My madam, my poison

My madam, my poison
Fear

"Back from your brother's house, why is your face bent so?" ask mom when I get home.

"Maureen must have said something that hurt Mom." Fina.

I responded to their words with a faint smile.

"In the meantime, Maghrib, let's get ready for congregational prayer" I said.

"After marriage, do you still live here or do you live in Gibran's house?" fina asked as we chatted in the living room while watching television.

"So, I haven't talked about it with Gibran. But as a wife it would be better to stay with her husband" I said.

"Mother, Lyla is sleepy" said Lyra, who was sitting on my lap.

"Well, let's go with Lyra to bed."

"Tonight I was lying in Kamal Lyla" he whined.

"Why indeed? Lyla scared?"

"Lyla wants to be read a fairy tale."

"All right."

I got out of my seat and went into Lyra's room.

"Mother."

"Yes, son."

"If you're married to Giblan's father, Lyla can't miss you?" lyra asked while leaning her head on my lap.

"Bby dong. Time cannot."

"But Mbak Fina said, if we bob beltiga, Lyla will be difficult to have a little sister."

What the fuck is Fina. Why should he say that to Lyra who doesn't know anything yet.

"Oh yeah, which story does Lyra want to read? Cinderella, the golden cucumber, or the ugly duckling?" I quickly switched the conversation.

"Golden cucumber."

I picked up a book from the bookshelf and started reading it.

"In ancient times, there lived an old widow. He lives alone near the forest. Everyday work is looking for firewood to sell. One afternoon, there was the sound of a baby crying. Out of curiosity, the grandmother looked for where the voice came from. How surprised he was to find, …"

I closed the storybook because Lyra had fallen asleep. The sleepiness started attacking me. I lay my body on Lyra's side.

Suddenly, Lyra and I sat alone in a beautiful garden.

"Assalamu'alaikum," said a man who had suddenly appeared before me."

I also raised my face.

A smile rose on my lips as our pair of neutrals met. He is Gibran, my future husband.

"Getishalight." I answered his greetings.

"Come with me" he said.

The man who was only a matter of days to be my priest just smiled. His right hand held my hand, while the other hand held Lyra's.

"Where are we going, Giblan's father?" asked Lyra who was just as curious as I was.

"We go to the park over there" replied Gibran.

Lyra and I followed as Gibran led us to a park. I admit the park is more beautiful than the park we previously visited.

I was astonished when Gibran slowly removed his hand from mine and Lyra's.

"Where are you going?" my many.

"You guys have arrived at a beautiful park, it's time for me to go" he said. That faint smile did not disappear from his face in the least.

"Whatchu mean? I won't let you go alone" I said.

"Thank you for filling my days" Gibran said.

Of course, I was confused by his words.

"Where's Giblan's dad going? Lyla's coming in "

"You're here with your mother."

Slowly Gibran walked away from us. Surprisingly he waved his hand as if he wanted to say goodbye.

"Dad! Don't leave! Lyla's coming!"

My little princess ran after him but fell on the grass.

I rushed over to Lyra and carried her.

"Come, Son. We're home."

I circulated my gaze in that vast flower garden. Why do I suddenly feel so confused? Which way should I go to my house?

When I was confused, suddenly someone took my hand.

"Come with me, I'll take you home" he said.

I also looked towards that voice.

"Assolatu khoirumminannaum."

The sound of the dawn made me awake.

The dream ... yes Rabb .. Why do I suddenly feel so scared?
