My madam, my poison

I really didn't expect, the guest who came to my house that night was Gibran and his family. What's the matter? Why did he suddenly come with his parents? Even without telling me before.

"Assalamualaikum," said Yudha who stood in the front row.

"Wa-wa-alaikumsalam."

Nervous, it was that feeling that ruled me at this moment. Why do I suddenly feel bad like this?

"Eh ... Great guests have arrived apparently," said the mother who greeted them on the terrace of my house.

Whahuh? My guests have arrived? Do you know about their arrival tonight?

"Why did you let them on the porch, son?"

"Oh, ma-ma-ri please come in," I said in a still stammering voice.

I looked at Gibran's face that night. He looks so handsome in his suit. Between the mother more graceful with a long-sleeved evening dress.

A few moments later Mbok Ami and Fina came out of the kitchen. Mbok Ami carried a tray containing 4 cups of warm tea, while Fina brought some wet cake dishes.

Whatisthis? They even made him drink and carry assurances before meeting these guests. Not only in this house is I who do not know to hold back about their arrival.

"Uncle Giblan!" I saw Lyra come out of her room. He also seems to know about his arrival.

"You're so pretty, son? It must be Fina who made you makeup," said Anita ma'am.

Oh, so Fina set me up. Apparently the job of the school to put my makeup on was just his wits. What an amazing partnership.

"Te-te-thank you, ma'am."

I quickly lowered my face before Gibran looked at me.

"Please drink, Mr. .. Bu .. Mas," said the mother.

They grabbed each other's cups and took a sip.

"Uncle Giblan and Uncle Nan-nan are handsome" said Lyra who responded to the brothers with a faint smile.

"Ehm!" Suddenly sir Yudha cleared his throat. It seems he will start talking.

It feels like this heart is pumping blood several times more than before.

"Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi. My family and I apologize if our arrival was impressed. Our purpose in coming here is to convey our good intentions to propose Nak Zura to our first son named Gibran" Yudha said.

My eyes are rounded. I can hardly believe what I just heard. Gibran and his family suddenly came to propose to me without prior notice.

"This gibran is so serious about continuing his relationship with Nak Zura to a higher level. So I Nak Zura also welcomed my son's good intentions" he added.

"How, Son? Did you accept our proposal?" ask Anita ma'am. A second later all the pairs of eyes that were in the room were staring at me. Waiting for an answer they certainly hope for.

I paused for a moment and thought. I admit I feel comfortable and at ease near Gibran. He also treated Lyra so kindly and affectionately. Does this mean I'm starting to fall in love with her? So, what about the dreams that are present after the prayers of istikharah yesterday? I'm even still a song with who the man who was in the dream was.

I took a deep breath. Bismillah! May my answer be of good to all.

"I-I accept this proposal," I said.

"Alhamdulillah." The speech slid in unison from everyone who was in the living room. Seconds later my netra and Gibran's netra met. I can catch the twinkle at once haru in the look in his eyes.

"Thank you, Nak Zura," said Mr. Yudha.

"Gibran does not want to hold a proposal event or the like. So, tonight it's this pair of rings that will bind you before you head into a truly legitimate relationship in the eyes of law and religion," said Anita bu while taking out a heart-shaped box from her bag and putting it on the table. He then grabbed my hand and placed the ring on my ring finger and Gibran's ring finger in turn. I wonder why this ring fits so well with the size of my finger.

"Why does the ring fit so well, Mom? May they really be a match," said the mother.

For a moment I stared at the diamond-eyed ring that coiled around my ring finger. I'm sure it's the equivalent of a unit of car.

"Mother and Uncle Gibran want to get married?" asked Lyra with her innocent eyes.

Why would a child like this ask that question? had Mom and Fina told him before?

"Yes, Honey. Soon Gibran's uncle will be your father" replied the mother.

"Holes! Lyla has two fathers!" her cheering.

"Oh yes, Miss Sabrina, regarding their wedding plans, what if their return is held next month?" said Anita ma'am.

"Zura's having this marriage, so all my decisions leave it to him" she said.

Again all eyes were on me.

"How's Nak Zura? Does Nak Zura object to this plan?" ask sir Yudha.

I let out a breath.

"God willing I agree."

"Alhamdulillah." Once again the sentence slid simultaneously from all who were inside the living room.

Mother then took Mr. Yudha and his family to the dining room.

I just found out this is the reason bi Ami cooked rendang tonight.

"For your marriage, what kind of concept do you not want? Inside or outside?" ask Mr. Yudha between our dinners.

"I don't like anything excessive, sir. For me the most important thing is the sacredness of the event itself. Looks like we just need to invite friends or close relatives," I said.

"What do you think of the bridegroom?" Mom chiming.

"Anything that makes my future wife happy I will come" Gibran said .

"Alright then, we don't need to spread out a lot of invitations. Only relatives and close friends," said Mr. Yudha.

"How about your wedding dress?" ask Anita ma'am.

"I will design it myself" replied Gibran.

"Lyla later also made a nice dress as well yes, Uncle Giblan," said Lyra.

"Yes, Honey. Later you and your mother will wear clothes with the same model and color."

"Holes!" cheers cheerfully. "Oh yeah, Fabian's dad will be invited, right, Mom?" tanyanya.

A pair of netra and netra Gibran meet.
