Lara's Admirers

Lara's Admirers
Episode 21

"You finally realize, son. You know that? You were in a coma for two days. And mom is worried."

"The accident...." My muttering.

"Why son?"

"I don't remember anything about the accident. After that it's all dark."

"Udah is not to be thought of. You will be traumatized."

"My legs?"

"Hmmm.... Your leg bone is slightly injured. But not bad. And your knee injury is coming back. So don't move much yet."

"I'm okay."

"Excuse me, the patient on Eresha's behalf immediately went to the therapist's office." Someone behind the door.

"Good sus." Reply Mama.

I was immediately transferred to the wheelchair to go to the room I was referring to just now. Mama said my leg had some injuries and should be in therapy for the next few days. Up there, there just happened to be no queue and we were able to go straight in.

Just a few small treatments, inject vitamins and after that is done. After everything was done, we immediately walked out of the 3x3 meter room.

I'm not sure if I just had a leg injury. I'm sure there's something wrong in my brain. His memory seems irregular. I'm sure I've forgotten something very important in my life.

The next patient came in after we got out. He was a man with several layers of gauze wrapped around his head. He looks like a dazed man. He entered with a woman who looked the same age as him.

"Ma, don't go straight to the room. Here first." My love.

"Oh, okay, baby."

My mom and I sat in the waiting chair in front of the therapist. I'm still curious about the guy just now. I've seen it like before but I don't know where. Not just looking, I felt like I was close to him. Or is it just my feeling.

After a few minutes, they came out and took a position right next to us.

"Hi." His greeting.

"Oh, hi." My reply.

We sat next to each other. I don't think this time we've ever sat next to each other like this.

"Lapse of therapy too?" Ask the man.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Eh, introduce my name to Sendy."

"Sendy?"

I paused for a moment, somehow everything about this man seemed familiar to me. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

"Yes, what's your name?"

"Eresha."

"Oh, Eresha. What a good name. I've heard that name."

"Really?"

"Yes, I seem to have heard that name before."

"Ah, stop. Don't worry, where have you heard that name." Cut the woman who was accompanying him earlier.

I didn't intend to break his words just now.

"Why you?" My toot.

"My head suffered a slight injury from an accident."

"Accident?"

"Yes. Why yourself?"

"Accident too. And my leg is injured."

"So we were both in an accident?"

"It looks so."

Mom seemed to be busy with her phone. While the woman who was next to this man did not seem to like our conversation. His eyes were staring at me cynically. I'm honestly not very comfortable with that look.

"Who is this?" I ventured to ask with Sendy.

"Oh, this is my friend. Her name is Rina."

"Oh..."

"Rina." He said while extending his hand.

"Eresha." My reply returned his hand.

"May I have a mobile number?" Ask the man.

"Ih, what the hell. New people know me too." Ketus Rina's.

"Udah lo diem!" Sendy.

He immediately silenced, silent a thousand languages. This guy can be angry too. And it's a lot scarier than I imagined.

"By, this." My reply then thrust the phone so that he immediately copied my number.

A few seconds later...

"Now, thank you. I'm sure we have a lot in common."

"And maybe we could be friends."

"Or more?"

"Haha, you can too."

Though only a few minutes ago we met each other, but it seems we are so familiar as often met and chat before. Maybe it was just my feelings.

Rina's gaze grew increasingly unfriendly.

"I went back to my room first." My pamit.

"Where is your room? Who knows if we're bored we can talk together."

"Rose Room 8."

"alright. I'll be there."

I just nodded.

"Ma, turn around yuk."

Mama was a little jolted, because she was only focusing on her phone from earlier.

"Have you finished talking?"

"Udah yuk."

Mama immediately pushed my wheelchair back into the room. I don't know how many days I've been in this building.

"Ma, you know what?"

"You what?"

"The boy I was talking to earlier."

"Why is he?"

"I feel like I'm very familiar with him. We were just your first time. But I feel like we've met a lot before."

"You feel it only once."

"Maybe ma."

***

Actually Mama knew that guy was Sendy. Someone who was close to his son. After hearing Eresha's story, if she forgets everything about the accident, it means she also forgets about Sendy.

Mama takes advantage of this situation to make Eresha forget about Sendy. The man who once filled his days. Which was once part of his son's life. Mama knew there were many wounds left deep in the recesses of her son's heart. Mama didn't want to remind her son of all the injuries. He wants his son's heart to heal. It would be too painful for Eresha to know that Sendy is not doing well because of an accident. Therefore forgetting all the things about the man is the best path in your choice.

But, as we know. Eresha was a girl with a sharp premonition. Everyone, even Eresha herself knew that her premonition was always right and never missed. This time his feeling was again. The inner whispers that can only be heard by him. This time he asked the truth.

"Have we met before?" My mind is in my heart.

I'm not the only one who feels this. He even said he had met me before. Who me? Who her? And who are we?

We seem to lose ourselves. It's like I don't even know myself anymore. After the accident, I lost something. I don't know what it is and I don't know where it is. Why does fate seem to hide something from me.

***

"What's? But why ma?"

I'm surprised I didn't play my mom's statement just now.

"And you know your own grandmother lives there alone."

"Didn't Grandma have lived there by herself? And all this time was fine, right?"

"But my grandmother is getting older now. And you're getting older too. So mama sent you there to take care of grandma."

"Why not Renata? Renata is much more mature than I am. I still have to go to school."

"Your ensemble should be studying here. About school mama can take care of the transfer letter."

"If so, then our family will move there."

"Geez!"

Jerky mom.

When I shut up. It hurts my heart to hear my mom yell at me. Not only this time my mom treated me like this.

"Why? So that mama and papa can be a happy family with Mama Renata's son? Da? So that no one else causes trouble in our family? Really right?"

"Udah, don't argue with your mom. At the end of the month, you sent me to Jakarta." My mom left me.

"Why do you always choose love!"

I was crying so much. The tears that I had been holding back could no longer be contained. There is too much sadness I hide. I hugged my legs, drowning my face in between.

I always felt like the universe wouldn't let me be happy. Why is everyone being unfair to me. Including my mom, the person I love. I hate my own mother, the one who gave birth to me. The one who gave me life.

'Kling'

My phone rang while shaking briefly.

I spontaneously looked and checked. There was a short message from WhatsApp. From a number I don't know.

"Hi."

Just intending to reply to him, suddenly the owner of the number made a video call. Without delaying any more, I immediately raised the video call. I was honestly curious about the owner of the number.

"Hi." Greet him with a disjointed voice of course because the internet connection is not good.

"Sendy?"

"Hi, what else? Uh, what are your eyes..... Crying out? Why?"

"Huh? Not really."

I hurriedly wiped away the trail of my tears, not wanting to add to the man's suspicions.

"Riped, right? Don't lie to me. I know it."

"Udah la's. It's not crying either."

"Why? Is there a problem? Aja stories. Who knows, I can help you find a solution."

"No, my injured leg suddenly hurt. That's why I cry." My eagle.

In the meantime, I don't want to tell anyone about this. Especially with someone I just met like him. It is better not to trust new people too easily. Although it seems we are familiar, we also have privacy to take care of.

"Eh, I want to tell you something." Reciprocity.

He seems to be a friendly and sociable person. He also immediately took the initiative to find new topics and did not let this conversation look awkward.

"What story?"

"Late next month I'll move to Jakarta."

"Seriously?"

I'm glad I didn't play listening to her words just now.

"Yes really. Wait a minute, how do you look so good?"

"Eh? Not ordinary."

"Related?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"I happened to move there because I got accepted to study at one of the public universities there."

"Have a good time."

"Yes thanks."

"What degree?"

"Mac of communication."

"No wonder anyway."

"No wonder what that means?"

"It's not surprising that you will be in the communications department. You yourself pinter very communication so quickly familiar with people. Same as me for example."

"Haha, could you. By the way, why did you move to Jakarta?"

"The whole mama was originally for nemenin grandma there. Kasian grandma lives alone."

"Oh, so when are you leaving?"

"That's about the 29th."

"I don't know exactly when to go. But most likely the end of the month."

"Where will you live? Whycost?"

"Yes, I happen to find Rina there. He's got an acquaintance there."

"Once again we have something in common."

"Yes really. We both just had an accident."

"So we will both go to Jakarta at the same time."

"Don't you think we've met before?" Ask us simultaneously.

"Ah, lupain. Uh, mengingan I call you brother deh. You are older than me. What about Brother Sendy?"

"Sister Sendy? It can be."

"Mrs... Sleep at night. Remember you are still sick. You want to heal fast, right?" I heard someone else's voice in Sendy's room.

Sendy turned his face away briefly from his phone screen. He didn't seem to pierce the voice I just heard. His voice sounded like a woman's voice.

"To talk to anyone, it seems so fun to forget the time."

Seen on my phone screen if the woman took over the phone from Brother Sendy's hand. He stared intently at the screen of the phone that was still connected to make a video call with me.

"Sorry to be followed tomorrow again. Sendy needs a break. He's got to sleep." Say it with a ketus.

I thought that woman was Rina. He's the only person I can keep with Sendy at this hospital.

'Tits... Tit... Heh...'

His video call was interrupted shortly after he turned off his phone. I just shook my head. I don't think about that woman. He looks overprotective with Brother Sendy. It would even be obvious if I was close to the man.

"Udah sleeps at night." Persuade Rina.

"Reverse mobile cave!"

"Let me charge first. Look at the battery lives a little."

"No! Turn no! It's the privacy of the cave! And you have no right at all to interfere with the private matter of the cave."

"Please this time it's the same as me brother."

"Balikin or the cave says the same mama so you do not have to keep the cave again in the hospital. The cave can be alone without lo. Gua doesn't like you to interfere with gini."

"So why the hell ever since I knew that girl, sister doesn't want to know what I said."

"Because you're too insistent on cave life."

"Who is he? My sister just met me, right? Why is that brother the same as him. She's not a good girl, sister."

"If the cave just knew him, continue what the same news you who do not know him at all but confidently you say that he is a girl who is not good."

Lina was silenced, she was consumed by her own words. He can't pull back he said just now. He almost slipped and said that Eresha was the right male lover in front of him. He did not want the man he loved to fall back into Eresha's arms.

He knows, even the universe knows that they used to be lovers. Long before the accident happened, many stories they wrote together on destiny paper. But now, all of them refuse to unite. They forget everything. The memories they once painted on the canvas of life seemed to simply vanish. Lost without a trace. Everyone doesn't want them to be back as intact as they used to be. Now they're just half a line trying to find something that's missing. Trying to be whole again but always unable.
