We, Without Me

We, Without Me
Come on, We're Dating

Flashback.

His butt was cramping, numb as if billions of ants were groaning. Sighing annoyed Yuki sat down uncomfortably. Shifted to the right-left with anxiety, but it made him want to be angry at the meat is not plump that coats his sitting bones.

“Job problems don't get confused. As long as you come with Papa, all Papa can set.”

“There is a job opening?”

“Papa introduction much.”

“Oh .. So nepotism ...." Parroting Yuki flashed three floating words. His head nodded in understanding. The fingers are linked, tapping each other's backs as if to form a rhythm that accompanies the rotation in the brain. "Honestly, I don't care if Papa helps me. It's even a chance that I won't be unemployed. Because I'm sure I'll work hard to prove I deserve.”

“Sure you have to prove. You cannot be underestimated by others" Papa Gibran said. At first glance a thin smile that haughty adorned the lips of Papa Gibran.

“Iya, I know. But, Pa. .. Please let me try myself. Papa has to let me fall, wake up, turn over first, let me know how hard it is to get to work. At least I have experience,” said Yuki sage, actually rejecting Papa Gibran's offer.

"Okay, if you want to find a job yourself. No problem, even Papa is proud you want to try yourself. But you stay with Papa.”

“I want to work in this City, Pa. So I can't go with Papa.”

“Don't be stubborn. At least you're not lonely living with Papa. There's Your Sister and Mama.”

"Since when does Papa care if I'm lonely or not?" yuki asked spontaneously. He chuckled incisively, widening a smile on his lips that was in fact twitching in pain. "I'm used to being alone, with no Papa or Mama. Precisely from the beginning you are more concerned with money than affection for me ... I was quite happy. If not, I would have asked Mama, Pa. Just like Papa, Mama also asked me to stay with Mama.”

Sighing heavily while staring at Yuki who was busy nibbling on the straw, Papa Gibran leaned back while scoping. "After you divorce, you are Papa's responsibility again" said Papa Gibran, his tone seemed to imply anxiety, but also worry. Honestly, it is difficult for Yuki to be amazed at the true meaning of the Papa's words.

“But you don't have to stay with Papa," muttered Yuki softly with a throbbing lip before returning to say, "I've been alone all this time."

"That's why you're coming with Papa so you're not alone."

"Once again I'm sorry, Pa ... I'm comfortable here. So it's not that I don't want to stay home with Papa and Aunt Inka ...."

"Call Mama or Mommy, not Aunt" Papa Gibran said, interrupting Yuki's unfinished sentence.

Grunting loudly, Yuki's thinning wall of patience finally collapsed. “Anyone can be Papa's wife, but not to occupy the position of Mama in my life. So let me keep calling Papa's wife Auntie,” said Yuki quickly, no less assertive with the intonation of Papa Gibran's voice.

The eyes that had been panning over the lazy ice dawet that was only a quarter of a glass now flashed furiously. The anger was booming, but it was such a way Yuki pressed.

"Even from the beginning Papa didn't involve me as Papa's son. Papa is not a single man. Papa has a family, is married and has children. Did you ever ask me if I want to or don't have 2 mothers? Nope! So don't make me acknowledge her as a mother. She's Papa's wife, but not my mother!"

"Don't be insolent! The person you call 'her' is already your mother!" Papa Gibran's voice rose, reaching the other visitor's table. The old man forgot the surrounding conditions that were quite crowded.

'Whatever, ' Yuki answered ketus in the heart. Lazy to make a sound if it will only trigger a new debate.

A moment of silence struck. The familial atmosphere in a restaurant that Papa Gibran chose could not lower the tension between the Father and the Son.

The two men of different ages who both looked at the traffic on the road survived in the fortress of silence. The whining and screaming of small children who want ice cream is clear, but does not disturb the father and son who are reluctant to speak first.

“Sorry, late,” says heavy someone who managed to speed along the way to meet Yuki. The disheveled appearance of almost crazy waiting for Yuki in front of the boarding house has been slightly tidied up, only his hair is very visible combed with fingers.

Drakes.

The wooden chair was pushed back, scraping roughly the cement floor. The crackling echoed loudly even though the atmosphere of the restaurant was quite crowded. Practically attract attention all pairs of piqued eyes. Some ignore, but most choose to hold a glance full of curiosity.

"Why are you here?!" Glaring sharply with a roar of hunting breaths, Papa Gibran shoved the rough left shoulder of Keven. Sontak Keven who was unprepared immediately staggered, hitting the empty table behind him. Lucky not to fall. He reflexes to concentrate body weight on solid feet.

"Go! Don't come near my son again!" ketus Papa Gibran is angry. He felt humbled by Keven over rumors that Papa Gibran secretly attempted matches from various sources. Definitely not reliable.

Without ever remembering that there is Yuki the biological child who can be questioned as well as knitting back a tangled relationship. Maybe even Papa Gibran forgot if he also played a big role in making Yuki not struggling to get caught up in the wedding game Keven.

"Pa ...," said Keven with his throat choked. His hands were outstretched wanting to greet the in-laws. Really Keven is thickening his face with malice.

“Go!” Papa Gibran's index pointed straight, pointing at the exit with a thunderous voice. A second later the hand that had just been raised straight was already jolting the chest of Keven's field.

While the hand that is floating waiting for the position is only able to squeeze the air, the strong clenching holds a jolt that is actually not how much felt for Keven.

“Pa, already! Shameful to see people,” pinta Yuki in a soft voice while trying to break Papa Gibran's rampage on Keven. Of course Keven resigned without a fight. Keven knew he was wrong and was still lucky to only get such treatment from his future former in-laws.

“Soaring!” knock Papa Gibran while pulling Yuki's arm until the owner jumped closer beside Papa Gibran. “No need you protect this bastard.”

“I asked Mas Keven here. So Papa should not be angry with Mas Keven.”

"Tomorrow you're divorced. Why are you dealing with him again?!" papa Gibran said with anger.

"Sorry, Pa ... I'm ...."

"It's still my household, Pa!"

Keven and Yuki's words were thrown simultaneously, but were clearly dominated by Yuki's rising voice.

“Papa aja Papa's household destroyed itself, so for what emotions about my household?” Yuki's flat face looked up, staring fixedly at Papa Gibran who was instantly silently pecking. Too surprised by the princess's change in expression. What else is a spicy sentence thrown on target.

“This is our decision. Papa doesn't have to interfere. And never patronize us. Divorced our relationship remains good" he said coldly, almost emotionless. Though the turmoil was already stirring up to kill Yuki slowly. "Better Papa take care of Papa's young, beautiful new wife again. Remember yes Pa, Papa is old, do not let Papa got karma cheated time sickly.”

“YUKI!” snapped Papa Gibran with sharp glaring eyes.

“I'm serious, Pa. Don't blame Mama's workaholic attitude, because between the three of you nothing is right. And until whenever my mom is just one, Mama Maria!" The anger returned. Soaring high burns old disappointments that have not been treated. Trying to be muffled with all her might until Yuki's veins stiffened, protruding behind the layer of skin of the temple.

"One more .. Please make peace. I'm tired! When you were together, I was alone. Now that you have your own lives, why should I go dizzy?!” yuki shouted hysterically, hitting Papa Gibran.

Now the man can see his son is not okay. Yuki's smile, laughter and hollow eyes were thought to be just illusions. Again, Papa Gibran cannot lie with justification.

“Udah ..” Keven rubbed Yuki's back, shaking slowly for Yuki to stop. Not to hold all the complaints of Yuki regardless, but Keven was not able to see one by one the wounds that were increasing as the tiny lips continued to open.

Sighing heavily, Yuki closed her eyes tightly. A few seconds later he opened with the face turned away. Rebellious brows furrowed over Keven's sad gaze which Yuki first saw.

“I think that's all Papa wants to say, right? I have an appointment with Mas Keven, so once again I apologize to Papa. I am not a filial child. But I will keep trying, at least Papa does not regret having a child like me.”

Yuki selflessly passed from before the Papa. Leaving behind Keven who pleads for Papa Gibran's understanding of Yuki's attitude.

Sorry was spoken dozens of times from Keven's lips, but Papa Gibran seemed deaf to every buzz of sound waves created. His old eyes continued to stare at Yuki's frail back who was getting farther away, slowly disappearing from sight. Leave the stifling blob he regrets.

“Sorry for waiting until night. I thought you came home knowing I wasn't at the boarding house" Yuki chirped. The beautiful night sky, even without stars. It looks brighter than the nights before.

“I'll definitely wait for you,” says Keven.

“Sorry my phone turned off. His intention was not to meet Papa, but it was my destiny to meet Papa again.”

"Sorry ...."

"I'm sorry? Why?" Frowning in wonder, Yuki glanced at Keven who was standing on his left side.

For a moment, the lips were forced to smile. "It's not your fault. I'm the only one who hasn't been able to see Papa."

"I ...."

"Udah our way of life," cut Yuki quickly.

"Don't you say today we can't remember anything but enjoying our time together? He said he wanted a date. Why should I melow anyway? " yuki continued to say. Nudging Keven's flirtatious arm with a little little jump. Spontaneous Keven chuckled, though still emitting a wilful smile.

"Yes ... Come on, we're dating." Instantly a dim cheer was radiated. The two men of different sexes smiled broadly showing off rows of teeth. Covering the gnawing pain when the laughter is cheerful ringing.

Sweet sticky cotton candy. Spicy biting mercon pentol. The cold, refreshing ice soda. All of them managed to awaken the twinkle of Yuki and Keven's dim eyes.

Both walk side by side. First time linking to each other with a friendly. Joking laughter buried the wounds and the fact of parting in plain sight. Carving out the most beautiful memories that Yuki had dreamed of for a long time. Unfortunately they found happiness that night on broken glass. The more trampled, the more the wound was bleeding.

All the conjectures that had pinched the corner of Yuki's heart had vanished. Explanation after explanation has been conveyed, from the arrival of Alia to her who crouched in the post Satpam kos-kosan Yuki. There are no more misunderstandings today.

Keven's explanation, however, was only able to treat Yuki's disappointment, not changing Yuki's decision to remain separated. Evidently the next day, both Yuki and Keven had officially held the status of widow and widow sealed.
