Bram's Decision

Kai nodded and listened well to everything Kalingga had to say. The boy was trying to understand Kalingga's worries. His relationship will always be threatened as long as they have not broken ties with the Bram family.

Arriving at Bram's house, the four of them greeted Olivia and her mother, Nesya. Kalingga and his three younger siblings greeted both of them and were welcome to enter.

They are taken into the dining room and greeted by Bram. The middle-aged man smiled warmly and hugged Kalingga and the others.

"How are you guys?" bram asked, asking everyone to take their seats. Quickly, Olivia positioned herself beside Kalingga and sat right beside the man.

"We're healthy. What about you, sir?" ask Kalingga politely.

"Yes, this is how it is, keep working hard in old age because Olivia is reluctant to run the company. Ah, if anyone can replace us," complained Bram with a look of hope.

Kalingga just nodded, he perfectly understood the direction of their conversation.

Not long after, some servants came to bring a lot of dinner menu. They are entertained with a variety of luxurious foods and a comfortable sense of family.

Even so, Kalingga and his three brothers felt awkward. The food that looked so delicious was tasteless, they were not appetizing to eat, even Kai who always ate large portions only took as necessary.

"Ah, we're glad you guys can come up with a complete formation. By the way, is Kai going to graduate High School this year?" ask Nesya.

"Yes, I graduated this year" Kai replied.

"Well, are you going to college?"

"On the encouragement of my sister-in-law, I was ready to continue my education to college. After all, it's for my future to be successful like my three brothers" Kai explained with pride.

"Sister-in-law's candidate?" Nesya asked with a curious face. He had never heard any rumors about the four brothers in front of him.

"We'll talk about it later," sidelines Bram firmly. He did not want to make their dinner disturbed.

Everyone went back to silence and focused on what was on their own plates, while Olivia, she began to steal a glance and put one of her hands on Kalingga's thigh.

Kalingga took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He tries to control himself so as not to get carried away by emotions. Several times Kalingga brushed Olivia's hand under the table, the woman tried to keep grabbing her.

Feeling that her patience was thinning, Kalingga grabbed Olivia's arm and brought their heads closer together.

"Don't cross the line. You know I'm not interested" whispered Kalingga with great emphasis. A rough snort came out of Olivia's mouth, making everyone look at them and think nothing of it.

After the dinner was over, Bram asked them all to gather in the living room. The middle-aged man wanted to straighten out everything he should have explained in the first place to Kalingga, as well as his goal of inviting them all to come to this house.

"We heard that your career is getting better, Keenan. We're happy and proud that you've succeeded your way" Bram said as they sat on a long sofa around a glass table.

"thank you. This is thanks to the support of my three brothers" Keenan replied.

"And you, Kylan. Your name has been heard as far abroad as a good photographer."

"Thank you, Mister. That's the point of working hard" Kylan replied politely without curating arrogance.

Kai smiled slightly at what Kylan had just said. How could her brother be this calm when the atmosphere of the room was as hot as sitting inside a circle of fire.

"Have you decided which way your relationship is going?" bram asked Kalingga and Olivia.

"No, Mister. We are just friends, and we will forever remain so. Nothing is going on between us" Kalingga said.

"So long she's been ignoring me, Pa!" olivia's Exclamation. He was already impatient to let out all his annoyance and disappointment towards Kalingga. Bram raised his hand, asking his only daughter to be quiet.

"Didn't you promise us something, Kalingga?" ask Nesya.

"I promised to look after Olivia, take her as a family. But she can take care of herself, and I'd rather take her as a sister."

"You're outrageous!" olivia muttered.

"Is the sister-in-law candidate that Kai meant to be the woman who captured your heart?" Bram asked again.

"true."

"Do we know him?"

"You don't know him, but you may have heard his name" Keenan said.

"Huh, she's a maid in their house, Pa." Olivia gave an answer.

"Before, but now she's our sister-in-law's candidate and a famous model. Her name is Jovanka, she was also a model of Carnation some time ago," explained Kai with a winning smile. He will not let anyone humble his family.

Bram looked at Olivia and Kalingga in turn. He understood that if his daughter wanted Kalingga the most, but no matter how they tried, forcing the feelings of others could never end well.

"We've heard it. All right, no problem" said Bram after a few minutes of silence and drowning with his own thoughts.

"Pa!" exclaim Olivia upset. How could his papa just let go of Kalingga.

Bram only glanced at Olivia while shaking faintly. Asking his son not to force his will.

"I know you're disappointed, but I thank you for all your understanding." Kalingga nodded politely and greeted Bram.

The middle-aged man with a slightly overgrown body and completely gray hair was smiling lightly at Kalingga. Long before today, he considered this young man in front of him like his own son.

Olivia looked very angry, her face flushed red with both hands clenched tightly. He was very disappointed with Kalingga, but more disappointed with the decision taken by his father.

"Thank you for inviting us. Sorry if we let you down" Keenan said before leaving.

They finally took their leave, leaving behind a magnificent house with huge towering pillars. Kalingga felt relieved, in the end it all ended well.

"Pa, why make a decision without asking me how I feel?" ask Olivia to Bram.

"How can you live together if Kalingga doesn't even put his heart on you at all?" ask Bram. He knew his daughter was so upset, but as a wise parent, he couldn't do more than this. For him, the decision remained in Kalingga's hands.

"Papa just needs to force her to marry me. After that, I'll make her love me" whined Olivia. He cried and begged Nesya.

"It's not that easy, Olivia. There was another woman in his heart. Stop imposing your will!"

"I'll do it my own way!" olivia exclaimed as she walked out of the house.
