Lara's Admirers

Lara's Admirers
Episode 55's

Clara then immediately opened the purple indigo box. While I allowed them to sit on the long sofa located in the corner of the room. Usually aunt sleep there at night.

I sat in my position, leaning on the side of the bed. My hair is still so messy, akhh! I then slipped this cloth to cover my head. I don't even remember where I last put my hair tie.

"Brownies huh?" Ask me after the box is opened.

"Yes, you like it, right?"

I nodded quickly at Clara's words just now.

"This beautiful country made you." Further.

"Oh, so Arka? Thanks for the brownies, same for yesterday." My word.

"It's easy, it's like anybody." The reply.

"What was the Ark yesterday?" Ask Adit who always felt curious.

"Back my phone." I reply quickly.

After she finished cutting, Clara handed the cake to all of us including auntie. Aunt has always been here twenty-four hours with me. There was no one at home either. Grandma and Renata have not yet returned from their journey.

That night I was so happy to have them there. At least the pain I was experiencing slowly began to disappear. Especially when there was Adit there, who gave all his best ability in making jokes. Slowly my spirit began to return again. It is true said people, a happy mood will affect the physical condition as well.

That night we talked until late, not remembering the time at all. Lots of stories that night. The place that I initially hated so much, I slowly started to accept. Time must force us to get back apart. They immediately say goodbye because it is very late.

"Be careful, yeah..." I said with a small smile.

"Get well soon sha, I miss your self on beside me." Said someone walking in the backmost position.

Arka approached me for a moment, saying a few words that she wanted to say earlier. It's just that he can only say it now, because his tongue was a bit cheeky.

"Ich liebe dich's..." Further.

Then the man immediately came out following the others. He was the last person to come out of this room.

My eyes were perfectly rounded when Arka said the last sentence. A German sentence which, if translated into Indonesian, means that I love you.

Did he really say it according to his feelings, or just.... Ah, I don't know! Why do I have to worry about that anyway.

After they left, the atmosphere in this room again became quiet as usual. All that's left is me and my aunt. I'm back in touch now. It felt that after they came earlier, my drowsiness instantly disappeared instantly.

"Drrttt!!!"

Suddenly, my phone rings softly. I checked it out, who knows it's important.

"Hello?" My answer.

I immediately picked up the incoming phone at that time, without looking comfortable first. Basically I've always been like that.

"Hello sha...."

Answer the voice from across.

Looks like the signal's not so good. Maybe out there is a strong wind or the weather is not as good as possible, so there is often a communication disorder like this.

"Hello!" My word.

But there's no answer from there. Then the phone disconnected itself. I saw his name that I had not read. It was from Sendy's sister. He doesn't usually call me this late. What's up, anyway?

I tried to call him back, who knew there was something important he wanted to talk about. But still the results were not what I expected.

"Sorry the number you are going to cannot be reached, try a few more moments..."

That's the only sound I can hear from my phone. Besides, there is no answer at all.

"Whose phone is mbak?" Ask aunt.

"Temen bi, he called me first. But we haven't talked yet because the signal's a nuisance." I'm obviously what I am.

"Have you tried calling again?"

"Udah bi, just still can not be contacted."

I've started giving up trying to contact him. After all if he really needs to talk to me about it, he will definitely try to contact me as well.

"Excuse me..." A person who knows when he has been in the doorway.

It was a nurse who usually did always go around to check the condition of the patient. Every day is always a different person, so I can't memorize their faces one by one.

The one that came this time was also different from the one yesterday or the one that was last afternoon. This woman looks like a person from mainland Europe. Unlike the sisters who usually come here, usually they are local people who do work at this hospital.

The woman looks so high when compared to Indonesians in general. Her body was slim and her posture was also very proportional. Her hair is a little blonde in a bun neatly.

He came up to me with some paper on the board of the road he had brought with him.

"Good night..." His word.

Indonesian pronunciation is very good and so fluent. It almost sounds like a real Indonesian. It seems that he has lived and lived here for a long time.

"Night sus!" My reply.

The woman just smiled at me. Then he checked out some of the things he had to give his report to the hospital chief. He also checked my intravenous fluids that were running out. If tomorrow's liquid isn't added to the new fluid, chances are I can go back home soon.

Not to forget, he also checked my body temperature with a thermometer placed between my jaws. Lately I have had a low-grade fever since I was here. Often no appetite and even not infrequently I complain of feeling unwell.

The woman highlighted me with eyes that were hard for me to understand. Although I actually felt uncomfortable with the glare of her eyes so sharp, it made her a little afraid and reluctant to return her gaze.

"Your eyes are so sparkling." His word.

I turned my eyes towards him. I don't know what he meant just now, I don't understand at all.

"You're a great forecaster of the future. But unfortunately you can't predict everything that's going to happen to you." Further.

The more I get here the more confusion it makes. I don't know what he's talking about. I don't understand at all. My mind is not being invited to play guessing like this.

"You have to be careful, not everything you see will always be like that at any time. They're trying to play a scenario in your life." Said once again.

I feel like I want to say something right now, but I can't let this thermometer escape my clutches. I have to repeat it again until it happens.

"Please stop looking at me like that!"

That's what I wanted to scream in front of his face right then and there. I think he's very presumptuous because he's been pretentious about my life. It was as if he was looking for something inside of me. That's why he looked at me so deeply, I could feel that. He tried to steal my personal information.

"Alright, it looks like your condition has started to improve." He said while recording the temperature listed on the thermometer.

"Next time don't do that to me." I said just after it was taken out of my mouth.

"Don't joke, I'm gonna have to check on you." Reply with a small laugh.

"Not that one, the other one."

He seemed to think for a moment, rubbing his chin slowly.

My expectations about him earlier, instantly froze for a moment. It's a long way from what I was before. The parasite is not in accordance with his behavior. Sometimes people are like that. Therefore, there is an old saying that says do not judge a book just by its cover.

"Oh, that one? My words earlier?" His word.

Eventually the woman realized what her mistake was.

"But trust me, I'm not lying. Someone's trying to play a charade in your life. Don't trust them too much. It could be that person is your closest person." Clearly so convincingly.

"I'll excuse you first, I have to go check into the other room." Further.

After that he actually left this room. Actually my heart is still irritated because it was treated like that. But yes, after all, in this place there are always a lot of strange people.

"Don't you know the same one?" Ask the confused aunt.

I shook my head. My mood is really falling apart right now because of what he said just now. That sounds more like a curse. But somehow it feels like I need to consider what he said earlier.

I suddenly thought about the woman's words. He said there was a charade in my life. And is also warning me not to trust them easily, even though I do not know exactly who he is referring to here.

But there's one thing that makes me feel a little weird. The last words he said before he left. He claimed it could have been someone who had a close relationship with me. A sentence representing the parable of the enemy in a blanket. Maybe it was someone who tried to stab me in the back.

I was thinking if it was mom or dad, back of this they did change. They even sent me to this place. To a metropolis full of people will be in a frenzy. But here I found so many people who cared and cared for me.

"It's impossible if it's my parents! Consciously, this is all just bullshit." I murmured in my heart.

The woman's words just now, managed to make me feel bad for the people closest to me. I tried to forget that incident. Maybe it was just a joke, even though it didn't sound funny at all.

I decided to go straight to sleep afterwards. While aunt seems to be busy pacing around here and there even though I don't know for sure why she did it.

"Drrttt!!!"

I was just about to close my eyes, my phone was ringing again. I clucked while picking up the phone. The name listed there from Brother Sendy again.

"Hello sha, are you all right?" Ask the man.

"Yes that's it." Short reply.

"Sorry, I just found out about your condition from Arka. Lately I've been busy with college." Obviously Brother Sendy.

He seems to be saying it as it is. I can feel it, everyone can understand it. The middle of the year as well as the end of this semester is indeed a very busy time for students and students. It feels like we have a little more time left to finish it all. Twenty-four hours a day seemed to pass so quickly hunting us down. It should have been a little less last night.

Sometimes in order to achieve the dream we want, there must be something we sacrifice.

"Hello?" The man said on the phone.

"Eh, why?" I reply half surprised.

I just realized if we had miscommunication earlier. It was all because I came back to daydreaming all of a sudden.

"Sorry about that..." Lirih.

"It's okay."

"I'm going there now..."

"Eh, no! His clock is over. It's night too." Prevent me.

"Okay, that's it tomorrow."

"That's better."

"Yes, good night."

"Night..."

A second later came the deliberate phone call, "Tut..tut...tut..."

I immediately removed the rectangular object from before me. Not to forget I also deactivated all the ringtones, so there was no more interference from the thing.

I tried to fall asleep again this time. My eyes stared straight at the ceiling of this room. A blank look I threw up there. My mind can't stand still, they keep wandering wherever they want.

"How did Arka get in here yesterday?" My mind is in my heart.

According to the aunt's story yesterday, the man came here around eleven in the evening. The clock should have run out by ten yesterday. But why would he get away and just get in here. Why should I be confused thinking about it anyway. Arka's got a million tactics in his head. His brain is able to think four times faster than humans in general.

I didn't think my phone would be in his hands by then. I thought it was just left in the drawer without anyone knowing. I didn't even think that man would come here at night like yesterday. He forced himself too much into it. I'm sure there's a lot of things that he has to put off because of a little problem like this.

"Kurus.krukk...."

Damnit damnit! Just make it ashamed! The worm doesn't know itself! I just had dinner a few hours ago. Even though hospital food always feels bland, still I have to eat it. Now why are the little worms protesting again.

"Huh, you shitty shit!" My grouse in my heart.

Aunty stopped her activities for a moment, then immediately approached me.

"Mak laper huh?" Ask aunt.

I was timidly forced to answer him, "i-iya bi..."

Aunty just laughed a little listening to my answer just now. I expected, it would definitely be like this at the ends.

"Do you want to buy food in front?"

"Emang still open bi, it's already at this hour."

"If it's still twenty-four hours open."

In front of this hospital there are several warteg and also a restaurant that is open all day. Hospital staff also often stop by there during lunch or shift changes.

"Mbak want what? Let auntie buyin for a minute." Said aunt while taking her purse.

"Eresha go with ya bi, find the wind."

"Oh, it's late. Mending don't mbak, let auntie buyin."

"Nothing, yeah.please...."

The woman sighed heavily and then said, "have you already mbak."

"Thank you bi...."

Auntie immediately took a wheelchair in the corner there. But I refuse to wear it. I felt strong enough to walk. Finally we headed to the only elevator on this floor to get to the ground floor.

Suddenly, my chest hurt as we waited for the elevator. It felt so typical, I could remember this pain clearly. It feels the same as I hit Brother Sendy's body when my soul was wandering around. As I stood right in front of him, then he came forward and crashed into my soul without him noticing.

"Mbak, why? Let's go back." Said the aunt who was starting to look panicked.

"It's okay to bi, we just continue."

"Isn't anything really? But it seems like it hurts."

"It's okay to be bi..."

We better continue our journey. We've come this far and it's been almost half the way. I tried to endure the pain that became so. I grimaced in pain while still holding onto my chest.

Surprisingly when I got into the elevator, the pain slowly disappeared and began to subside. I can finally stand up straight. Until the elevator stopped on the last floor, the pain had completely disappeared and I was back as before.

"What do you want to eat?" Ask your aunt after getting off the bus.

I was confused which one to choose. There's too much food out there. If I could, I would actually want all of that. But I'm not sure my hamburku strong hold it, that's why inevitably I have to choose some

"Buy chicken porridge just good time ya bi?" My word.

"Judah we buy chicken porridge." Reply aunt.

Suddenly, my aunt pulled my hand as we were about to cross. There was an ambulance that would pass in front of us at that time. Fortunately, my aunt immediately pulled my hand. If not, maybe even I will be in the ER room instead of the patient they are carrying.

I was really in shock at the time. How could I not listen to the sirens from the ambulance. If it's a split second too late, I don't know what will happen to me anymore. I calmed myself down for a moment after the incident. My heart wanted to be broken right then and there.

The ambulance entered the hospital. Then some medics who were standing guard there, immediately scattered out to welcome the sound of the siren. Some people in all-white clothes came out with stretchers to bring the patient inside.

I saw what was happening in front of me at that moment. After the ambulance doors were opened, many hospital personnel crowded there. But I could see the dying man from their sidelines.

Looks like that guy just had an accident. His face was drenched in blood which not infrequently provoked the nausea of those around him. But not with me, I'm used to seeing the red viscous liquid.

It seems like his condition is really critical. He even had to wear a breathing apparatus at the time. I was so happy to see his condition at the time. He must be saved immediately. Now it all depends on the doctors.

I can only hope that the man is safe. He still deserves to live, there are still many things he wants to achieve. If you look at his appearance, he looks young. It's a pity if he has to leave so soon. People who love him must be very difficult to accept it. Hopefully, the doctors can save his life that is being threatened. Now the medics are doing their best.

"Pity is mbak." Said the aunt who saw the incident.

"Yes bi, pity is young. I hope he survives bi." My reply.

"Amen..." Auntie.

After the nurses took her into the ER, the people who saw her began to return to activities. Likewise with me and aunt, we again continued the short journey that had stopped for a moment.

I continued walking beside aunt, trying to align my footsteps with this woman while continuing to hold my infusion bottle.

We headed to one of the stalls on the side of the road. More precisely street vendors. The aroma of the cooking had invited me from a distance, then led my steps until I finally got here.

"Bang, the chicken porridge is two servings yes..." Aunty.

While our order was being prepared, my aunt invited me to sit in a long chair that is usually found in roadside stalls like this.

"Mbak isn't sleepy yet?" Ask aunt.

I just shook weakly.

"It's twelve o'clock by the foot." His word.

"Really bi?" I asked half surprised.

"Yes, look at aunt's hour." Reply to aunty while showing the clock on her phone screen.

I really didn't expect it to be this late. I guess it's still around ten o'clock in the evening. It turned out to be that hour. Not really felt when working in silence.

"Perhaps because it was a mute nap this time bi, so it's not sleepy at all." I said in a flat tone.

"But I have to sleep later." Reply aunt.

"If you're sleepy, hehe..." I said as though I were innocent.

Aunty could only shake her head inexhaustibly. He must really prepare extra patience to face me.

I am a child who likes to talk to those closest to me. Including aunt and grandmother. But since I started growing up, I have spent more and more of my time alone in my room. Long before I moved to this city. After a long time, fate finally brought me to this place. To a place I never thought I'd find millions of laughs here.
