"P-Paul!?" Naomi stutters after Paul hangs up his phone with Gina - one of Luna's most famous pimps - after an agreement between the two sides has been reached. "You're not drunk, are you!?"
"Why, huh!?" It seemed that Paul was still being angry, evident from his irritated frowning facial expression. "I don't like the way he talks! That woman underestimated me! I hate being trifled up like that!"
"But!" Naomi screeched with a restless face. "Why should it be 500 million!? Isn't that too big? I don't care if you have the money or not, but all I think about is," Naomi bit her lip. "You're going to spend 500 million just to hire a girl in one night!? Even if you are just pretending, but still if the transaction business, you must pay!"
"If I hadn't, that damn woman would have kept underestimating me!"
"But you don't have to do that crazy thing!"
"That's none of your business! What paid is me anyway! Not you!"
"Stay away! I don't like to hear you squandering that much money just for-"
"Excuse meiiiiii!" Cherry immediately shrieked in a very loud voice, making Naomi and Paul turn his attention to the little girl. "You can't fight here!? Look, deh! Everyone in this cafe is distracted by your voices! Cherry was also distracted, you know! So, rather than fighting! Better spend those parfait-parfait! If not! Cherry will devour your parfait with one gulp!"
Thanks to Cherry's words, Naomi and Paul finally fell silent, and realized that they had made the always calm cafe so rowdy by the quarrel. Cherry, Paul and Noami, slowly, spent each other's parfait until it was not left.
"So? What's that pimple? Cherry was curious about the name, you know!"
Cherry asked Paul and Naomi after the three of them were walking on the sidewalk, to continue the trip that had paused, even though the destination was somewhere.
"The key is a kind of person who acts as a nanny, an intermediary, or in other words, an owner of a sex worker" Naomi replied, explaining something Cherry still doesn't understand. "Maybe a simple term like the boss of all the whores."
"Oooooh!? I see, huh!? Waw! Cherry just found out that whores have bosses too! Cherry thought, those prostitutes are wild workers, stand alone, and unattached, turns out they're not like that, huh!? Cherry's guess is wrong! Hihihihi!"
"No," Naomi again said, "Cherry's guess is right. Sometimes there are some prostitutes who are not tied into any group. He works of his own accord, without being regulated by anyone. But such prostitutes usually lose out to the whores who have bosses, because their bosses have great connections, leaving his whores never once unemployed. That's how it was, according to my teacher when I was in school."
Paul kicked the drink can lying in front, making it hit the wall, making a deafening noise. Cherry and Naomi notice Paul.
"No!" Paul stuffed his two arms into a bag of pants, and walked in such a style. "I'm just thinking about how I can get 500 million dollars a night!"
Naomi and Cherry are shocked to hear this. From his words alone, they can guess correctly, if Paul currently does not have 500 million in his pants pocket or in his account. In other words, Paul, foolishly, had eaten the bait that Gina Orcadelia had made. Maybe that is the job of a pimper, trying to get his customers to pay a high price, through a little talk, seduction, or even innuendo. And Paul has become one of thousands of customers who move according to the will of Gina Orcadelia.
A really sneaky woman, Paul thought.
"So that means," Naomi flicked her steps, her face looking expressionless, filled with a terrible void. "You've made a decision that even you can't afford to pay for?" Naomi took a strong breath, then exhaled slowly. Then Naomi held Paul's right wrist. "Follow me." Naomi pulls Paul off the sidewalk to a place, and seeing that, Cherry follows them from behind.
After entering a narrow-thrust alley of two tall buildings-Naomi releases her grip on Paul's wrist, then he turns his body to face toward Paul. Paul raises his eyebrows, astonished by Naomi's behavior.
"Why did you bring me here? I'm busy thinking about-"
"Busy what?" Naomi immediately cut Paul's words without excuse, leaving the man shocked. "Busy dealing with your inability to make decisions, is it?" Cherry and Paul were wide-eyed to hear it, as if Naomi was currently furious. "You also know that 500 million is not a small number. Everyone knows that 500 million is a huge number. And," Naomi looked at Paul's eyes very closely, like a predator watching the movements of its prey. "... You want 500 million to just show up in your hands? In overnight?" Suddenly Naomi immediately slapped Paul's cheek very tight, even the sound of her slap to buzz in the narrow alley. Cherry was jumped to watch her mentor being slapped by Naomi, so sadistically, that Paul's head was blown to the side.
Naomi suddenly shouted with unusually large bulging eyes. "YOU'RE REALLY IMMORAL!" As she said so, Naomi's tears broke, flowing fiercely, past her two cheeks and falling onto the muddy ground of the alley. "Not know yourself! You idiot! Sloppy! Be fat! It's useless! Disgust! No brain! There is no heart!" Naomi spouted all the curses with eyes that wept at Paul. "How now!? If Aunt Elena knew about this! He's gonna faint! Anyway! You can't ask anyone for help! You have to pay 500 million! WITH YOUR OWN SWEAT!"
Hearing that, Paul rubbed his left cheek that was still painful, then he immediately replied to Naomi's words. "Who do you think I am?" paul said with a slanted smile. "I never threw my personal problems at my mother, not once. No matter what the burden, I will handle it alone. I'm not a loser with every problem, complaining to family. So," Paul patted Naomi on the shoulder twice, then walked away. "Don't worry about me."
After Paul was gone from his presence, Naomi dropped her two knees on the muddy ground of the alley, and she squeezed her black robe tightly, crying her way there.
"Why is Naomi crying?" cherry asked after Paul came out of the alley, and was standing while leaning his back against the wall of a building. "What's going on?"
"There's nothing" said Paul, folding his arms and showing his creepy-looking flat face. "He was just thinking about something he shouldn't be thinking, stupid indeed - but really, want to be seen at all," Paul raised his two arms, stretched his somewhat dark muscles and shouted, "THIS TOWN IS TOO NOISY!"
"Whispering?" Suddenly appeared a woman with long red hair, slim body, wearing a very tight short red dress, showing off her cleavage, buttocks, and smooth thighs. The woman was walking gracefully to the location of Paul and Cherry, with her right hand carrying a clutch - a type of bag without a strap, which was shaped like a purse but was large - whose color matched the dress. "What's noisy? This town? This street? This alley? Or perhaps," As she neared, she stuck her neck into Paul's ear and whispered, ".. This breath of mine?"
