The Vampire King's Storage Waiter
Chapters 11. Ballad Garlic

"Flo, are you wearing a garlic necklace?" exclaim Alden.

Floretta suddenly looked down. He raised the collar of his shirt so that the strands of garlic were not visible.

"Where did you get that thing? And for what?" alden asked with a loud laugh.

"You want to use that garlic as a weapon? Or to make special dishes?" keep Alden on.

"Ah, where did I get it, i-it's a secret. And I did this just in case," Floretta replied with a reddened face in embarrassment. His secret weapon was already seen by the enemy.

"Surely after this he forced me to throw this garlic away, and removed this cooking spice from all parts of the palace," Floretta thought anxiously.

Alden laughed out loud at the words of his wife. The vampire king also revealed his sharp canine teeth.

"Kok even fucked me, anyway?" Floretta pouting.

"Your behavior is so funny. Where do you get your info, if vampires are afraid of garlic?" ask Alden.

"Loh, isn't that so? All the movies about vampires on TV, definitely show that your nation is afraid of garlic" Floretta replied.

Floretta thought it was just Alden's trick, so he could get rid of the garlic easily.

"Huh? Really? I never saw a vampire movie. But obviously the info is very misguided," Alden said without being able to stop his laughter.

"But that's real, right? Don't try to trick me, just so you can get rid of this garlic easily." Floretta did not believe it just like that, in the person who had lied to her so many times.

"But I think it's better to quickly remove the necklace, before being matched with the vampires here." Alden could not help but laugh.

"I don't want to! Later if I let go of this, you immediately suck my blood for breakfast. And I'm definitely not the first human victim here" Floretta said, refusing to open the garlic necklace.

"Flo, listen to me carefully. Vampires are not afraid of garlic. From the time of our ancestors, we have even used garlic for cooking spices," explained Alden.

The man stirred the contents of his plate, then stabbed a garlic tucked between the meat, and chewed it round and round. Not just once, Alden did the same thing up to three times.

"Huh? So really?" Floretta was astonished to see Alden chewing the garlic casually.

"So you eat like humans too?" tanya Flo was still astonished.

"Yes, of course" said Alden. "We have lived for several centuries with humans, and our nation has begun to adapt" Alden explained.

"But it still drinks human blood often too?" ask Floretta still curious.

"Come, eat fast. Wait what else?" alden said, urging Floretta to eat soon. He didn't answer his wife's question just now.

Floretta understood that Alden was trying to dodge the question. He was tired of urging the man to be honest.

"I can just have an apple, right? My stomach's a little nauseous, nih," Floretta said. He still could not believe every meal that was on the table.

"Well, I'll have the servants bring it, '" Alden said. A few moments later, a servant came, and brought apples, wine and apricots.

"Bfft! She's wearing a garlic necklace?" Floretta could hear the laughter of the waiter from outside.

"Eat it" Alden said later. "I don't want you to faint, because you missed breakfast" he added.

"Alden, am I alive tomorrow morning?" floretta asked in a trembling voice. He had already painstakingly gathered up the courage, to question this.

"Eat first. We'll talk about it again" Alden said, chewing barbeque.

"Please answer me! All this time I endured all the pressure from my uncles and aunts, just for the sake of surviving. I don't want to die here!" Floretta screamed without being able to control herself.

"Excuse me, Your Majesty the King. There's something important I have to say." An assistant suddenly appeared at the door, and interrupted the king's meal.

"Yes, say it" said Alden.

"A visit to the south today was cancelled, as the western provinces were flooded. The people are very short of food. Some of the Council members were already there. And they wanted His Majesty to visit him directly," the assistant reported.

"That's it, huh?" Not immediately believing the news, Alden took his phone, and looked for the latest news.

"alright. Immediately prepare a vehicle to get there along with assistance for the victims. Bring also supplies for the journey, so that my wife does not starve on the road" Alden ordered after confirming the truth.

"Sorry, Your Honor. But the council members forbade Her Royal Highness Princess Floretta to leave. Fear can make a mess there," said the assistant king as he glanced at Floretta.

"Wine! This must be their plan so that Floretta and I can separate. Especially tonight he's going home" Alden Black thought fretfully.

"But I don't want to ignore this disaster either. If I hide Floretta in the car, it's more dangerous because they can smell it" Alden said.

"All right, I'll be down in a minute. You guys get ready first" Alden said later.

"Okay, Your Majesty."

After the king's assistant left, Alden turned to face his wife. The look on his face still showed a sense of uneasiness.

"Dear, listen to me. As for your question, it all depends on you. You won't believe it, the same one you'll see at night. I hope you don't leave the room after sunset" Alden said with a serious look.

"Without being told to, I won't wander around at night" Flo replied coldly. "So it's true that you married me for a drop of blood?" added again.

"Flo, I'm not done talking. I wish we could sleep in one room, so I could take care of you all the time. There will be strange things that ask you at night" Alden said. Both of his eyebrows were clutched, showing a sad look on his face.

"A room with a vampire king like you? Instead I feel relieved, because we use separate rooms" Floretta said quickly.

"Ah, if this is a novel story, I must be the most stupid character because it has brought life to my own prey" said Flo, sighing.

"Darling, listen to me first. I never intended to kill or kill you in the first place. But unfortunately I can't take care of you all the time" Alden said.

The man paused his sentence for a while, then gulped down some water in the glass to wet his throat.

"I think he'll come tonight. If he starts attacking you, immediately go into the room, then light a candle in the corner of the room" continued the vampire king.

"I'll have Leon Hazel, my trusted bodyguard, take care of you. Lily Ivory and Ms. Magenta are coming tonight, too" Alden said.

"Him? Who you mean?" floretta asked increasingly cluelessly. There were too many puzzles surrounding the man.

"He ..."

"Sorry to interrupt the timing, Your Honor. It's time we go, before the road is covered in snow."

A man dressed in black suddenly appeared behind the door, and cut off Alden's conversation with Floretta.

"Yes, all right," said Alden. "Sorry, Flo. I have to go now. Take care of yourself." Alden got up from his chair, then kissed Floretta on the forehead.

"Wait on! You haven't finished the story yet" urged Flo.

"If you're desperate, just call me. I'll be home soon" Alden said, peeping at his wife's forehead. Floretta dodged it quickly.

Alden just knitted his eyebrows together, looking at the wife who kept her distance. The man got up from the dining table and hurried to the door.
