My madam, my poison

My madam, my poison
Start growing?

"Aren't you delivered, Mr Amin?" asked Keenan after we finished talking about our business plan at the cafe.

"Before this place my mother and I visited Fabian in a mental hospital. I asked Mr. Amin to take mom home."

"Our house is in the same direction, isn't it? What if you come home with me?" Suddenly Herdian chimed in.

"Oh yeah, Lyra's coming home at this hour. I miss playing with him" Keenan said.

"Haikal would have loved to have taken me to your house and met Lyra" Herdian said.

What's with these two grown men? Why do they want to drive me home? Keenan and Herdian were both good, but, if told to choose, I would prefer to take Keenan home. Although I sometimes feel awkward when I am with her, I start to feel comfortable when I am around her.

"Zura .. Why are you? Pliss doesn't have to think anything." I cursed myself.

"We're going home now? Or do you still have business elsewhere?" ask Keenan.

"We went to Lyra and Haikal schools. It's soon home from school" said Herdian.

"Ehm .. I-I take a taxi. I'd like to stop by the supermarket anyway."

I had to choose this answer. I think this is the fairest for them.

"All right then. For payment I will do this afternoon. Good day."

Herdian is seen putting a piece of fifty thousand bills on the table before finally leaving the cafe. Not long after Keenan and I left our table. I had just turned my back, at the same time a cafe waitress passed by. Collisions are inevitable. Food berkuah whether it's soup or meatballs that he brought was spilled and hit right on the arm to my hand. The feeling of pain due to food that is still hot was immediately spread.

"Aww!" Unaware I screamed in pain.

"Be careful, Ma'am!" sentak Keenan's.

"Ma-ma-af, Mr. .. Madam. I was not intentional."

"It's .. I'm okay." I tried to look fine even though my hands were starting to burn.

"Zura .. Your hands blister." Keenan suddenly observed my arms and hands that were starting to turn red. "You don't take it as a trivial thing" he added.

"I'm fine, really."

"Can I get you a P3K box?" ask Keenan to the waiter. He was seen still busy cleaning up spills of food fruiting on the floor with a napkin.

"Ma-ma-af, Sir. We don't have P3K supplies."

"Shelf!" Keenan hit the table.

"What kind of cafe is this! How could a cafe of this size not provide a P3K box. Don't you think there was an accident like this?!"

I silently looked at Keenan's face. I've known him for over seven years, and only this time I saw him angry. But it is basically handsome, being angry is still handsome. Hehe.

"Zura ..what the hell are you, not exactly clear." I cursed myself again.

"Where's your manager?"

"A few moments later, a woman approached us. When viewed from his appearance, he is not a random person in this cafe.

"Good day, what is this, Mr. .. Madam?" tanyakanya.

"Your employees are sloppy. Look, 'cause he's got my friend's hand blistered from a hot spill."

"Before we apologize for the inconvenience. I'm sure my employees didn't do it on purpose."

"Lantas, is it true that a cafe of this size does not provide P3K for visitors?" ask Keenan.

"Yes, Sir. We do not provide P3K, but we provide special clinics for visitors who have accidents like this mother. The clinic is over there," said the graceful-looking woman.

"I hold this cafe accountable. My friend's wounds must be treated immediately" Keenan said.

Suddenly the woman I didn't know her name was looking at Keenan's face.

"wait. Your face is no stranger to me. You're Keenan' right?"

"really. Sorry, who are you?"

"God. It's me, Pinkan, your neighbor first."

Keenan seemed to remember something.

"I'm Pinkan, who used to live right near your house."

"Ah, yes. I remember now. Pinkin' that tomboy, right? Why did you become this woman?"

"What do you mean? I'm a real woman."

"Sorry, you used to look tomboyish once, but now you're this feminine."

"God. Why are we even talking. Come, Mom, I'll take you to the clinic." Pinkan took my hand and took me to the clinic at the back of the cafe.

I felt the pain in my hands slightly lessened after the doctor applied a special burn cream on my arms and hands.

"For some time you should not be exposed to water hands," said the doctor after finishing installing a bandage cloth.

"All right, Doc."

"Oh yeah, it's an antibiotic, you drink it three times a day." The doctor put some medicine in a plastic valve and gave it to me.

"Thank you, Doctor."

"All medical costs have been borne by the cafe, ma'am," said the doctor. I nodded in understanding.

"I'll excuse you, Doc."

I left the doctor's room and approached Keenan and Pinkan who were still fond of nostalgia in the waiting room. Ah, why do I suddenly feel dislike for their intimacy?

"It's over, Zura?" ask Pinkan.

It must be Keenan who told me my name.

"Already, Mom."

"Don't call me mom. It seems our age is not far away. I am not married after all. Just call me Pinkan. Once again I as the owner of the cafe apologized for this incident," said Pinkan.

"Oh, it's okay. Accidents can happen to anyone and anywhere. I hope you don't scold let alone fire the employee who hit me. I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose."

Pinkan smiled thinly.

"I'm not going to fire my employees. I'm sorry, I think you're Keenan's wife."

"Oh, mom-bu-no. We're just business partners."

"When I was a kid I used to live in a Carnation estate. From the time I was in 2nd grade until I graduated from elementary school. I moved to the city of P because my father was transferred there. I did not expect after more than twenty years it turned out that Keenan and I were reunited at this cafe," said Pinkan.

"Still hurt his hand?" ask Keenan.

"Alhamdulillah, it's gone."

"Before the wound is dry, you can wash it by way of tayamum" said Keenan. I nodded in understanding.

"Yes, we'll excuse you."

"Thank you, Pinkan."

"Why are you grateful? I should be the one apologizing. You're hurt by the carelessness of one of my employees."

"It's okay, God willing the wound is not so severe. The next few days will be healed" I said.

"Oh yes, Ken. Can I have your phone number?" ask Pinkan while giving his salary to Keenan.

"certain."

Keenan then grabbed the phone and entered his mobile number.

"Thank you, we will connect again later through chat," said Pinkan.

I don't know why I didn't like that sentence. Keenan and Pinkan have exchanged mobile numbers, after this they will definitely get more familiar, even closer, and I like it less. What is this feeling? Does this mean I'm starting to fear losing Keenan?
