CHAPTER 17 ~ Not Who Who Is ~
Ever since Reana was discharged from the hospital, Nico tried to hold on not to see her, but her longing could not be held back. Nico is determined to meet Reana at the restaurant, but finds the restaurant has closed, visible from the sign that reads 'close'.
What happened, now it is still not too late, what happened to Reana, whispered Nico's heart began to panic.
Not caring about the closing marks, Nico went inside, found the restaurant empty. Nico walks deeper, his eyes fixed on a table, where a young executive sits opposite Reana. Nico staggered back.
A sight he did not expect. Reana had dinner with a young executive. His chest tightened, suddenly oxygen was lost from the air. Nico stepped out of the restaurant, where Nico took a deep breath.
Not strong standing up straight Nico leaned behind a tree not far from the restaurant. His face grimaced with the pain in his chest, only this time did he feel such a thing.
Who is he, what does that have to do with Reana ? is he the man Reana has in her heart ? nico's heart screams.
Shortly thereafter, footsteps and conversations were heard about some of the people who came out of the restaurant. It looks like Reana and Mr. Gunawan are escorting restaurant guests.
Judging from the way Mr. Gunawan is so respectful, it can be ascertained that the customer this time is someone who is very special. Reana stood down beside Gunawan.
Three men who look like bodyguards are moving away from the terrace of the restaurant, and a young man who is clearly like a young executive is waiting, accompanied by Gunawan and Reana who are standing behind him.
Two luxury cars arrived in front of the terrace, a bodyguard came down to open the door for him.
The young executive turned back, approached Reana, held the girl's hand, and brought her face closer. Nico sees the man kissing Reana.
Nico could no longer look at the scene, he turned around trying to stand up straight but his legs were unable, until he finally leaned on the sidewalk tree.
Is that the man who rejected me?
Because that guy he kicked me out?
Why.., why didn't you say anything?
Why didn't you tell me there was someone in your heart?
Wh why?
Wh why?
Nico's screams, so many unanswered questions.
I don't know how long Nico's been leaning behind that tree. His breath felt tight, the man did not know why his chest could hurt that much.
Why didn't Reana say anything ?
Is Reana deliberately playing with my feelings ?
Does he want to repay me for assuming I have abused him ?
Nico pressed against his aching chest.
Why does it feel so painful ?
Why do I feel unwilling ?
Reana has nothing to do with me ?
Nico wondered inwardly, hesitantly choosing whether to back down or continue his efforts toward Reana. The man stood so low that he did not notice the presence of Reana, who was about to walk home.
Reana was shocked when she saw someone standing behind a tree. And after he noticed, it turned out that the person was Nico, who was leaning against a tree with a pale-looking face.
"Sir Nico why ? reana asked astonished to see the attitude of Nico who was just silently staring.
There's no answer, Nico flinching.
"Sister, is sister sick ? ask Reana again.
But there is still no answer, Nico's soul is like not in his body. Reana touched the man's arm and shook it. Nico was shocked to look at Reana. But his view looks empty.
"So why ? is brother sick ?" Reana repeated the question
The girl looked at Nico's pale-looking face. Nico shook his head slowly and then stepped towards his motorbike parked not far from there. Just leaving Reana.
"Thank you for helping me and keeping me in the hospital" Reana screamed in response from Nico.
Nico's steps stopped for a moment, then continued walking toward his motorbike. Reana looked at Nico, the man didn't care.
Reana decided to continue her path towards the stop but a few steps later her steps stopped, Reana was not feeling well, the man did not answer her words in the least. And his behavior looks weird.
Reana didn't want anything to happen to that guy. Maybe he could ride a motorcycle in that condition. Reana imagined something bad would happen if Nico drove his bike with such a dazed mind.
Reana turned her body and stepped quickly towards Nico. Nico, who was ready to leave the place, stopped, Reana stopped him.
Staring into Nico's eyes who did not want to look at him. The guy just looked down. Reana directs her face right in front of Nico's face, but the man turns his face.
"Why is my brother here?" ask Reana.
Reana's spoken sister's call usually makes Nico's heart blossom. But not this time, even Nico didn't want to hear it.
Nico didn't answer, like he didn't want to answer. The look on his face was sad, gloomy, like he was losing his spirit. His breathing went up and down like holding back feelings.
"Why is my sister here ?" reana asked the same question.
Nico is still silent, Reana starts to panic, seeing Nico's attitude that is like experiencing events that make his soul shocked.
The girl even stomped her feet in annoyance at not getting an answer from Nico. The girl even shook the man's hand.
Shortly after, Nico regained consciousness, then took off his helmet. Standing face to face with Reana, yet still dodging the gaze of the girl.
His reddened eyes looking down still avoiding Reana's eyes. All the questions that had crossed his head could not be spoken, he could not express, Nico just silent.
Reana herself was also confused as to what to say. Where to start, until he remembers one thing.
"I'm sorry, for what I said back then" Reana said hesitantly.
Nico raised his face. Nico is confused to forgive Reana for what she said.
"At that time, I just wanted Nico's brother to come home and rest. I don't mean to expel, always seeing you as if it doesn't have any effect on my pain" Reana said, trying to make her point at the time.
Nico began to understand Reana's intentions. Suddenly, Nico remembered something he wanted to ask.
"It's not because of that guy?" nico asked quietly, his voice sounding hoarse.
Reana was confused, what did this man question before her mean.
Men ? which men ? who ? thought Reana in the heart.
"The young executive, he seems to like you"
Finally Nico expressed his curiosity, there was a smell of jealousy. Nico took a heavy breath after saying that, the man seemed to be unprepared to hear Reana's reply.
"I'm sorry, I don't know if you already have one..."
The man continued but disconnected he did not want to say the words 'girlfriend' at all'. The words just sank, he felt unable if it turned out Reana finally accepted his guess.
But Nico believes Reana knows what he means and the man wants to get out of there. He wants to try to get his heart set. He wants to try to accept the fact that Reana can't possibly have him.
"No.., he has nothing to do with me, he's just a customer" Reana said after she realized the direction of the man's conversation.
Nico breathed a loud breath.
"Would a customer kiss a waiter like that" Nico replied in disbelief.
Nico laughed obliquely, not believing Reana's answer. She thinks Reana's answer doesn't match what she sees. Nico's expression was no longer gloomy but turned furious.
The man thinks Reana is simply not willing to admit her relationship while their attitude looks like a couple or at least has a special relationship.
"If it has nothing to do with you, why is he holding your hand and kissing you ? even dare to do it in front of your boss ?" nico asked repeatedly, indicating that Nico's soul had returned completely to his body.
"What ?" ask Reana wonder.
Reana turned towards the restaurant, Reana realized from here, Nico could see the incident earlier. As Mr. Malvin held his hand and moved closer to him.
"He didn't kiss me, but just whispered something" Reana yelled annoyed.
Upset at being accused like that, like a girl with no morals doing such a thing in front of her own boss. But the girl was finally stunned at the thought of the words that master Malvin whispered.
Please don't ask, what the man whispered, whispered Reana.
"really?" nico said he couldn't believe it.
"I don't like people who don't believe what I say, after all, what it's my duty to explain to you" Reana said.
Now that Reana was not just upset but was getting close to anger, the man repeatedly doubted his words. Reana left feeling annoyed.
Nico pulls Reana's hand, stopping the girl's steps.
"I'm sorry, not that I don't believe you but, what I saw just now really surprised me, I don't want to believe my vision either, I.." Nico's words were cut off.
.... jealous to see a man near you, continued Nico in his heart while bowed shyly to look at Reana.
Reana waited for the continuation of Nico's words, but Nico just kept silent.
"So she has nothing to do with you?" reworked Nico to convince her heart.
Reana nodded for sure.
"He's a nobody" the girl replied confidently.
The girl didn't want Nico to misunderstand, didn't want anyone to misunderstand her. Acknowledging to have a relationship with someone as great as Mr. Malvin, would only make people laugh at him.
Nico immediately pulled the girl into his arms, Reana was shocked. A tear came out of the corner of the man's eye, Nico laughed happily, his face returning cheerfully.
Almost, I almost lost you because of my own thinking, whispered Nico.
"May I take you home?" nico asked hesitantly, still hugging Reana.
"Mmm, but not while daydreaming" said Reana while nodding.
Nico smiled, tightening his embrace. It felt unsatisfied hugging the girl who almost made him give up and despair.
