Chapter 14

Aulia and Annisa were sitting sweetly in the back seat while Fathir was driving in the front. Today they plan to go to the mall which is about 13 kilometers from the pesantren. Aulia rarely goes to town. Mostly he went to the market with Grandma Halimah. Or go to the minimarket near the house, it is also to deliver the trading order.

Although it is a small town, there are many citizens who make buying and selling transactions. Sukahening City is a small town with a majority of the population being traders and farmers. Only a small number of them are civil servants. In addition, the population is also a factory worker in the household industry. Excess citizens there they do not like to be unemployed, so choose to trade.

"It turns out a lot of merchants sell their merchandise here?" tanya Aulia was amazed to see the people who were bargaining along the street of the city square.

"Yes, they sell here only twice a week usually. Thursdays and Sundays from eight in the morning to three in the afternoon. However, during this one week all are free to sell from seven in the morning to five in the afternoon. It's on the anniversary of the founding of the silent city. If you want, there is also a festival in the district next door. We will go there later" explained Annisa.

"I have to go home before Ashar time" said Aulia guiltily because it was obvious that Annisa was so excited.

"Yes, it's okay. We just walk in the mall" Annisa said.

"The inhabitants of this city are many traders?" ask Aulia.

"Hmm, it might be more appropriate for the villagers to be merchants in the city. Usually they sell produce belonging to private gardens or buy directly to farmers without intermediaries" Annisa replied.

"Citizens in our village are also average traders. Yeah, do you know why they chose to be traders?" annisa and Aulia asked.

"Because in Islam, the profession of being held is noble. Rasullullah and many of his companions became great traders. They are good at business" replied Annisa and made Aulia look at him with admiration.

"Originally a trustworthy and honest trader" Fathir continued.

"As in the hadith it is also mentioned, 'Honest and trustworthy traders will be raised with the Prophets, the shiddiqs and the martyrs'." Fathir explained in more detail.

"Lia, now you're also a sweet potato chip dealer, cassava, and tara, right?" Annisa smiled at her friend.

"Yes. Grandma Halimah often reminds me when weighing the chips, so as not to lack the scale. I weighed up several times for fear of lacking," Aulia replied honestly.

"Big sin if a trader is cheating in trading. For example, selling damaged goods or reducing the amount" said Fathir.

"Oh, yes. It is not that this is also in the Quran. Surah what, huh? I've read his translation of words if the dose for himself asks to be fulfilled, but if he takes it for others he reduces" asked Aulia while remembering.

"That's Surah Al Muthoffifin, which reads: 'Woe to those who cheat (in measuring and weighing)!. (That is) those who when receiving a measure from another they ask to be sufficient, and when they measure or weigh (for others), they subtract.'that's verses one through three," answer Fathir.

Aulia looked at Fathir's back, the admiration for the male figure growing. In addition to having a handsome face, good heart and good morals, also a beautiful voice. The understanding of religion also made Aulia like this young man.

Aulia's heart was often made to beat when she heard the holy verses. He who is still lacking in religious knowledge, always thirsts for knowledge.

"God's Insha, Aulia was a trustworthy and honest merchant" Annisa said, embracing Aulia's shoulder.

"God's Insha, Aamiin Ya Rabbal Alamin," Aulia replied with a shy smile.

"Ning, this is too much for me," Aulia said as Annisa gave 2 sets of robe and khimar.

"No. This is because the price of clothes is cheap. And also not excessive. I know you don't have a lot of clothes. So, accept!" Annisa gave the paper bag to Aulia.

"Just accept Aulia. It is the sustenance of Allah for you through Annisa" said Fathir. Actually, he also wanted to buy a robe for Aulia. Mumpung again cheap, but surely it will make Aulia not feel good. So, he broke his intention.

"Ning, thank you, yes. May it be a field of reward for you. And may Allah increase the sustenance for you" said Aulia, praying kindness for Annisa.

"Aamiinu. Yuk, now we eat a little more in time Dzuhur," asked Annisa.

"We should pray Dzuhur first after that just eat. Uh, lesehan on the edge of the rice field, the cuisine is delicious," said Fathir. Finally they also prayed Dzuhur where they had lunch.

The event of walking around the mall and buying clothes, made Aulia happy. He knew how crowded the city was. Aulia also just found out that the city where she lived was famous for the home industry of mukena and Muslim clothing that would be sent to major cities on the islands of Java and Sumatra.

In the afternoon as usual after returning from studies at the Al-Ikhlas mosque. Aulia would wrap the chips that she had made this morning until noon. New afternoon in the wrap. Aulia cultivated the garden of Grandfather Joseph and the profits were divided in two. Every two days they get about 200,000 dollars per person. Aulia set aside some for her purposes, and some for her.

"Grandfather, he said tonight want to fill the study on the RT next door?" ask Aulia.

"Yes. What's up?" asked Grandpa Yusuf with a smile.

"This please share for orphans, orphans or the elderly," Aulia pinta handed over several envelopes that were already filled with the same money.

"Alhamdulillah. May Allah repay the good that you did this, son." Grandpa Yusuf stroked Aulia's head with a smile.

"Alhamdulillah, Mother. Sales are always up every day. So, have money to give alms" said Aulia smiling happily.

"That is God's promise. Every treasure we give up, it will be replaced many times. Our origin is sincere and sincere because of God," said Grandpa Joseph again.

Grandma Halimah who saw that always shed her tears. He was happy that Aulia was among the children who wanted to change for the good of her future. Although sometimes Aulia each often cried because she remembered her sins.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat. Ustadz Yusuf .. Ustadzah Halimah!" call someone from the front of the house.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," Grandpa Yusuf replied as he walked towards the door.

"Who will come before the magrib?" Grandma Halimah wondered.
