We walked to a place that of course everyone also knows how enchanting this one place is. Because it was not too far from the cafe, so we decided not to take public transportation. After all, walking like this can make the body feel much warmer. We also spent more time looking at the sights along the way.
I close the scarf I was wearing at the time. I don't want any cold air coming in. Today's temperature is up two degrees from yesterday. That means today it's two degrees warmer than before. The streets around us were still covered with snow. In whatever direction the eyes look, what looks like is white. The whole city is covered with snow. But it is precisely at a time like this that the scenery offered is much nicer.
It didn't feel at all when we spent time together walking towards this place. Suddenly, the river was right in front of us. Not magic or magic, but it felt like everything happened in the blink of an eye. Like when we travel to another place with the power of teleportation.
“This is the river Han.” I said while pointing towards the river.
“This river is formed as a result of the meeting of the Namhan River or commonly called the South Han River which is water-eyed at Mount Daedeok, and the Bukhan River or commonly called the North Han River, which comes from the valley of Mount Geumgang in North Korea.” explained me with length and width.
“It turns out you know a lot yes.” reply while smiling thinly.
“Kan I am quite often play here.” I said.
“Whose name?” ask Arka suddenly.
“Sama Amel, one hostel I.” I replied.
“Indonesians too?” ask the man again.
I just nodded my head, to say what he said just now.
“Here many yes Indonesian?” ask the pariah for the umpteenth time.
“Not many anyway, just yes there aja.” I replied with what is.
“It turns out you want to go anywhere, play it tetep same Indonesian yes.” he said.
“Only those I had from the beginning I came to this place.” I said in a flat tone.
“But now you also have me here.” reply.
I nodded my head for the umpteenth time. I forgot how many times I did that today.
“That's the name of the bridge Hangang.” I said while referring to the bridge.
“Han is the name of this river, while Gang means river in Korean. So in no way langusng, the name of the bridge is yes Han.” river bridge obviously I with so enthusiasm.
“Lo knows a lot about this place. It is suitable to be a tourism guide.” he said while laughing slowly.
“Instead according to lo?” my reply that I did not realize turned out to be laughing as well.
I put both my hands into the winter jacket I was wearing right now. It feels like my hand is almost frozen if it continues to be left out there.
“Should have come here in the evening.”.
“Why?” ask the man so innocently.
“Soyal view here would be better if it was night.” explained me.
“Indeed, if the night will look much more special then?” ask Arka again.
“The bridge will be decorated with the same lights that light up all night until morning.” I said to the man.
“Yes if so we wait here until night. What about lo?” his proposal suddenly.
My two eyeballs then rounded perfectly when the sentence was thrown from his mouth just like that. I don't understand what he's thinking right now. Also with a way of thinking that I could never guess. I asked in my heart at this moment, was he conscious when he said that kalima? Can he hear his own words? Ah, I don't think so. Where he may be aware, what else is listening to his own words. The cold air here really affected his mindset. The cold temperature made his brain freeze and that was why he was currently unable to think clearly as he normally would.
“Don't make it!” I said in a high tone, hoping that he would come to his senses soon.
“Gue serialusan.” reply briefly.
“We can stay here until night if you want. And we will see the scenery here.” he said clearly.
“If I don't want how?” my many.
“Ya you have to keep going!” emphatically.
“Lo should be the same responsibility as your own greeting.” he continued.
“Ha? Meanin? Did I say what?” my reply was further confused by this man.
“Gue must prove your remarks with my own eyes.” he replied.
“Gue must see for itself if this place is really as good as it is.” he continued.
“So much lo aja deh.” hand me over.
“Ya is up to me.” reply with a ketus tone.
“Again just this as an apology lo because today we can not go to the temple.” he explained at length.
“Iya, okay-oke.” reply me while grunting.
I thought this guy wouldn't remember this at all. I think Arka will forgive him and understand all the events that happened today. It's all because of him anyway. Why is he blaming me now. Just try if he doesn't let me hear that song that almost brought my life to that other world, I definitely won't end this way.
“Starting this second you have to come wherever I go. Lo will not go anywhere without me in one day.” he explained.
I didn't even comment on her words just now because I was too upset. And I think he knows that I don't agree with his decision. But I also know that today he did it because he wanted to make me pout all day. What a man with no sense of humanity at all. I was completely inexhaustible with his attitude today.
A second later he pulled my hand suddenly. I was surprised not to play when he did that to me. Now I'm right behind him, so please never turn around. I will remain in this position, as long as the hand is still holding me. I walked with a step that was almost like being dragged. Our steps have never been aligned. Arka always goes faster and I always lag behind her.
Today it was like taking me back to that day. The day that happened a year ago. Now he turned back that time right in front of me. Makes us feel the same at the same time.
Now we just walk straight without direction. I don't know, keep going without knowing where it's going and where we're going to end this journey. I don't even know where I'll stand when this step stops. He keeps taking me wherever he wants. Strangely enough, I never complained about it.
We continued walking down the streets along the Han River. Seeing the scenery and atmosphere that kept changing at every step. The situation is always different when I start a new step. The place I was going when I left, it wasn't necessarily the same when I came back. So I'm going to enjoy it now. No matter what my mood is right now. All I wanted was to forget everything for a moment. I want to keep going like this on this street. Walking without any burden at all. No need to be afraid of what will happen tomorrow. Without worrying about anything.
If I can hope for this moment, then I just want time to keep turning on this one axis. I just want this journey to continue and be unstoppable. I hope we don't meet our final destination on this trip. Everything was like a childhood dream that happened again. I don't know how else to react this time.
“So, where are we going?” I asked spontaneously.
“We are not going anywhere” replied so casually.
“We will stay here and will always be so until night comes.”.
“And that means goodbye, right? Our move will end at the appointed time. Then we will return to our respective streets.”, I said without planning.
Arka seemed to take a deep breath. It seemed like the sentence just now had struck his chest all of a sudden and it made him feel claustrophobic. But that's the truth, it's hard to prevent. In the end, all humans will return alone. Hugging himself in the dark and crying over all the bad memories, without caring about any good things that have happened before. But to be flanked again, it is indeed a cycle.
“What if we find food like street food?” said Arka who tried to clear the topic of conversation.
“Not that we just finished eating?” my reply.
“Ya what's wrong if we find a snack like that.” replied the man innocently.
I nodded at her words just now.
“In the area there are many street food.” I said while pointing towards an alley.
On the other hand, the man was seen following the direction where my thumb was moving. A second later, he agreed. Without lingering any longer, we immediately headed to where I meant earlier.
Taka da who ever thought if in the alley that is not so wide there is an extraordinary view. Along the way there are so many indigenous people who peddle food typical of their country. The smell seemed to have reached my sense of smell first. It was because the delicious aroma of each of those foods had filled this place, even before the owners had come. They're trapped and can't get out of this little alley. At first glance, this narrow street is like a food festival.
When I set foot there, I felt like I was in a different world. They're like taking me to another place I've never been before. Neither I nor Arka, we are both so amazed by what we just saw today.
“So we want to buy what?” I asked with a face still dumbfounded.
“Don't lo, I just don't know what to do now.” reply while smiling obliquely.
Now change me who pulled the man's hand to come with me. Now it's his turn that goes behind me and keeps following my steps. I invited him in and broke through the crowd so excitedly. I couldn't stop smiling when I saw everything around me. Then we stopped in the middle of the crowd, looking around us. I spread my eyes all over. Hope to find something meaningful here.
I really am like a happy little boy. I'm like a pirate who's so ambitious as to find where the treasure is. I don't understand my own feelings right now. It goes up and down so fast and sharp. Like a roller coaster speeding through dozens of climbs and derivatives.
“I’m in race.” my inner in heart.
That smile has not faded from my face since a few minutes ago. I barely even realized that both corners of my lips had been raised since. Likewise with this man who I have unconsciously held since. I don't understand what's going on. It seems like the universe is playing out its tactics to play me today. But no matter how the universe tries to take me down, I'm gonna stay up here. Because I enjoyed everything he did today. I don't care if it's a good thing or vice versa.
“We're going there!” take me with such enthusiasm.
Arka also seemed to have no objection to my request just now. His feelings right now are not much different from mine. I know that clearly, because he can't lie to himself if he's having fun right now.
We approached a bungoppang seller who was escorted by the smoke of the seller tteokbokki and oddaeng. The fish-shaped bread seller looks quite old. If I may guess, I can tell if this man is in the range of forty to fifty years.
“Can you give me one bungoppang red bean filling?” I said to the man in Korean.
“Ya, alright.” reply then immediately make my order.
“Lo want what taste?” I asked Arka.
“Brown aja deh.” reply briefly.
I then nodded my head.
“Please give me another chocolate-flavored bungoppang.” my door to the fish-shaped bread seller.
The food is very famous in South Korea. You must put it in your culinary list that must be tried when visiting here. In addition to its delicious and varied taste, this bread also has a funny shape because it is printed on a koi fish-shaped grill. And the most important thing is the price is quite affordable, because most are sold on the roadside like this. This food is not hard to find. It is almost always on every road we walk.
“This is it!” said the man while giving the warm bungoppang to us.
“How much?” my many.
“Ten won only.” replied.
After we finished paying for it, we then returned to the banks of the Han river to eat the sweet food while enjoying the view of the Han river that was almost frozen.
