"Silvia!" shouted Mr. Anthony when he arrived in the living room of his house.
Silvia who was listening to music from her phone with a high volume of it certainly did not hear the father's cry. He only realized his presence after the man, who was more than half a century old, threw a piece of paper right in front of him.
"God. Daddy's? What's up, Dad?"
Finding her father's face so tense, Silvia rushed to turn off the music player on her phone.
"What is this?!" mr. Anthony pointed at the handwritten letter.
"Where did you get this letter?" tanyakanya.
"You don't need to know. I just want to hear an explanation for why you're doing this lie!"
"I-i, …"
"Java!"
"If you knew, I'd do all this for Dad. I don't want you to have anything bad especially if you go to jail."
"Jailed?"
"Yes. I'm afraid that the pedestrian you hit ten years ago is really dead. His family could sue Dad. I'm the only one I have in this world. I don't want to if Dad goes to jail. That's why Evan and I set up this play" Silvia said.
"Lantas, what do you think you've done that will solve the problem?!"
Silvia was speechless with a downcast face.
"You know, the two women you paid for today died."
"died? Where possible. A few hours ago Evan and I went to their house."
"I saw with my own eyes the two women had an accident on the highway. The girl who claimed to be Amira died first before the mother also died a few moments later," said the father.
"God! Ja-ja-di they died in an accident?"
"Yes, and it's all because of your fault."
"Ap-ap-what? Why am I being blamed?"
"They were riding a motorcycle you just bought, and I'm sure the money was your gift in return for helping you carry out this plan. If only you hadn't gotten them involved in this charade, they wouldn't have bought that motorcycle that would have eventually led them to death."
"Who are they. Why choose a highway to learn to ride a motorcycle?"
"All this wouldn't have happened if you didn't have those niggly thoughts."
"I'm not sneaky, Dad. I'm doing this for Dad."
"What you're doing is making my regrets grow even more" said Mr Anthony.
"I admit I was wrong, Dad. I'm sorry."
"Dad will forgive you as long as you find who and where the pedestrian is. Even if he's dead, meet the father with his family or relatives."
"Ba-ba-alright, Dad."
"You'll know the consequences if you dare to lie to me again!" threaten the father.
Silvia nodded her head.
"Gat!"
Evan who had just stood outside Silvia's room rushed to her.
"Yes, sir," he said with a bowed face. After what happened he did not have the courage to look at the face of the master.
"You helped Silvia do my job."
"Ba-ba-alright, sir."
"Now take me to my room."
Evan pushed the wheelchair out of the room.
"Basic sloppy! How did you find the agreement? Didn't I tell you to keep it all right?" silvia said shortly after Evan came out of Mr. Anthony's room.
"This is all beyond belief. I've kept the letter of agreement in my briefcase. I don't know how that deal got into Mr. Anthony's hands."
"But, Miss, …"
Silvia refused to respond to Evan's remarks. He left the room and walked to his car in the yard.
"I'm afraid something will happen if you drive in a state of chaotic mind" he murmured.
Fifteen minutes later Silvia arrived back at Fabian's office with hours of return. Of course Fabian was surprised to find his boss sitting relaxed on his motorcycle.
"Bu .. um. Silvia. You're here? Didn't you just come out with Evan?" tanyakanya.
"I'm disappointed in Evan. He was careless and unreliable!"
"Why can you say that? Isn't he your confidant and Mr Anthony?"
Silvia circulated her gaze. At the time of the office hours, of course, almost all employees come to the parking lot to take back their vehicle. Not a few of them looked at the two with astonished gazes because they were so familiar chatting. Silvia who felt uncomfortable was finally choosing to invite Fabian into his car.
"What about my motorcycle?"
"Tomorrow you can still go back to this office, right? I'll also take you to your house."
"Where are we going?"
"Examine something."
"What do you want to investigate?" Fabian frowned.
"So, ten years ago, I made a terrible mistake."
"What do you mean?"
"Ten years ago my father hit a pedestrian.
"Lantas, what's the fate of the pedestrian?"
"Dad doesn't know."
"Why doesn't Mr Anthony know?"
"I was in a hurry, too, because the housekeeper at our house called my father and told him that he slipped down the stairs. Dad was forced to leave the pedestrian because he thought that mother's safety was more important. After ten years passed, Lately the father often had nightmares as if the pedestrian asked him to be responsible," explained Silvia.
Fabian was silent for a moment, and he thought.
"Ten years ago Mr. Anthony hit someone. Why is it so similar to what my late sister went through? Don't-don't, .. No! It must be just a coincidence" he murmured.
"Dad told me to look for where the pedestrian is."
"Wantas? Have you found it?" ask Fabian.
Silvia shook her head.
"You think I'd let my father go to jail if it turned out that the pedestrian really died? Of course not!"
"What do you mean?"
"I love my dad so much. He is the only one I have in this world. For my father's sake and Evan's making a play."
"Theatricality?"
"Yes. I paid two women. One person acted as a victim of the collision while the other woman played her mother. I asked them to make a confession if the victim of the collision was okay. Hana is one reason. I don't want you in jail if it turns out the pedestrian died."
"Did your plan work?"
"Total scandal. All this because of that careless Evan. Somehow a piece of paper containing my agreement with the two women could fall into the hands of my father. I was scolded by him, too," Silvia said.
"Ehm .. can I know the name of the pedestrian Mr Anthony hit?" ask Fabian in full view.
