Chapter 40 - Floretta's Decision
"Mom Magenta, is it really okay to hide this matter from His Majesty the King? I saw that, right? Her Royal Highness Princess Florett signed the annulment letter?"
Moments after Floretta leaves with Leon, Lily reveals her anxiety to Magenta. Since last night his heart had been wondering, what was it that Princess Floretta suddenly asked to be dressed like a queen. Is this the last sign of her wearing their royal clothes?
"I think the same, Lily. Moreover, the members of the council were not people who could be trusted," muttered Bu Magenta with an anxious face.

"Y-Her Royal Highness Princess Fl-floretta there's a meeting with a-member council." This time it was Bu Magenta who replied with a stifled and stammered voice.
"What is this meeting doing so early in the morning?" Alden frowned in astonishment. Moreover, he was not informed, about the important meeting.

"What's? Marriage annulment letter?" Alden cut Lily's sentence in a high tone.

Without waiting for an answer from Floretta's personal servant, Alden immediately swung his legs towards the board member's meeting room.
"A-you signed it, Your Majesty?" edmund's murmurs didn't believe it. He saw Floretta's signature on the bottom of the letter, in blue ink.
"I thought about what you said back then. And it's true, I don't deserve to be queen here" Floretta said, raising her face, and staring at all the members of the palace council who were present in the room.
"I'm glad Your Majesty noticed it quickly."
Edmund grinned widely, hearing Floretta's words just now. This means that their fight is over. Victory is on their side.
"Then, Your Majesty can immediately give us the letter. Then we will compensate, as we talked about yesterday" Edmund said.
"Wait first. How can I believe you let me out alive from this place, after handing over the letter?" Floretta held the letter tightly.
The sharp eyes, as well as the firm sentence made them gasp in shock. The nobles did not expect, Floretta dared to fight them like that.
"Trust me, we will let you out alive, Your Majesty. We don't want to make a fuss in the palace, for killing a human being" Russell said.
"really. Try Your Majesty think, if Your Majesty does not hand over the letter, Your Majesty will be stuck here forever. Trapped with vampires who hate humans" Daisy continued.
"Oh, so you all hate me? I'm becoming more and more unsure, with the promises you've made," Floretta said with a cynical smile.
Edmund was furious, seeing Floretta who was stalling for time.
