"So she's His Majesty's chosen woman? Why is his taste so low, anyway?"
The servants along the corridor whispered to each other, as Floretta walked towards the room. They didn't even care about the feelings of Floretta, who could clearly hear their chatter.
"I don't understand His Majesty's choice. I think she chose this chick because of her beauty, or the delicious taste of her blood. But apparently the smell alone made me nauseous. It must have been bad" said a waiter, looking down at Floretta.
The wife of the vampire king suddenly stopped her footsteps. "Huh? My blood smells bad?" Somehow Flo was a little happy to hear that phrase. Shouldn't he be offended called a foul stench?
"Your Majesty, please ignore their words" whispered Leon Hazel, the young man escorting Floretta.
"Huufff..." Floretta exhaled carbon dioxide through his nose, and continued his steps.
"But pity me, deh. Just married two days have been left alone in this castle. Especially the crazy one's coming home tonight" whispered the waiters again.
"Well right too. Just smelling the scent of a cockroach already made His Majesty Raven blind, let alone a human with that disgusting blood?" the other timpal.
"Your Majesty Raven? Is he what Alden meant?" think Floretta in the heart. "Ah, wait! Name's Raven? It means he's Alden's brother, right?" Floretta became a little curious about the mysterious figure of her brother-in-law.
"Ah, I think tomorrow morning we should prepare a black dress for the funeral" they whispered with a mocking laugh.
"Stop! I can hear everything! And no one will die tonight. I guarantee it!" said Floretta with a snapping tone.
The man then moved his feet even faster, to quickly get into the room.
"Your Majesty, I'm in the next room. If there is anything immediately call me by phone," Leon said, bowing his body to pay his respects.
"Yes, thank you," Flo replied without a smile on her face.
...🦇🦇🦇...
"God! I overslept!"
Floretta glanced towards the window. The sky looked dark. Meanwhile, the clock on his phone shows eight o'clock at night.
Seen a few missed calls from Alden on his phone. There was also a short message sent by the king.
"You're okay, right? I'll try to go home tonight, too" Alden wrote.
"Help ... Whether she comes home soon or not, I'll stay with hundreds of vampires here" Floretta said.
Crutches! The woman's stomach felt wrapped around. He felt the liquid inside his stomach was full. His stomach has been beeping for filling.
"I didn't eat breakfast this morning, did I? Stupid me. I should've taken the fruits to my room."
The woman regretted her haughty attitude. Now he was confused, how to fill his starving stomach. But the servants could not enter, for he locked the door tightly.
Floretta's gaze stopped when he saw a large refrigerator in the corner of the room.
"This is normal food, right? Not human blood or bodies? Since when is there a refrigerator here? Did they put it in when Alden and I had breakfast?"
With trembling hands, Floretta opened the two-door refrigerator slowly.
"God! Th-this really?"
Florta's mouth was gaping wide, seeing that the refrigerator was filled with various types of fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs and milk.
"It turns out Alden's been preparing this for me?" The woman was slightly moved by the attention the vampire king gave her.
Geck! Geck! Geck! Floretta didn't open it. He took out a fruit knife from beside the refrigerator for his weapon.
Geck! Geck! Geck! The door to his room was back on tap.
"When did you lock yourself in there? Quickly open it, before I break it!" I heard a man talking behind the door.
"Alden's? He's gone home apparently."
Floretta hid the knife under her shirt, then moved to open the door.
A man with an angry expression, stood right in front of Floretta's room door. The man was seen wearing a black shirt and pants, then overlaid with a cream-colored sweater. The man's jawline seemed to harden, and his long fangs were clearly visible.
"A-alden? Why did he turn so bad?" I think Floretta's confused. The woman tried to close the door of her room, to block the man from entering.
"Well, you're trying to get away from me apparently."
The man moved quickly, and held back the door from closing. While his left hand grabbed the knife that Floretta had hidden behind his shirt, and threw it away.
"Your smell is so rotten! Interferes with my smell. Why would you dare stay in this castle and disturb my security, anyway? As punishment, you must die" said the man. His long canine teeth, making floretta's neck feel sore.
"Wait on! He's not Alden. Who is he then? Raven's the crazy one?"
Floretta could feel her knees so limp, as if unable to support her body anymore. Plus not eating all day, making Floretta's energy at its lowest point.
"Wine! Though Alden had reminded me, so as not to go out of the room at night and open the door carelessly. Now what do I have to do?" thought Floretta was panicking.
"Why are you silent there? You don't want to take me inside?"
Both of the men's eyes were rounded. Step by step, he approached Floretta.
"Please don't kill me" Floretta said.
His voice sounded raucous and trembling. His eyes glanced left and right in search of objects he could use as weapons. But his head suddenly fell, unable to think of anything.
"Please! Anyone help me!" Floretta, who was in a desperate situation, finally shouted for help.
The atmosphere looks lonely. There was no sight of the servants passing by as usual. Even Leon who was given the task to look after Floretta was not visible to the nose. There was only the echo of Floretta's voice in the hallway.
"Where is everyone? Is it eight o'clock at night? Are they afraid of this crazy guy? Or intentionally?" thought Floretta was worried.
"Huh? You want to ask for help? Haha ... Who is here to help you!" The man laughed out loud.
This is Floretta's chance to escape. He shut the door and hid behind a closet.
Brak! The door opened violently. The man went inside with glowing red eyes. His expression was more terrifying than earlier.
"Where are you going, you? Our business is not finished. You have to die tonight. No queen, until I become king."
The man stepped foot quickly towards Floretta.
"Why doesn't this guy give up, anyway? Said my blood smells bad?" Floretta kept looking for something around him, which could be used as a tool to fight the man.
The terrible man had reached Floretta, then strangled her neck strongly.
Bugh! Floretta kicked the man's vital parts with all her might. Turns out the kick was pretty powerful. The man released his hand grip on Floretta's neck and grimaced in pain.
"This is my second chance to escape! This time it can't fail!"
Floretta opened the window. His chest rippled to see the palace garden located far below.
"Well, why does my room have to be on the third floor, anyway? I could die if I jumped down!"
The pale-skinned woman looked back. The man who was the victim of his kick earlier was still grimacing in pain. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, Floretta stretched the curtain out the window, then went down with the help of the cloth.
"I'd rather die from a fall than die in the hands of those vampires!" his mind in the heart.
Grasak!
Floretta could feel all his nerves stiffening and sending out pain signals, as his body landed on the grass of the palace garden.
"Yeah! Holy hooch! How come he's here?"
Floretta could not hide her surprise, as she looked at the pair of black shoes and trousers before her. Though he himself had just landed a few seconds in the middle of the palace garden.
