My madam, my poison

My madam, my poison
Chased sins

By late afternoon Silvia arrived at her house.

"Where's the father, Bi?" he asked the housekeeper for not finding the father in his room.

"Master's in the back garden, Non."

"Tumben once an hour in the afternoon like this Dad is in the park" said Silvia.

The man in the wheelchair was apparently daydreaming. He was even slightly tiptoed when the mere princess rubbed his shoulders.

"Have you come home, son?"

"It looks like Dad is daydreaming. Is there something that's bothering you in your mind?"

"During the past few days, I've had nightmares."

"Nightmare?"

"really. I feel pursued by guilt for my past actions."

Silvia took a squatting position right in front of her father.

"If I may know, what mistakes have you made in the past?"

Suddenly Anthony's memory returned ten years ago.

*Flashback on*

That afternoon Anthony was driving at a moderate speed. He came home early to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary.

It was then that his phone suddenly rang. The home phone number is on her phone screen. Only her housekeeper called her by her phone number.

[Hello, Mister]

[Yes. What's up, Bi?]

[Mrs ... Mistress]

[Why my wife?]

[Mrs Vivian fell down the stairs.]

[Gosh. How did he slip?]

[It looks like the mistress's leg was sprained due to the right of her shoe breaking.]

[Lantas, how is he doing now?]

[Mrs unconscious. I want to take her to the hospital but Miss Silvia has not come home yet.]

[Okay, I'll be home soon.]

Anthony intends to put his phone back in his suit pocket. However, the device actually missed until the end of the fall just below the steering wheel. With his left hand he tried to grab the phone while his right hand was still holding the wheel. Finally he got his phone back. That's when the unexpected happened. Suddenly a passerby passed right in front of him. He quickly stepped on the brakes of his car. But unfortunately, the distance between the body of the car and the pedestrian was too close.

"Bruck!" Collisions are inevitable. The pedestrian's body collapsed then fell on the paved road.

Panic and confusion also hit him. On the one hand he wanted to help the pedestrian, but on the other hand he also had to arrive home quickly to take his wife to the hospital.

Anthony got down from his car, he then circulated his gaze on the road that was quite quiet. No road user has passed.

Despite being filled with guilt, Anthony had no choice but to leave the place. However, one thing that so imprinted in his memory until now was a scream of a woman he had heard shortly after his car left the place.

"Amira". That name is what he called.

*flashback off*

"About ten years ago my father's car accidentally hit a pedestrian. Amira, that's the name I heard from a woman's scream."

"Well, how's the pedestrian doing?"

"Eitherway. I was forced to leave because I was worried about your mother. Although in the end your mother did not survive because the injuries she suffered were quite severe. Lately I've been having nightmares as if the passerby was chasing and holding me accountable."

"Dad don't think about it too much. Nightmares can be experienced by anyone" Silvia entertained.

"Dad wants to find out what happened to that pedestrian. If he's alive, I'll give him whatever he asks. And if he's gone, I'll fulfill whatever the family requests. Even if they're gonna sue Dad for the accident."

"That's it. I don't have to look for where the pedestrian is or where his family is. What if it turns out that the pedestrian is dead and his family is really suing Dad.

Do you want to go to jail? Being imprisoned is not good. You can't be free to do anything."

"Dad doesn't want a lifetime of guilt."

"But, Yeah, …"

"Let father alone." Anthony turned his wheelchair around and slightly moved away from his only daughter.

Silvia who had wanted to talk about her wedding plans with Fabian was not doing it. He chose to leave the small garden and enter the house.

"Auntie noticed lately Mr. Anthony is often aloof and moody. Are you facing a problem, Non?" said the house assistant.

"No, Bi. Dad's fine. I just miss my late mother."

"That's it, huh?"

"Auntie please make me a cup of warm chocolate and take me to my room."

"Good, Non."

Silvia passed from the aunt's presence, and she walked to her room.

"I won't let you bring that back. I don't want you in jail. He is the only one I have in this world" Silvia murmured.

Silvia picked up her phone and immediately contacted someone.

[Hello, Evan. We meet now.]

What plans will Silvia have? Keep reading for the continuation of it, brother.
