"Your Majesty would like to use a long floral pink dress, or midi dress with light blue lace, to accompany His Majesty the King to lunch?" lily asked Floretta who had just finished her bath and was still wearing a kimono towel.
"Why are you lying to me?" floretta said without replying to the servants' questions. His gaze was so cold and intimidating.
"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. We are just following orders from His Majesty the King" Lily said as she bowed her body deeply.
"So the point is you guys are compact to lie to me?" say Floretta again.
"It's not so, Your Majesty."
"Stop calling me 'Your Majesty', Lily. I'm sick of hearing that" Floretta sidestepped. He replaced his towel with a floral dress located on the bed, without the help of the servants.
"So are you and Miss Magenta also vampires?" ask Floretta to his servant again.
"Yes, right," Lily replied with a lowered face.
"Haaah, I deserve to have never seen you eat bread and vegetables. So the red liquid in the fridge is human blood for your breakfast?" Floretta.
"Y-His Majesty still remembers?" Lily was a little surprised by Floretta's confession just now.
"Oh, so you guys purposely made me forget? Do I want you to make dinner?" reply Floretta.
"No, Your Grace. The liquid inside the refrigerator was not human blood, but animal blood. And His Majesty the King never thought to make you prey. Because ..." Lily suddenly stopped her words.
"Because what?" ask Floretta.
"We dare not say it, without the permission of His Majesty the King," Lily said, closing the secret of the vampire king tightly.
"Well, what other secrets are there between them?" thought Floretta was curious.
...🦇🦇🦇...
Geck! Geck! Geck!
"Alden, it's me" said Floretta knocking on the door of her room, which Alden temporarily used.
"Come in" said Alden from within.
The woman from the human race opened the door slowly. He saw Alden was busy behind his laptop, as well as a stack of files to sign.
"Why come here? Your leg is healed?" alden asked with a worried face. The man stood up from his chair, then sat down on the sofa with Floretta.
"Lumayan," said Floretta as he walked in tiptoes. "Do I interfere with your work, Your Majesty?" keep the woman.
Alden was a little surprised to hear his wife calling him "Your Majesty". But a moment later the handsome man smiled again.
"I'm not disturbed, though. Instead, I am happy if the work is accompanied by you," said Alden. "But you came out of the room? Are you not afraid of living here anymore?" ask Alden curiously.
"Who said I wasn't scared anymore? I live in the midst of a race of human predators. But it doesn't look like they're going to attack me anytime soon, because my blood smells bad" Floretta said.
"Ah, sorry. You must have heard the waiters gossip, huh?" alden said apologizing.
"Why are you apologizing?" ask Floretta with a wrinkled face. "I feel a little relieved, even though it is a bit hurt too he heard it. I think I'm talking about that body odor again" Floretta said.
"But Al, I want to ask you one thing. Did any vampires marry humans?" ask Floretta.
Alden raised his face, upon hearing the unexpected question.
"I don't know. But it seems I was the first to marry a human" Alden said.
"If my blood is of no use to you, then why did you marry me? After hearing the servants' words, I became even more confused," Floretta said again.
"What is my job here? I'm not the only one who can finish the fridge, then sleep all day, right?" ask Floretta to urge her husband to be honest.
"Your job here is just to accompany me every day" Alden replied briefly.
"Huh?" floretta muttered while frowning quite deeply.
"You must have heard the story from the servants, right? That I've been eating alone since my parents died?" ask Alden. Floretta also nodded her head.
"I need a friend to talk to and make me comfortable. That's why I chose you as my wife" Alden said, staring warmly at Floretta.
The woman's heart was pounding, upon hearing the answer from her husband. But just a few seconds later, the feeling faded. It could just be that the guy is just flirting, until his wish is achieved, right?"
"If I make you comfortable, then what about your fiancee? Isn't your fiancee a smart woman from the vampire nobility? Is she going to be queen, as the councillors say?" Floretta.
The beautiful woman was not aware, if in her sentence it was tucked in jealousy.
"One day I will explain it to you" Alden said, declining to give an answer to his wife's question.
Floretta only took a deep breath to cover up her disappointment, when she saw her husband's reaction.
"Now I'm taking you back to the room, yeah. You just rest until dinner time" Alden said again.
"We're not done talking, Your Honor, yet" Floretta said, refusing to leave.
"What else is it?" ask Alden softly. His eyes were greenish blue, looking at his wife with affection.
"He's actually good or bad, anyway? Why is it so hard to guess his heart?" Floretta's mind was muddled when she saw her husband's handsome face and alluring smile.
"Why? How silent? I think there's something you want to ask?" said Alden.
"Ah, yes. There is something I want to ask, really," Floretta said hurriedly to regain consciousness. "Why haven't I seen His Majesty Raven since? Does he not live in this palace?" ask Floretta in a whisper.
"Oh, he lives here too, really. Only if during the day his work is just sleeping. You kalong!" said Alden half-grumbled. "Why are you asking? He will not dare to bother you, because there is me here," continued Alden again.
"I was just curious, though. But if I ever see him again, what should I do?" ask Floretta with a serious face.
"Don't fight him. Just treat him like a king" Alden said in a very low tone of voice.
"Why is that? Are you the king here?" floretta was confused.
"When anyone fights him blatantly, Raven only makes him a corpse. No matter what vampire nobility you are" Alden said. Floretta shuddered in horror at hearing that.
"But as long as the person is obedient and beneficial to him, Raven will let him live. So the only way that you can stay in the palace quietly, should make him like your presence here" Alden explained.
"How do I make him like me? With a fellow vampire only he can kill, let alone a human like me?" ask Floretta to the husband.
"I'm sure you can. That's also one of the reasons I brought you here, to soften his frozen heart" Alden replied.
"Huh? Meanin?" Floretta's not getting it.
"Don't think too much, later you will understand by itself, really," said Alden. "Now I'm taking you to the room to rest, yeah. I know, your legs haven't healed yet, have they?" Again Alden was sweet to his wife.
"But my room is here, Your Majesty," Floretta said firmly.
"Oh, right too. Are we sleeping together tonight?" god Alden's.
"Don't, deh. I still want to live to old age. Do not let us sit with the Board Member for sleeping in the room again," Floretta refused firmly.
