Family Is Everything

For a moment, Kalingga fell silent. Why had he not been able to understand for so long that the person before him had another purpose?

"I'm sorry, my brother's feelings aren't business, sir. And love cannot be negotiated" Kalingga said. He would never sacrifice his brother's feelings.

"Don't make a decision before asking Keenan. Tell him this, we'll meet again Monday." Aslan passed away and left Kalingga who was still sitting in his place.

Kalingga massaged his head that felt heavy and painful, he rushed away from the cafe and went home.

Arriving at home, Kalingga saw his wife falling asleep in the living room chair, while in another chair, Keenan was also unconscious.

There are things that always make him happy even though problems and various uproar occur outside the house, namely the presence of Jojo.

The man washed his hands and feet and carried Jojo to their room. Kalingga thought that the woman was waiting for him to accidentally fall asleep.

Early in the morning, Jojo woke up. He felt confused when he found himself in the room and Kalingga was beside him.

At the sight of the clock on the wall, he rushed down from the bed, but Kalingga stopped him by clutching the woman's body.

"It's still morning, dear," said Kalingga in a hoarse and heavy voice.

"I have to prepare our breakfast, honey."

"Didn't Auntie come?"

"No, Mr. Teguh needs a break. I gave them a few days off."

"Five more minutes, stay like this" Kalingga said, flipping Jojo's body to face each other. Kalingga slumped and brought his face closer in front of his wife's distended stomach.

"How are you doing in there, Baby? You okay?" tanya Kalingga spoke with her baby who was still in Jojo's stomach.

Hearing the sound and warm touch of Kalingga's hand, the baby in the womb seemed to understand. The subtle movements and kicks he did to signal Kalingga if he was okay.

"Ah, I love you. Stay healthy and be born safe" whispered Kalingga. He smiled and kissed his wife repeatedly.

After a few minutes, Jojo lets Kalingga fall back asleep. He had to prepare breakfast for the whole house this morning.

Since the housekeeper, Jojo rarely cooks. Kalingga always forbade him from doing any work, but since Jojo felt fine, he did not mind cooking as long as Bu Yura did not work.

When Jojo opens the freezer, he finds brownies. The woman remembered that Keenan went to buy it last night. Without waiting for long, he cooked while devouring almost half of its contents.

"Hey, why are you eating brownies so early? Is that okay?" asked Keenan who was suddenly behind him. The man was about to run off early in the morning in the front yard and accidentally saw Jojo in the kitchen.

At exactly six o'clock, the breakfast menu was on the table. Jojo immediately went upstairs and knocked on Kylan and Kai's room door to tell them to come down immediately. When he reached his own room, he saw Kalingga was already sitting on the sofa staring at his laptop screen.

"Honey, let's have breakfast" Jojo asked. He sat down beside Kalingga and leaned on the man's shoulder.

"I'll be down in five minutes. Don't go up and down stairs too often, I'm afraid it's dangerous for your womb, honey," Kalingga said. He framed Jojo's face and kissed her lips at a glance.

"I'm fine." Jojo smile. He kissed Kalingga's lips. But when he was about to break away, Kalingga again flanked his body and continued to sip his lips gently.

They enjoy the day together with warm hugs and kisses every morning. Make the mood of both are always happy to finish the busyness every day.

"Darling, are you okay?" ask Jojo. Although Kalingga did not say anything, Jojo had a premonition because her husband seemed agitated. His face was not as happy as usual on Sunday.

When Jojo asked that question, suddenly a long sigh was heard from Kalingga's mouth. There was something he was hiding, which made him restless and burdened.

Slowly, Jojo persuades Kalingga to tell a story. Any problem will be quickly resolved if discussed together.

"Mr Aslan asked me to persuade Keenan to have a relationship with April. I don't seem to realize that all this time he's been helping me for Keenan's sake" explained Kalingga. Hearing that, Jojo took a deep breath while smiling. She rubbed her husband's back.

"Family is the most important thing. We can seek wealth and success from other avenues, don't sacrifice his feelings" Jojo said.

Jojo continues to convince Kalingga that everything will be fine even though his company stops exporting goods abroad. Jojo promises to help him, they must not be weak just because Aslan will not be on their side.

After a short chat, Kalingga felt relieved. He did not need to talk about this to Keenan or ask his opinion, because everyone knew how Keenan felt for Angelina.

At the dinner table, Keenan, Kylan and Kai were already waiting. They enjoy pancakes, toast, and sandwiches for breakfast.

"You're all on vacation?" ask Jojo.

"Hmm, I'm going to spend my day at home all day" Kylan replied.

"I also want to relax. Being a freshman turns out to be very tiring," Kai lamented.

"Cool, later we'll make roast meat in the backyard!" exclaim Jojo happy.

"Angelina will come later, we will eat together." Keenan looks very happy.

That made Jojo and Kalingga look at each other, wouldn't it be obvious if there was nothing they needed to ask the man? Letting Keenan be happy is important, it means Kalingga must give up his company to stop working with April's parents.
