My madam, my poison

My madam, my poison
New residence

Day went by dusk. But Fatimah had not yet given birth. Like my experience when I was about to give birth to Lyra first, my little daughter was born 12 hours later after I felt heartburn. I can't have Lyra staying at this hospital. I finally decided to say goodbye to Darren's brother. But...where should I go home? My house can no longer be occupied. Go home to Mila? Nah! I won't drop my pride by going home let alone living with him.

This afternoon I decided to find a rented house. Coincidentally not far from the neighborhood where I used to live there were several textile factories. Certainly many boarding places or rented houses around it.

I set my feet to find a new place to live. I also stopped at the gate saying "RECEIVE PUTERI EMPLOYEE COST".

"Assalamu'alaikum, ma'am," I said to a middle-aged woman who was just about to close the gate.

"Good afternoon, Mom. Can I help you?"

It turns out he had a different faith in me. Indeed, when viewed from her face, the woman had white skin and narrowed eyes. Maybe he is of Chinese or Chinese descent.

"Sorry, Mom. Are there any empty rooms here?" my many.

The woman then observed my appearance from head to toe, then looked at Lyra's face and ended up in a large bag that I held in my right hand.

"Where did Mom live? Why are you looking for a place to stay this afternoon?" tanyakanya.

"Ehm, a few days ago my house was hit by a fire. I don't have a place to live anymore."

The owner of the boarding house I did not know his name seemed to think for a moment before giving an answer.

"Sorry, Mom. I only accept factory employees. Especially if you have a baby. I was worried that a fussy baby mother would bother the other hostesses who were all single.

"Mom don't worry. I'll pay the rent upfront. I can also guarantee my daughter is not fussy."

I tried to convince the hostess to let me rent her room.

The haired woman thought back. He seemed to doubt my words.

"The rental fee here is 750,000 for one month. Late to pay for more than three days, I will ask for back the room key," explained the hostess.

I unzipped the bag containing my clothes and took the envelope containing the donation money from the residents that Mr. Burhan gave me. I was quite stunned to see the amount of money in it. Probably more than three million dollars. I took 750,000 and gave it to the hostess.

"I'm paying for the next month" I said.

The hostess walked towards one of the rooms on the second floor while I followed behind her.

"This is the key to her room, I hope you stay here" she said, handing me a key.

"Thank you, Mom."

"Excuse me."

Alhamdulillahot. I give you an amazing thanks. Tonight I got a new place to shelter from the cold out there.

I put the key in the hole and then I opened the door to the room number 39. It appears in front of me a room measuring 3x3 meters. Not as spacious as my room used to be, but most importantly this room was more than enough for both of us.

In the room there was a four-stacked plastic cabinet and a 20 cm thick foam mattress and a bathroom behind the room.

I laid Lyra's body on the bed, and I looked at the sleeping face.

"You are my strength, son. From tomorrow we will fight together. Just the two of us" I said. Without me noticing the clear circles dripping and wetting the cheeks.

You must be strong, Azzura. Your tears are too precious to cry for Fabian.

Prove that you can live without it.
