MINERVO 48: I'm Happy

When Paul, Nico, and Colin arrive at a large, wet grass field in Cocoa City, they were surprised by the presence of a burly man who suddenly appeared behind while covering them with a large umbrella he held. The man did not wear any clothes, he only wore shorts, making his mighty athletic body clearly visible. The man also had very black skin, but even so, his face was too handsome, so Paul, Nico, and Colin were also greatly outdone when compared to his good looks. Her hair was gray, her eyes dark brown, her nose pointed, and her lips thin. What a beautiful man.

However, Colin did not think so, he was even afraid to see the figure, because in his mind, the man was a bad person. Just imagine, when you were in the middle of a field in the rush of rain, suddenly appeared a bare-chested person who was holding you from behind, wasn't that terrible enough? And what if that person pretends to be nice and friendly to you, but it turns out he has an alibi in his good actions. Somehow, Colin so no longer know what to do if the naked man who is fond of him will act the same as he thought.

But Nico had told Colin that the burly man was not a bad man, because he had shaded them in the cold rain. But still, Colin did not listen to what Nico said, because according to him, there was no truly good person in this world. Everyone must have a reason in his good attitude, and Colin also thought that the burly man was not much different from other humans. He must have had his reasons for his actions against Colin, Nico, and Paul. The point is Colin thinks the burly man is a bad person.

But, Colin's shock didn't get there, because suddenly, Paul exclaimed beside him in a very loud voice. "This guy..., you're Abbas, right!?"

Nico, Colin, and the burly man were shocked to hear what Paul was calling. They all put on shocked faces with different expressions. Nico did not believe that such a coincidence could happen so quickly, when they had just arrived in Cocoa City, and Paul had found the hero he was looking for, in fact, it was the hero who came to them. Nico was really impressed by this incident. While Colin did not think that way, he was astonished to hear Paul's exclamation.

It's not good, it's not good.

Why should this weird guy be the next hero. Why not just anyone else? Colin felt something was wrong with the burly man. Just look, he doesn't wear clothes in this kind of bad weather, is he one of the species that has a body resistant to cold? It's Impossible! Or is he deliberately not wearing clothes because he wants to show off the muscles of his fitness training for months so that it can be enjoyed by everyone? That's too ridiculous! Colin had not realized that his face was currently paled completely when he thought of it all.

While Abbas was shocked because the people he helped turned out to have known his name, even though he had not been able to introduce himself but the three men already knew his real name, Abbas was confused what to say. Finally, Abbas was only able to give a faint smile to the three of them, happy that the people had recognized him. So, Abbas did not bother to explain who he was to them, because he thought, they must have known more about him.

"D-He's smiling!" Colin was stifled to see Abbas's expression suddenly smiling at them, it was very, very terrible. As Colin expected, Abbas must have an alibi in his good actions. Therefore, Colin had to quickly tell Paul before his mentor was caught in a trap by Abbas. "Hey, Paul!" colin whispered in Paul's ear with a roaring breath. "You're sure this guy's our new hero? W-Isn't he scary enough? I mean, look at his face, he suddenly smiled at us! That's so weird, isn't it? I don't think this guy is our new hero, you must be the wrong guy, Paul."

Hearing the whisper from Colin, Paul snorted in annoyance. "Just shut up!" sergeant Paul nudged Colin's chin until the man staggered slightly back. "My instincts are never wrong! I'm sure a hundred percent! That this man is Abbas! She smiled because she was glad that a stranger called her name!" Paul looked at Abbas. "Really, right!?"

With a still smiling face, Abbas nodded his head, responding to Paul's words. "But" Now Nico is speaking. "Why did you suddenly come to see us, carrying an umbrella this big, as if you knew we were bound to pass this way?" Nico's question was quite reasonable in Colin and Paul's ears, but it was very unreasonable in Abbas's ears.

Abbas thought he did not need to answer the question, because his arrival to meet them was not planned as if he knew they were going to walk around the fields. In reality, Abbas had just left from somewhere, and was about to return to his home. And coincidentally, he saw three men walking in the middle of the field without an umbrella at all, as a result of which their bodies were drenched in rain, feeling pity, Abbas's steps accelerated in order to get close to them. After getting close enough, Abbas immediately moved the umbrella he held towards the three men. And finally, they came face to face. Thus, the original chronology. But unfortunately, Abbas could not explain something as detailed as that, so he just shook his head in response to the question.

Watching Abbas shake his head, Paul said with a very irritated face, "From now on, you just moved your head, you can actually say no, huh!?" Colin and Nico thought so, and they wondered why Abbas would not raise his voice to answer all the questions that were directed at him.

Again Abbas just nodded his head, as a sign that he replied 'yes, I can talk'. But it did not make things good, on the contrary, Paul was even more annoyed to see his question only answered with a nod of the head. Paul shouted, "If you can talk, talk! Goddamn bum!"

Abbas immediately shook his head quickly to hear Paul's words, as a sign that he replied 'no, I'm not ready to speak now', making Paul's irritation even more explosive. "Could it be you, this" Colin ventured to speak to Abbas. "a quiet person?" Suddenly, Abbas' expression seemed happy to hear Colin's words. "Eh? Is my guess right?"

Seeing the reaction of Abbas who looked happy, Nico immediately responded to Colin's words. "It seems so," said Nico in a soft tone. "From his expression, he said that your guess was correct, he was indeed someone who could speak, but was too reluctant to speak, that was the definition of a quiet person in my opinion."

"That's it, yeah." Colin nodded his head, beginning to understand what Nico explained. "But hey! How long are we standing here!? We better find a comfortable place to talk!"

Abbas, who was walking at the very front, continued to smile, not being bothered in the slightest at the commotion behind him. Abbas was happy because he was finally able to return home accompanied by that many people. It had been a long time since he had been exiled from the residents of Cocoa City to live alone. Abbas is very happy to meet the likes of Paul, Nico and Colin. Because usually, all the people he met must immediately stay away from him, and assume that his existence is undesirable on the face of this earth. Abbas is sad to remember that.

The rain was still falling very heavily, and it did not seem like it would subside until at any moment. That's the fate that happened in Cocoa City, because this region is an area filled with cloudy, that's why it rains all the time, and it has become something common for the natives of Cocoa City.

When they reached the front of a rickety hut in a corner of a very quiet field, Paul, Colin, and Nico were shocked, as Abbas suddenly flicked his steps by turning his body. Then, with a faint smile imprinted on his face, he swung his right hand towards the hut, as if welcoming the three of them into his house.

"Is-This your house?" After understanding Abbas's intentions, Colin immediately asked the question to determine whether his guess was right or wrong. "B-But why is your home so far from the city center? What makes you have to live in a quiet place like this? And why do you have to live in a building like that?" Suddenly Colin gasped at his own words, because unconsciously, his speech sounded like words of contempt towards Abbas, Nico and Paul were shocked to hear it. Therefore, Colin hastily corrected his words. "No! I didn't mean to insult you, I was just wondering why you didn't live with the other residents in the city center! Really am! Forgive me if my words offend you! But I have absolutely no intention to demean you!"

Abbas shook his head with a smile, as if he was saying, 'it's okay, I'm not bothered by your words'. And for some reason, Colin was relieved to see Abbas shaking his head. Then, Abbas's smile suddenly faded, his eyes began to fade.

"You why!?" Paul wondered why Abbas' expression had changed. Colin and Nico were curious about it.

Suddenly, Abbas raised his left arm, which on his wrist was a circular red bracelet. As Paul, Nico, and Colin squinted their eyes to look at the number written on the bracelet, the three of them, simultaneously, were shocked to death.

That's because the number written on Abbas's bracelet shows 0.1, which means the rest of his life is one more month before the bracelet explodes in his hand.

"Now I understand why you live in such a deserted place!" colin said with a pale face.

Nico nodded his head. "Yes, you could say, Abbas had been exiled from the townspeople, to live in this place alone, so that when the bracelet exploded, the explosion did not cause any problems to others."

Hearing all this, Paul immediately grabbed the umbrella held by Abbas, and brutally, he broke it to pieces in front of its owner. Colin, Nico, and Abbas were shocked by what Paul was doing.

Then, with jaws clapping, eyes bulging, veins protruding, and hands clenched firmly, Paul exclaimed at Abbas, "Why are you silent when the world throws you away like that! Goddamn bum! You shouldn't have to obey their will to make you live in a deserted place like this! You have the right to live with others!" Paul growling. "Fuck that fucking red bracelet! If they are afraid of explosions! Why don't they just work together to eliminate the explosion that's going to happen in your bracelet! Not even banishing and alienating you in a place like this! They're all real BASTARDS!"

Abbas did not understand why Paul was so angry after seeing the rest of the time written on his bracelet. Whereas, Abbas thought they were going to stay away from him, as the townspeople did to him, after he showed them the rest of his time, but it was not like that. Paul, Nico, and Colin even look shocked and furious at the people who alienated Abbas just because of the issue of a bracelet that could explode.

Until finally, Abbas reflexively, issued his very manly baritone voice, leaving Paul, Nico, and Colin shocked upon hearing it.

"I'm happy." Abbas smiled faintly. "Thank you."
