The Living House

Jojo did not want to ban, nor did he want to try to seize the photo that was almost burned out at the hands of Kalingga.

The woman tried to understand Kalingga's feelings well, although she basically disagreed with her husband's rash attitude.

Judging from Jojo's brief observation, it seems only Kalingga knows about Maria, the woman who is thought to be the biological mother of four brothers.

Kalingga looked at the photo that was starting to burn out in his hand, the fire almost hit Kalingga's hand if Jojo did not butu-rush to reject the man's hand.

"Darling, let's take a break."

Jojo grabbed the man by the hand and took him out of the room. No one knew what Kalingga was thinking. Men show a real attitude if they cannot accept the reality of who their real mother is.

In the room, Jojo leads Kalingga to sit on the sofa. The woman helped Kalingga take off his suit and unbutton his shirt.

"Rest. I'll make a drink" said Jojo softly. Before the woman left, she took the time to hug Kalingga for a while.

All this time, life is difficult, all the shortcomings, and all the other bitterness of life Jojo had ever felt. He could bear all the burdens thanks to the support and affection of his parents. But at the moment, Jojo can't even imagine how sick it is to live a life like Kalingga and his three younger siblings.

The reality of their lives and the loss of the last person they so desperately hoped for was a bitter pill that had to be swallowed and was inevitable. This seemed to destroy their lives into sharp pieces that always cut the feeling.

Even without the slightest break, Jojo made a warm drink for the four men. The woman knocks on the third room of her brother-in-law, but they are compact not to give an answer, forcing Jojo to enter without permission and put a drink on their respective desks.

"Drink this, Kai. We can all get through this, you have to be sincere" said Jojo as he rubbed the blanket covering Kai's body. Although the boy's voice is not heard, Jojo can tell if Kai is not really sleeping.

As Jojo walks away from his bed, Kai wakes up quickly, making Jojo reflexively turn his head.

"It hurts so bad" Kai murmured. That tangled and messy face Jojo had never seen all this time.

Jojo returns to Kai, the woman hugs him and calms him down.

"Sometimes, life is not what we want it to be. There are times when we want time to stop spinning, but in fact life will continue. We can't control a person's life and death, but we can control our feelings to learn how to value life" Jojo said.

"What should I do?" ask Kai.

"Continue living, reach for your goals. Being a child to be proud of, you have to prove to the world that you can."

Kai was silent for a moment, he then looked at his brother-in-law and gave a small smile.

"Thank you, Sister-in-law. I can definitely get through it all" said Kai. Jojo smiled and clasped the boy's hand.

It is not easy for a person to be sincere in terms of loss. Most of them have experienced sadness for years. But Jojo won't let that happen. Sadness is allowed, but life must go on and everyone must regain all their dreams.

At seven o'clock in the evening, all the food was on the table. Jojo comes to Kai's room, Kykan and Keenan to ask them to immediately go down and meaning together.

Kalingga turned around and hugged Jojo. The man kissed his wife's forehead many times.

"Only you and those who are most precious in my life. Please, never leave me" Kalingga said in a whisper. That sentence sounded like a very deep and stifling expression.

"I'm here, honey. I'll be by your side anytime. We can get through this, don't worry." Jojo hugged Kalingga tightly.

After a few minutes, all the residents of the house had gathered at the dining table. Not the slightest sound was heard from their mouths, making the dinner atmosphere become quiet and cold.

"I'm sorry, I should have told you all that sooner" Jojo said. He felt guilty for keeping that secret from them.

"You're innocent, Jo. It was all Mama's wish. Thank you for keeping your promise" replied Kalingga.

Kylan looked at the woman he had lived with for a long time, the man smiled faintly and nodded. He didn't have any problems with Jojo. There's nothing to blame. This was all already their fate line.

Since the day Merlinda died, their house seemed lifeless. No more jokes and jokes from Kai and Kylan. There is no joint pizza-eating party as Keenan often plans. Like Kalingga, they were so beaten and blamed each other.

The days pass so quickly. Now Kalingga, Keenan and Kylan are beginning to return to their routine for work. Vacationing for almost a week makes their work schedule even more piled up.

And Jojo is the first person who has to face them all every day. This makes the woman feel sad because the situation does not improve.

In a cafe, Jojo sits together with Angelina. Jojo needs a friend to discuss, he does not want to let the four men in his house seem to be the undead without spirit.

"None of them talk to each other?" ask Angelina. Jojo shook his head while stirring the drink in front of him.

"They blame themselves" Angelina murmured.

"It takes more time to get things right" Jojo said.

The two of them began to shut up and think. They could not force the four men to forget all the pain of losing Merlinda. Their only hope is their closest friends.

Jojo and Angelina hope that if the return of their activities and work initially makes them able to momentarily forget the sadness and start moving on.

Angelina realized, Jojo must have difficulty if taking care of four men at once in this state.

"Are you home early today?" ask Angelina.

"Yes, Brother. I left Kai at home alone. I had a one-hour filming appointment, after which I went straight home" Jojo explained.

Angelina nodded, she planned to come visit their house and try to entertain. Linger sad is not a good thing, because there is still a lot of love that can be accepted to revive the spirit of living life.
