Chapter 38. The Queen's Secret
"Lily, please put this in His Majesty's room." Floretta gave orders to Lily, pointing towards a tightly closed tray.
Lily turned her gaze to Floretta who looked sour-faced. "Okay, Your Majesty," Floretta replied. He immediately performed the ordered task immediately, though his heart wondered.
"What's going on? Looks like Her Highness Princess's face looks even more upset, compared to when she just found out about our identity?" lily thought worried and scared.
"Oh yes, Lily. After delivering that, you directly came back here, yes. Take Miss Magenta too" Floretta ordered without a smile. His tone sounded a little slender, inversely proportional to his usual attitude.
"Well, Your Majesty," Lily replied with a thumping heart. Floretta looks spooky tonight.
A few moments later.
"His Majesty called us both?" said Mrs Magenta while giving her greetings.
"Yes, sit. I just wanted to talk to you guys, eat this snack," Floretta said, shaking a few packets with a small smile.
Floretta's tone of voice had returned soft as usual. She also changed her dress to a nightgown.
"Chat?" ask Lily and Magenta at the same time.
"Yes. That weird?" floretta said as she took the two servants to sit together on the sofa.
"It's pretty weird, anyway. Where there is a waiter who has a casual chat with his master, Your Majesty," replied Ma Magenta.
Floretta did not immediately reply to the senior servant's sentence. The princess's little fingers, opened a packet of potato chips, and placed it in the middle of the table. With an eye gesture, he offered both of his servants to force the micin-filled snack.
"Actually I feel sad, because Alden is not open to me." Floretta begins the story, without asking for approval from her servant again.
"He never told me about his family and his kingdom. I got confused, had to stay here as a queen, or go back to the human world. Then, I also have no one to talk to" Floretta continued.
"Your Majesty, please do not leave His Majesty the King. Since meeting Her Highness the Princess, the King's attitude has changed a lot." Ms. Magenta hurriedly replied to Floretta's sentence.
"Oh yeah? But I was so curious, what were Alden's parents like, that they could have two beautiful sons?" floretta said, luring the servants to talk.
"His Majesty King Adellard Black is a great and wise king. During his time under his leadership, this kingdom was very prosperous," Bu Magenta replied.
"Then Her Majesty Queen Selene Blanche, is a very dewy and well mannered woman. It's hard to describe how her personality, maybe angelic, is" Lily added.
"Oh yeah? All this time I've only seen them from his pictures, anyway. Her Majesty the Queen looks very beautiful. I agree that she was said to be an angel" Floretta said.
His thin, bulging cheeks were filled with potato chips. The graceful and meek attitude that the noble ladies should have displayed, disappeared instantly. The woman felt very hungry, as it was off dinner.
"But Her Majesty the Queen is very special because ..." Ma'am Magenta dismissed his words in the middle, making Floretta even more curious.
"Because he's human?" chirp Floretta guessing.
Bu Magenta and Lily compactly shook her head.
"No, but because Her Majesty can't drink human blood. He was once considered a disabled vampire, because it was different from other vampire nations, ", Lily explained.
"Really?" Floretta's two eyes grew bigger, when he heard that sentence. Now he knows where Alden's nature came from that can't drink human blood.
"I promise" Floretta said quickly, pointing her little finger.
"But I wonder, why is it that the king is Alden, and not Prince Raven?" Floretta brought her body closer to Lily and Magenta, then spoke in a very low tone.
"Since childhood, His Highness Raven was quite arrogant. His bad nature was increasingly visible when he was a teenager. He didn't even hesitate to kill humans, just for the sake of showing off his strength" whispered Bu Magenta, glancing left and right. He is afraid that someone will hear or record human speech.
"God! It's hideous! Don't you think the threat of her time in the library is real?" exciting Floretta.
"Your Majesty please lower your voice. We can be in danger, if someone hears it" Ms Magenta warned.
"Okay, sorry," Floretta replied. "Then what happens next?" the woman asked, still curious.
"After deliberating with the palace's advisory council, they were forced to decide that the position of crown prince be given to His Highness Prince Alden. Though at that time His Majesty was still a dozen years old." Magenta continued his story.
"They are afraid that there will be a lot of bloodshed with humans, if His Highness Prince Raven rises to become King" Lily added.
"Hmm, so is that it? But I'm still confused, what was the reason Alden chose me?" floretta murmur.
Lily and Ma Magenta looked at each other. They don't know the reason.
Drrrtt! Suddenly Floretta's HP lit up. He received a message from an unknown number.
"Greetings, Your Highness Princess Floretta. This is Edmund, the chairman of the palace council. Representing all members of the board, we are waiting for a marriage annulment approval letter. We've only given you one week."
After reading the short message, Floretta opened the closet and picked up the envelope with paper inside. He was pensive for quite a while, staring at the black ink printed on the paper.
"One week is too long. I'll hand you this paper tomorrow morning, at seven o'clock. I hope you're not too late" Floretta replied moments later.
Just five seconds later, Edmund Grey's balassn message was received by Floretta.
"Has Your Majesty thought about it? We didn't give this opportunity twice" Edmund wrote in his message.
"You don't have to doubt me. I thought about it well, and made a decision" Floretta said.
"Mom Magenta, can you dress me up like a queen?" ask Floretta suddenly.
"Eh, of course you can, Your Majesty. But I don't know His Majesty's clothing tastes" Magenta replied.
He was surprised, because Floretta asked for an unusual thing.
"That's not necessary. Anyway free to use any dresses and accessories. What matters is that I look beautiful as a queen" Floretta said. "I have an important meeting tomorrow morning at seven" he continued.
"Okay, Your Majesty," replied Magenta.
"Huh, I need to sort this out as soon as possible. Now all I need is a pen for signature" the woman murmured inwardly.
