Feel Guilty

It's going to be a very tiring day for Jojo. While on campus, he continued to observe Leon closely. Make sure the man doesn't open his mouth to anyone about Keenan.

"I'm sad, what if Kalingga's brother punishes me by cutting fifty percent of my salary?" ask Jojo. "Ah, the burden of my mind is very heavy," he continued.

"I've just been able to enjoy my abundant pocket money. What if you cut him off again?" ask Kai.

Both of them sat down weakly. Kaivan's appetite and life taste decreased drastically.

"It turns out that Mr. Keenan came into my room and saw the invitation paper I put on the table. Sorry, I forgot to hide it" said Jojo. If he hadn't been careless, maybe his plan with Kai wouldn't have fallen apart like this.

"Ah, it's okay. It's also my fault for not being honest with them from the beginning" said Kai. He could not blame Jojo, because he himself dragged his nanny to interfere in his problems.

Jojo got up, took a glass of milk and cereal that he had prepared for Kai. He put it in front of the boy.

"I don't have an appetite" said Kai. He put his head back on the table and looked blankly at the stairs.

"alright. I'll eat it myself." Jojo pulled back the bowl of cereal, he finished it in an instant. After that, Jojo also immediately gulped down the milk in a glass beside Kai.

The boy looked at Jojo with a strange feeling. How can in such a thrilling situation even Jojo not lose his appetite.

"Hey, seriously? You said you were sad and had a lot of thoughts. But can eat casually like that," said Kai.

"Why indeed? One way I can think and survive is by eating. Too bad that cereal you refuse, but it's delicious," said Jojo.

"As far as you go!" exclaim Kai. He got up from his chair and walked away from Jojo.

"Hey, you should mop the floor as agreed. Don't deny! Kai!" shout Jojo.

"Tomorrow. Please not today" Kai said as he walked away.

Today was a hard day for both of them. Jojo can tolerate Kai's refusal. He also did not force the boy to do homework. In the end, Jojo decides to go into the room. He opened the phone, saw a message from Keenan.

I came home at dinner. Make fried rice as I ask for your apology.

"Easy terms," inward Jojo. He went out and looked at the refrigerator to make sure all the materials he needed were still available.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, in fact all the foster children had gathered at home, even Keenan. Kai and Jojo suddenly broke out in cold sweat. Not usually the three men were in this house.

"You all came home early, yes," Jojo said as he met Kylan in his room.

Jojo just nodded. He went back to the kitchen to cut vegetables and sausages. He prepared the ingredients to make fried rice, because tonight all will have dinner with the same menu.

Throughout the cooking, he seemed to be haunted by guilt towards all of his foster children, especially Kai. He should have helped, but he messed up their plans.

At seven o'clock in the night, all the foster kids were gathered at the dinner table. Jojo prepares the fried rice in a large porcelain bowl and lets his foster children take it to their taste. He separated the eggs of beef eyes and sausages that had been fried into a glass container each.

Everyone enjoys a dinner that Jojo rarely cooks. It does not disappoint, everyone likes and almost adds to the contents of their plate.

But there is one person who is not very appetizing to eat. It was Kai. He filled only half his plate and took three small pieces of sausage. Jojo keeps watching Kai, he also starts to get restless when everyone has finished their dinner.

After cleaning the dishes and leftovers to the sink, Jojo postponed the job of washing it. He sat back in the chair. Now Jojo and Kaivan feel like they are inmates who are serving a trial in front of three judges at once.

Everyone was silent, Kalingga looked at Jojo and Kai alternately.

"Jojo, Kai. You know what your mistake was?"

"Know, brother," replied Kai. Jojo just nods weakly while looking down, afraid that Kalingga's eyes will skin his body.

Before sentencing, Kalingga asked Kai to explain the chronology of the fight he had. Everyone listened carefully. Keenan smiled faintly, he rubbed the back of his sister who started to sweat.

"Who had the idea to take Jojo and claim to be your sister-in-law at school?" ask Kylan. When Jojo wanted to answer, Kai spoke quickly.

"The idea was thought of by me" replied Kai. He seems to protect Jojo, but obviously Jojo himself who gave the idea that Kai was looking for someone to pretend as his brother.

"And Jojo, why would you want to get into Kaivan's crazy plan?" ask Keenan. Jojo was silent, he was still down and mute.

Everyone in this house knows how Jojo and Kai's relationship started. From the beginning, Kai always got Jojo in trouble. But strangely, Jojo still wants to help Kai to act so far.
