Great Quarrel

Kalingga is in the first car with Jojo and the girl starts to get scared if Merlinda knows what has happened. While in the back of Kalingga's car, Kylan came out and knocked on Kalingga's windshield, asking his brother to confront him together.

"Well, it's a surprise." Kylan greeted with a slight smile on his back, while Kalingga clasped Jojo's fingers beside him.

"Did Kai not let you in?" ask Kalingga.

"Mama just needs to talk to Jojo" said Merlinda to the point.

"We'll listen, too" said Kalingga. He knew there was something that made Merlinda come to this house.

From inside the house, Kai stood behind the door. He had been there long enough and let Merlinda stand outside their house without wanting to say hello. The boy just kept quiet and listened.

"It's just between Mama and Jojo. You can come in."

"No, we're with him." Kylan.

Jojo squeezes Kalingga's fingers in his grasp, the girl whispers a little and asks Kalingga to go inside the house to obey her mother's orders. But Kalingga ignored him, knowing Merlinda would do something.

While watching her children, Merlinda felt anxious. They all seem to care deeply and protect Jojo.

"Suppose this is your last day at work, Jojo. You're fired!" exciting Merlinda. He could not let a girl go banged up and became the cause of poisoning Keenan.

"Fired? Did I not hear wrong?" ask Kylan. Jojo pulled the man's arm while shaking his head faintly, Jojo gestured for Kylan not to behave badly.

"Sorry, Madam. I was wrong because of the teledor, but this is an unintentional mistake" said Jojo trembling, fear and anxiety spread throughout the body.

"He's working for us. Mama has no right to fire him" Kalingga said calmly.

"No! Mama brought him to this house, and Mama will take him out" said Merlinda.

"I don't care." Kalingga pulls Jojo's hand and pushes the door. He ignores Merlinda and brings Jojo in with Kylan.

But Merlinda did not give up until there, she followed her children into the house.

"Stop, Kalingga! Are you going to sacrifice your sister for a girl like Jojo?" merlinda.

"Just talk Mama!" exclaim Kalingga with a high tone. Everyone was shocked, and so was Merlinda. Kai who was originally hiding behind the door is now approaching Jojo.

"Jojo must leave this house and Mama will find a new maid for you" said Merlinda. His tone began to weaken.

"No, he'll stay with us." Kai started to make a sound, he stood in front of Merlinda.

"What'sthis? You're really going to fight your own parents for a maid?" ask Merlinda. He doesn't think out.

"Stop degrading Jojo, Ma. Is Mama not satisfied threatening him with vile some time ago? Didn't you ever think that Mama's words were so mean and hurtful?" ask Kylan.

Kai and Kalingga immediately looked at Kylan and stared curiously. They didn't understand what Kylan was talking about.

"What do you mean?" ask Kalingga.

"Some time ago Mama invited Jojo to meet at a cafe. And you know what? Mama threatened Jojo not to have any relationship with us, not even Keenan. Mama even blatantly asked Jojo out of this house if any one of us liked Jojo. It's all because Jojo is just a maid" Kylan explained.

Now Kai and Kalingga are beginning to understand why Jojo is so closed and as if away from everything related to feelings. It turns out that the source of all the trouble is their parents.

"How could Mama think so badly? Did you forget who took care of us when you didn't care?" ask Kai.

"Mama sent Jojo because Mama cared."

"Why didn't Mama come? Why send someone else. I think Mama has no right to rule us" said Kalingga. Next to his hand was clenching and holding back the furious turmoil in his chest.

"Mama is still your parents. And Mama just asked Jojo out of this house" Merlinda said. He knew there was something between Jojo and his children, and this was not a good thing.

"What do you expect by arranging who we will be in a relationship with? What do you care, Ma!"

"He's just a maid, Kalingga. Imagine if people out there knew that a big business owner had fallen in love with a maid. Or imagine if Keenan-class artists also fell in love with maids. He will only destroy your future!"

Jojo just kept quiet and cried. Again Merlinda offended her social status and her work. The words of the middle-aged woman were indeed true, yet extremely painful to hear.

I don't know what's funny, Kai laughed and shook his head slowly. Everyone was silent and astonished.

"Didn't Mama know? Jojo is a model. He's educated, talented, hardworking. She even has everything, what kind of standard daughter-in-law does Mama want? Jojo has it," said Kai. He smiled sinisterly looking at Merlinda.

"You all don't know? Jojo now works as a model under a well-known agency. Mom surprised?" Kai turned his gaze to Merlinda, making the middle-aged woman even more agitated.

"Mama looks down on a person based on his social status and job. But you should know, animals alone will not be willing to abandon their children!"

Merlinda slapped Kai hard, her chest rising and falling holding back the turbulent fury. How could his youngest child now equate himself with an animal?

Jojo quickly releases Kalingga's grasp and approaches Kai. He pulled the boy and grabbed him. Jojo increasingly powerless to hold back tears, now everyone is troubled just because of him. Even Merlinda hurt her own child.

"Enough! Please leave this house!" kalingga Sentak. He could not hold himself back any longer.

While Merlinda, the woman clasped the hand she used to slap Kai. He felt guilty because emotions were controlling him. Merlinda regretted instantly, she only reflexes because Kai's words hurt her so much.

Kalingga stared intently, he did not forgive anyone who hurt his brother, even if it was Merlinda. He sacrificed everything to take care of the people he loved, but Merlinda easily put her hands on his youngest sister's face.

"Didn't Mama hear? Out!" exclaim Kylan.

With tears in her eyes, Merlinda came out of her children's house. He cried and regretted not being able to control himself and hold back emotions.

"You all right? I'm sorry," Jojo murmured while rubbing Kai's cheek. The more guilt he felt.
