Chapter 25. Suddenly Changed
"Is Her Highness the Princess married to our king because of his wealth?" ask Leon Frontal.
"That's not true, Leon," refuted Floretta who did not accept the accusation.
"Or perhaps His Majesty did indeed tempt our king at all costs? Even with black magic?" ask Leon again.
"Of course not. I never teased any man. And I didn't know her until she suddenly proposed to me" Floretta replied quickly. He felt upset, with the allegations made blatantly by his personal bodyguard.
"Then why is His Majesty puzzling over their words? If you care too much about others, Your Highness Princess' life will never be happy" Leon said with a small laugh.
"But still I feel anxious" Floretta said softly.
"Why does His Majesty feel misgivings with those servants? Whereas against Prince Raven and the thugs alone His Majesty is brave," said Leon cheered Floretta.
"yes too. Why should I be afraid of that waitress? The problems I will face are not only from the servants, but the whole country. In any case if I was afraid, the scent of my blood would attract even more attention," said Floretta.
"I understand the current condition in the palace is very heavy for Her Royal Highness the Princess. But I'm sure, Your Majesty can get through all this well" Leon said, throwing a smile.

Floretta lowered her head. Both of her hands clasped tightly onto her pastel blue skirt. His shoulders moved up and down, along with his heavy breathing.
"Right, His Majesty the King has always been by my side. But I never believed him. What kind of man do I want?" floretta murmur.
"She can cook my favorite food perfectly, too" Floretta said in her heart.

The atmosphere of the palace meeting room with the defense minister was heated up. The agenda of the meeting, which originally discussed domestic military power, now turned into a discussion of the king's personal life.
"I see, you don't like my decision to marry a human. But Floretta is the future queen of this country now" Alden said in response to all the criticism leveled at her.
"But we don't like it, Your Majesty. A queen is naturally to be liked by all people" one military official said.
"There will be no one so perfect, until everyone likes him. My own mother also has a group that hates her," Alden replied in a flat tone.
The sight of the vampire king circulated throughout the room. He could see, all eyes looking at him lightly.
Before marrying Floretta, the vampire king had predicted that things like this would happen. He had prepared himself to face all the criticism, for marrying a man.
"Like it or not, he was already a part of the royal family. So I hope, you respect him like the other nobles," Alden said after a moment of silence.
"Did Your Majesty know? This gesture of His Majesty only made the Amethyst family hurt, because His Majesty the King suddenly married another girl who was not their daughter," some people protested there.
"True, this could lead to a political split," said another.
"I didn't do everything all of a sudden. Our engagement was cancelled five months ago. And Erlina Amethyst has agreed to it" Alden said.
"What's? That's just not possible. Obviously at the time of the engagement Princess Erlina liked Her Majesty the King. There's no way they'd want to just cancel it" some disbelievers argue.
"That's fact. You can ask Erlina yourself," Alden assured.
"Despite that, this cannot be allowed, Your Majesty. We cannot let people live in the palace. Especially being a queen" said one of the generals.
"I don't like violence. I also don't like someone hurting my wife. I hope you all give him a chance to adapt here" Alden said firmly.
"And regarding my marriage, it will be officially discussed at the meeting of the members of the palace council next week" Alden said, ending the meeting that morning.

After the meeting, Alden hurriedly returned to his room and looked for his wife. She felt guilty for leaving Floretta alone, but yesterday the woman had just run away from the palace out of fear for her people.
"I'm okay, really. Government business should come first, right?" said Floretta who was sitting relaxing facing the window. His legs extended forward, and were placed on a small chair.
Lily and several other servants who were with Floretta, immediately withdrew from the room. They left the couple alone in there.
"Yes, anyway. But what are you doing?"
Alden's forehead frowned, looking at the wife's attitude that was not as usual. It was only this time that Floretta was seen relaxing, since moving to the palace. Usually the woman just shut herself in the room, or cling to her all day.
"Oh, I'm in nail care again. Apparently it's fun to also indulge in gini, while watching Asian dramas," Floretta said with a carefree smile.
Florta then turned her body around."Look, my nails are pretty, aren't they?" The tiny woman showed off her pink-colored fingernails.
"Beauty, really. It suits you perfectly," Alden praised as he rubbed Floretta's long hair.
Although he was astonished by the wife's suddenly changed attitude, but he was grateful Floretta seemed all right.
"Oh, yes. Is the road to the borders of the human world still covered in snow?" ask Floretta in a spoiled tone.
Alden's face that looked cheerful, suddenly became gloomy and sad. "The weather there has started to improve, really. But maybe only two or three days to go" Alden replied by forcing a fake smile on his face.
He is sincere, if the wife chooses to separate from him and return to the human world.
"I'm going to have Brayne Brown clean the apartment, before we get there" Alden said.
"Apartment? What's for?" ask Floretta in confusion.
"Loh, you want to go back to the human world, right? Don't you want to go back to your town? I can find a house in another city for you" Alden said.
"Your Majesty, I'm not asking because I want to go home" Floretta said in a spoiled tone.
"Keep why?"
"I just ordered some groceries from the human world. Like bulgogi sauce, cheese, and tropical fruits" Floretta said.
"Do you still want to live here?" alden said he still did not believe it.
"Yes, I made a decision. I'll stay here with you. Is not accompanying the husband in times of grief is the duty of the wife?" floretta said with a serious face.
