handsome man before her.

"alright. I want to take a shower first" Edgar said again. It just passed. Arumi then turned her back, She looked at the man who was showing off his sturdy back, who was stepping into her room. Suddenly, Edgar turned around. Arumi became excited because of it. The girl immediately turned her eyes to another place.

"If you are hungry, there are fruits on the table. There is ice cream in the fridge too. Just take!"

Arumi turned her head and smiled awkwardly. He then nodded slowly, although when he Edgar had resumed his steps.

Once Edgar is out of sight, Arumi then walks into the kitchen. The place was very clean and everything was neat.

Yes, Edgar was a regular guy. So it is natural that his residence is also as neat as that. However, Arumi is sure that it is not the result of Edgar's own work. Wherever Edgar might want to hold a rag and mop.

Arumi's stomach is hungry. Especially since he slept long enough. The girl then picked up a red apple from the black marble-coated table. Arumi stood up half-leaning on the edge of the table. He bit the apple and ate it until it was gone.

A moment later, Arumi was stunned. Usually he feels full with just an apple, but at this time his stomach still feels hungry. He opened a refrigerator as big as a silver cupboard. There was a lot of canned food in there, Arumi then took the ice cream from inside the freezer.

"Green tea?" The sound of Edgar's voice that had managed to make Arumi so surprised. Arumi then looked. The man looked much fresher. This time he wore a short white T Shirt.

"I ... starve," said Arumi timidly.

There was a small smile on the corner of the thirty-year-old man's lips. "I just bought ice cream yesterday. Ever since I met you, I've loved it" Edgar said. He took a spoon and offered it to Arumi.

"Why green tea?" Arumi asked with a gaze that continued to follow Edgar, who was now standing next to her.

"Because ..that's the taste you like the most," Edgar replied, returning Arumi's gaze. For a moment, the views of the two of them clashed against each other.

"Tell me, Ed! How did you get there this afternoon?" Arumi asked curiously, because suddenly Edgar was in front of her earlier.

"Because I followed you," replied Edgar without letting go of her gaze from Arumi's pretty face which at that time began to taste her green tea ice cream.
