My madam, my poison

My madam, my poison
Gibran Change

The Keenan house.

That night Keenan and his parents were seen circling the dining table.

"Where's your brother?" ask the father.

"Eitherway. Since coming home from the office this afternoon I haven't seen him. Maybe he's in his room."

"Mas Gibran hasn't come home yet Mr. Madam." Mbok Marni who just appeared from the kitchen chimed.

"Where did he tell Mbok to go?"

"Last noon he came home for a while, then left again until now."

"Try calling your brother. Tell him to come home now for dinner" said the mother.

Since becoming entangled in a drug abuse case and undergoing rehabilitation for six months, Anita decided to quit her job as a career woman and focus more on her family.

Keenan picked up his phone and dialed his brother's number. A connecting tone was heard, but Gibran ignored his call.

"Maybe Gibran's on the road, ma'am."

"She'll be able to pull over to answer the incoming phone."

"You don't need Gibran to be big. He can take care of himself" said the father.

"Did you forget that night his phone couldn't be reached. Apparently he had an accident on the road. I'm afraid the same thing is repeated."

"Believe me, she'll be home soon."

Apparently the father's words were right. A few moments later there was the sound of a car roar from the direction of the yard. Not wrong, it's the sound of Gibran's car.

"I told you, Gibran's fine."

"Assalamu'alaikum."

"Vaalaikumsalam. Since when do you say hello when you enter the house?" satirize the father.

"Yes. I noticed now you are also diligent in prayer."

"Pa and I should be happy I'm changing for the better."

"Of course we're glad you've now changed so much. You who used to come almost every day to discotheques and entertainment venues, now diligently visit mosques and studies."

"Have you eaten?" ask Keenan.

"There is a favorite food Mas Gibran loh, chicken gulai," said mbok Marni.

"Squeaky. Why with?" mumbling Keenan.

In order to answer his curiosity, Keenan decided to meet his brother in his room after dinner.

"Tokay! Geck! Geck! Can I come in?" he said from the front door of the room

"Get in, the door's not locked."

"I'm happy with your change for the better. But, I wonder, is there someone who made you change this way?"

"What do you mean?"

"Is the person who made you change that woman?"

Gibran shook his head quickly.

"Why do you associate it with women? Is not turning to the right path a good deed?"

"I hope you change from your own heart. Not because of coercion or anything else. Good night."

Keenan had just pulled the doorknob when suddenly Gibran called out to him.

"Hmm, there's something I want to talk to you about."

"Talk, I'm ready to be a good listener."

"I-I fell in love with a woman" Gibran said.

"Whoever the person is, I need to thank him. He's already made my older brother turn into a better person."

"You know him, Ken."

"really? Who is that girl?"
