Lara's Admirers

Lara's Admirers
Episode 43

This bike took me back to a place that presented me with a memory in the past. We stopped by a minimarket near the residential complex where I live. As usual, we always sat for a while at the table.

Sendy went inside the minimarket for a while, then came out with two packs of peanut bread and a soda. This moment again occurred after a long time disappeared and almost forgotten by the two owners.

I cursed myself. How can this never cross my mind again at a glance. I think this guy's memory is much better than mine. He is much more perfect than me. And that was the real reality from the beginning.

I opened the can of soda, so that the sound of hiss sounded quietly in my ear. Then drink it a few gulps.

"Sha, will you watch me play tomorrow?" Sendy opened the conversation first.

I immediately turned my gaze to the man while opening my bread packet.

"What match?" Ask wonder.

"Marching band, will you? Want to please...." Reply to the man with a cute expression that was deliberately exaggerated.

To be honest, I really wanted to slap her cheek. For some reason each saw his expression that was like just now, making me furious myself. Between disgust and amusement mixed into one.

He didn't deserve me to act like that at all. Just imagine someone who looks cold, indifferent, with a slight impression of a bad boy suddenly acting pretentious.

"Marching band?"

Brother Sendy nodded quickly confirming my words just now.

I'm trying to make sure I get back if I didn't hear wrong just now. It's been a while since he's been involved in that since the accident.

"When did you become a marching band again? How do I not know?"

"It's been a while actually. From the first day of college."

"Still playing the same thing? Tom Quint?"

"Yes dong, I'm more pro in that part."

"Wouldn't the older brother actually be able to play all percussion devices? Why don't you change it, get a new experience."

"Yes, but not as good as I play quint tom. I've been used to holding a quint tom for a long time."

"If you are comfortable with one thing it will be difficult to turn away."

"Heh... Basic bucin. A kid can't be bucin, a real school."

"Okay, get the boss done."

I actually miss my past too. It can be said, since I was a child I have been used to training as a marching band member.

My life used to be full of songs, tones, and tempos that sometimes made me groggy myself when playing it. Everything was so exciting first.

I've been a part of the marching band since I was in elementary school. So it's really ingrained with me.

It was the only way to calm myself. Separate yourself for a moment from the hustle and complexity of school world life. This is where I let go of all the burdens of my life, enjoying every symphony we created together.

Here it is not at all important how smart you are in the field of exacta or theory. Unlike schools that always demand you for these two things, even though they know everyone has different talents and potential.

Here all we need is intention, discipline, consistency, resilience and the most important thing is teamwork. It was at times like this that made me feel a little relieved. Because you do not have to bother to calculate the results of geometry.

But there are times when we must be able to accept the consequences. In the hours of continuous training, it makes you want to give up. Look ahead, this is a process. The process in which we will be booked becomes a real personality.

Sometimes I hate training. But not infrequently I also smile satisfied to see the results. Think of it as a fair payment.

"So how? Wouldn't you?"

Suddenly the voice sounded again. It was enough to make me wake up jolted from my daydream.

Without a second thought, I immediately nodded swiftly agreeing to his request.

"Okay, if that's what I'll tell you about the same place later." Reply to the man with great enthusiasm.

His face immediately turned so bright. He was smiling with no burden at all.

I threw my bag in any direction. Then it immediately collapsed on the bed. I stared at the ceiling of my room while daydreaming. I don't even know what I was daydreaming about at the time.

I let out a long sigh while gathering the intention to get up. If I could, I'd love to take a day off from my busy life.

"Tok..but.tok..."

I turned my eyes towards the door. Someone knocked on my door from outside. Inevitably I had to get out of my bed to open the door.

"Grandmother? What's up, grandma?" But

My word.

"Royal change, get ready. Wear nice, neat clothes." Grandma said without further ado.

But I just got home. I'm going to take a shower and change after this. But not a good shirt, just a t-shirt as usual.

"Ta..ta...pi...why?" I asked while scratching my head that did not itch.

"In a moment her boyfriend Renata is coming. He's proposing to Renata. So hurry up you get ready. Grandma wait downstairs." Obviously grandma.

Both my eyeballs were perfectly rounded after hearing the sentence just now. I was surprised not to play, not knowing what to say. I'm out of words.

I asked again to make sure I didn't hear wrong just now. "In lamar?"

Grandma nodded quickly then pushed me into the room.

"Fugitively hunted!" Grandma replied and left in front of me.

I still can't believe that that woman will meet her soul mate this soon. The person he trusted to accompany him for a lifetime, and was indeed outlined in his destiny to look after my brother.

"Are they going to get married? Or the fiancee first?" I muttered slowly.

I shook my head, still inexhaustible with this. Before long I immediately did grandmother's order to prepare.

***

I came down the stairs after Renata's white sweater and knee-length pleated skirt that I haven't had time to return since the event to the night market that time. For the sake of that woman I was willing to look different. Maybe I should be this feminine too. After all, I was coded as a woman.

Sometimes I steal a glance towards the living room. Looks like I'm not too late. There was no sign of the man. I sped up my steps, then walked up to Grandma and Renata down there.

Sure enough, I didn't even expect it to be this pretty. It is only fitting that Sister Sendy had made her queen in her heart. Can not be denied, this woman is indeed very beautiful.

But why can't I be as pretty as her. We were born from the same womb. Why all the beauty of the mother is given all to Renata. There was not even a little left for this youngest daughter.

I nodded slowly saying his words.

"Not come who wants to sleep?" I asked while circulating my gaze throughout the room.

"Not yet." Renata answered briefly.

He is rarely seen squeezing his own hands. His feet did not stop to shake. He looks so nervous. Naturally, which woman is not nervous at a time like this.

"What time is it from? How does that look perfect." I try to melt the atmosphere.

"Haha... Can aja. Just now anyway, not for hours." Reply Renata.

Now he was a little more relaxed, his face was not as stiff as before. At least it's much better.

"But it looks like it's been carefully prepared." Reply with a little bit.

"Tok..but.tok..."

Finally someone came. Is that Renata's girlfriend, or even the usual package courier? I immediately ran enthusiastically to open the door. While Renata looks tidying up his makeup.

"Please enter!" I said, letting the man in.

He only smiled faintly while nodding his head, then approached Renata and grandma while shaking hands. I was running around following the man's footprints from behind. Of course I don't want to miss this chance for a split second.

I took the place right next to Grandma. My eyes kept watching the man's every move.

"Know this whole thing, Reksa, my girlfriend. And Muta, this is my family. This is my grandmother and this is my sister Eresha." Renata.

It helps us to get to know each other.

"Hi, my name is Reksa Prahadi." Said the man while extending his hand to me.

"Eresha Caitlyn Ananda." I said while returning his hand.

"Beautiful as her brother." Reply Mutual.

I can only smile stiffly at this moment. Rarely would anyone praise me. Hh, why am I being this wrong.

It looked like she was the same age as Renata, or just a little older than him. If I Renata was twenty-two years old at this time, it should be the same age Mutual or one year older on it.

Reksa Prahadi. His stature was high, about one hundred and eighty centimeters. His skin was pure white like the descendants of a Chinese family. Wait a minute, maybe he is indeed a Chinese blood, if in terms of physical very similar.

The body is also sturdy and very athletic like the defenders of the homeland trained in the military.

"So here, I mean coming here to propose to a granddaughter named Renata. Because Renata had told me that his parents were out of town, we decided to make a symbolic proposal first." Obviously the guy named Mutual.

I just sat there, listening to their conversation. Besides I don't need to interfere, this topic is too heavy for a high school kid who is in third grade.

"Oh, yes, their father and mother are out of town. They live here with grandma." Reply grandma.

"Judah, please just get started." Connect grandma.

Muta nodded quickly, then took something out of his pants pocket. It's a maroon red ring box.

This young man changed positions, he sat on the floor kneeling to Renata. Looks like he really conquered this one woman.

Muta opened the box, until it appeared a pair of silver rings with a simple but quite elegant model.

"Will you marry me?" Speak with confidence.

I don't see the slightest doubt on this man's face. He really has set his heart on my sister.

It seems like most people in general, Renata's face immediately met red.

"Yes." Yeah." Reply Renata timidly.

The answer to that was short but solid and clear. One word that makes everyone smile. A word that will change his future in a moment.

If one day I was in Renata's position, who would treat me like this later.

"Don't even think about it? No-no! Must focus on school first, will soon graduate." My mind is in my heart.

Shortly after hearing the answer he had been waiting for from his lover, Mutual immediately wrapped the ring in Renata's hand accompanied by a happy smile.

Now it was Renata's turn to wrap the thing in Mutual's hands. Wait, does this mean they're engaged? Or proposal? Uh! I don't know! It's their business anyway.

The two lovers were in the midst of flowers of his heart. It was as if the world belonged to just the two of them at this moment. My grandmother and I could be like the trees that bear silent witness to their sacred promise.

"Oh yes, what if now we obrolin the date of our departure to Pematangsiantar." Said Renata enthusiastically.

"What about tomorrow?" Reksa Proposal.

"Tomorrow? Isn't it too fast?" Reply grandma.

Yes, as you know, again I am just a good listener.

"Tomorrow we don't have class. Besides, I'm sure your grandma's free." Reply Reksa tried to convince Renata and grandma.

"If grandma is up to you."

"But tomorrow Eresha has to go to school." Renata.

"We leave in the afternoon, the schoolgirls must have gone home."

Why are they suddenly talking about me.

"Where's sha?" Ask Renata.

"Ah? Me? mending don't come along." My reply.

"Loh why? Your sister wants a proposal."

"Of course, tomorrow Eresha has to go to school. And just came home at three in the afternoon, there are additional tutoring for UN preparation. So tomorrow we're home at about six." I clearly.

Shortly after, I still have to watch Brother Sendy fight. But if I say that one thing, they won't let me go. They would definitely assume if I would rather watch that not necessarily won match, than come to my brother's official application.

If they knew it was the only way to treat my miss. Because before the accident, it was my last chance to be part of a marching band.

"Yahh.. don't exclamation dong." Renata.

"When I get married I'll come to promise." My reply.
