"Either excessive in consuming food or drinks, either because it is too little or too much. This is as He said in Al Araf verse 31.
(“O Adam's grandson! Wear your nice clothes at every (entering) mosque, eat and drink, but do not overdo it. Truly, Allah does not like the superfluous.”)
"The government is in the form of advice and guidance not to overdo eating and drinking, not as a form of banning" continued Grandpa Yusuf.

"If you eat and drink too much, then the body will accommodate excess calories that will result in weight gain and suffer from obesity until death. Similarly, if the intake of eating and drinking too little will result in lack of nutrition and susceptible to disease," added Granny Halimah.
"The Prophet's Hadith that the man who did al-israf (excessive attitude), one of which began from the desire to obey his appetite," continued the old woman with black Thursday.
Narrated from Anas Malik RA, Rasulullah SAW said, “One of the characteristics of excessive (al-israf) You eat every thing you want.” (HR Ibn Mujah No 3345 of Anas ibn Malik).
