Chapter 33

The thing that Aulia wanted the most in her life right now was to meet Rangga and his family. However, what can be done if destiny is written like that.

Kiai Sholeh's son will have his wedding tomorrow, of course, many people will be invited by the family. One of them is his friend's family, Mr. Mulyono Abimana. It turned out that the Damar Abimana family also came there.

When Aulia delivers an order to Kiai Sholeh's residence to entertain her guests, she accidentally sees Rangga and his family just got out of the car.

"Sister Rangga," murmured Aulia.

'Aulia?' batin Rangga's.

How shocked Aulia was when her eyes rubbed against Rangga. His heart raced fiercely and there was a shiver in his heart. Aulia quickly lowered her head and walked away from there. Moreover, his parents Rangga was also there.

"What's wrong?" shinta asked her son.

"I feel like I see Aulia," Rangga replied as he continued to look towards the girl in hijab and wearing a veil.

"Where? Don't make it up to you?" ask Damar to his son.

"When will you forget that woman? Remember next month you will also get married soon," continued Shinta while looking intently at her son.

"That's not my wish. It was you who forced me to marry Karmila. If, I meet with Aulia, then I'll cancel that wedding!" rangga said with annoyance and left his parents.

Aulia chose to sit first in the mosque for a while. He was afraid that Rangga and his family would still be there.

"O Allah, what trials must I face. When the servant will step into the knitting of the household, the man from the past is again present" said Aulia.

"O Substance that turns hearts upside down, strengthen the heart of this servant to the soul mate that You desire. Do not let this heart turn to people who do not deserve it" said Aulia in her prayer.

Vibrating love from the past, Aulia can feel it again. He was afraid that he would fall back into the pit of blasphemy that sent him into the valley of sin. For Aulia it was so hard to forget her first love. Although he had closed his heart to Rangga and tried to forget the man. At the time he felt he had forgotten himself and no longer considered the man a valuable person for him. Now she had not expected the man to be present in front of her.

Joseph's grandfather searches for Aulia's whereabouts who doesn't return to the car. After asking some of the students, he finally found the girl inside the mosque was holding both hands praying to her Lord.

After a while, Joseph's grandfather called Aulia. Until the girl approached her.

"What's wrong? You are in the mosque" asked Grandpa Yusuf.

"So Aulia met with Kak Rangga and his family in the parking lot, Kek," Aulia replied.

"What's? Then, do they realize your existence?" asked Grandpa Yusuf with an anxious look.

"Aulia thought they didn't know because they were in a hurry to leave and they didn't call or try to catch up" Aulia replied.

"Then you can still calm down. Whatever happens, grandparents will protect you" said Joseph's grandfather, wiping Aulia's head.

"Thank you, Cake. Aulia had been afraid that the love that had once been present would infiltrate again into my heart," said Aulia with teary eyes.

"Don't lose to Eve, son. You must be able to subdue it" said Joseph's grandfather.

Aulia thought she would never see Rangga again. In the afternoon at a women's special event. Aulia and Halimah's grandmother were at odds on the way to the mosque.

Again their gazes clashed with each other. Aulia quickly lowered her face.

"Aulia?" call Rangga this time.

Aulia's body stiffened as her name was called with a voice that used to always adorn her days. He regained his senses by the touch of Halimah's grandmother in his hand.

"You call my granddaughter?" grandma Halimah asked Rangga.

"That veiled girl is cu-cu ne-nek?" asked Rangga stuttered.

"Yes, he's my grandson. A foreign man should not call the name of the person at will," replied Halimah's grandmother.

"I'm sorry, Grandma. I subconsciously called out the name of the person whom I miss so much," Rangga said as he cupped his hands in front of his face.

"Don't call people's names. What if there is a slander later? Moreover, my grandson will soon be married," said Halimah's grandmother.

"Good, Grandma. I will remember his advice well. Assalamu'alaikum" said Rangga before leaving.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," replied the two women of different generations. However, Aulia replied very quietly.

He returned a greeting from Rangga because the law is obliged to return someone's greeting. Whether it's someone we like or not.

"Son, is he the man you and grandpa were talking about at home?" asked Grandma Halimah looking towards Aulia.

"Yes, Grandma," Aulia replied quietly.

"Astaghfirullahal'adzim, how did he get here?" ask grandma Halimah.

"It seems like their family was invited by the Kiai Sholeh family," Aulia replied as she took off her sandals and helped Grandma Halimah while opening her sandals. Aulia held Halimah's grandmother's hand so as not to fall.

Rangga's heart trembled every time he saw the bright eyes of the veiled girl he had met accidentally. His heart was timid as if his soulmate was back near him.

"No ... no! Only Aulia can make me like this. This love is only for Aulia. There's no way I like other girls" Rangga said.

"Mas Rangga, have you seen his watch?" asked Kiai Sholeh as he passed by.

"Alhamdulillah, there is Mr. Kiai. Fortunately the mosque officials secured the items left behind," replied Rangga with a charming smile.

"For sure it's a very valuable watch until willingly come back here from the hotel," said Kiai Sholeh with a laugh.

"Yes, this is a gift from Aulia. When I have a birthday. I always take care of, care for, and wear it. It was because of the rush when he heard the iqomat and there were still people queuing for ablution, so the highest," replied Rangga with a shy smile while holding a watch attached to the right wrist.

Fathir who was standing not far away from them could hear the conversation of the two people. How surprised he was when he heard the name Rangga was called by Mr. Likik. Especially when Rangga mentioned the name Aulia. More and more convinced that the handsome man is Aulia's lover who used to impregnate him.

Both Fathir's hands clenched firmly. It felt like he wanted to beat up Rangga right now. Because of that man Aulia's life was ruined. Because of Rangga, Aulia's good name became contaminated. Because the young man was Aulia's chance to achieve her dream of becoming a failure.
