"Uwaah! Apparently true! Lots of snow here!"
When the bus they were riding on got onto the streets of Vineas City, the weather started to change, which was once bright and scorching hot, becoming very cold and filled with snowflakes coming down from the sky. Cherry who looked at the snow coming down from the window glass, screeching merrily, she banged her glass so excited. While his friends are engrossed in his own world; Jeddy looks serious watching a movie on his phone, Paul closes his eyes while listening to music through ear sounds in his chair, and Colin is playing a simulation game on his phone. What a less harmonious friendship, that was the thought of the other passengers who glanced towards the four of them.
"Cold" Colin said after the four of them got off the bus, landing on the snow-covered land of Vineas. The air was very cold, even though they were wearing jackets, the cold was still suffocating, until Colin hugged his own body to feel warm. "Hey, Paul," As Colin was breathing and talking, there was a puff of smoke coming out of his nostrils and mouth. "What kind of a hero is this town? Is he a man? Or women?"
Paul's eyeballs glanced at Colin's face, with an intimidating aura. "What are you asking that for?" paul answered in a very cold tone. But Colin was used to it, because compared to Jeddy and Cherry, he was the one who knew Paul first. That's why, calmly, Colin immediately chimed in on Paul's answer.
"Of course because I'm curious about the hero of this city, I hope he's not as silly as Jeddy or as weird as Cherry" Colin said deliberately offending Jeddy and Cherry who were standing next to him. Hearing his name called with a satirical tone, making Cherry immediately fall into dark mode. The girl grabbed Colin by the back, lowered her head, made her pink strands fall, and she said,
"Cherry also wished the hero of this city, "Suddenly Cherry lifted her head and revealed a terrible grin to Colin. "...not as cowardly as you! Hihihihi!" It made Colin surprised to see it. After saying that, Cherry let go of her grip and returned to her carefree mode. "Ups! Looks like Cherry has scared Colin away, huh!? Ow hell! Sorry, yaaa! Hihihi!"
"Whisper, you!" Paul who heard the quarrel between Colin and Cherry beside him, was disturbed, he spoke with a heavy tone. "From you guys constantly babbling, you better follow me." And Paul began to set foot, leaving the bus stop where he stopped in the city of Vineas. Colin, Cherry, and Jeddy walk behind Paul, following his mentor away somewhere.
Although it was still morning, it felt like it was already night, because the sky in Vineas City looked gray, like a cloudy sky. All the places in Vineas City also the lights are always brightly lit, because if not, then the atmosphere of the city may be very dark. Paul could see a lot of snow piled on the roofs of buildings, houses, cars, streets, and shops. Not to mention the very cold air conditions, until Paul was astonished why residents in the City of Vineas could feel at home living in a place like this. Because according to Paul, it would be annoying if every day he had to wear a super thick jacket just to go out of the house. Paul would rather move out of town than live in a cold climate like this.
But strangely, as Paul walked down the city of Vineas, he could see that all the pedestrians here looked normal, even though they were wearing thick clothes, they continue to move like people in the city in general. The trees here also look dry, without any leaves that decorate it, there are only some that stand firmly on the side of the road.
"Haha!" Jeddy began to let out his trademark laugh when he finished observing the atmosphere of Vineas City which was quite different from other cities. "After I looked around, somehow, I wanted to stay here, Bro!" Hearing Jeddy's words, Paul flicked his steps, Colin and Cherry stopped. Later, Paul turned his gaze to Jeddy.
"What makes you interested in living in this fucking city? Jeddy?" paul asked in a more relaxed tone than usual, making Jeddy happy to hear it. Finally Paul can be relaxed when talking to him, Jeddy so happy.
Then, with an overabundance of zeal, Jeddy began to speak, "Well, you know, right? Since I was a kid living in the very arid city of Groen, I always dreamed of living in a cold, snow-filled city, Bro! Ahaha! Because the season in Groen City is only two, summer and rainy season only, it is very boring, right, Bro! Hehe!"
"If you say so," Colin chimed in on Jeddy's talk by turning his eyeballs bored. "That means you're also lowering our house, Jeddy. You know, right? The distance between Swart City - where I live and Paul - and Groen City - where you live - is pretty close, so you could say our city is neighboring, and they have the same season, too, just hot and rain. So when you say that two seasons are boring, you indirectly also say that the Swart City season is boring, right, right, Paul?"
"Four seasons?" Cherry smiled sweetly hearing that. "Know no? Poppe City has four seasons, loooh! If Paul really wants to live in a city that has four seasons, how about just move to Poppe City! Later Cherry will show you cute places that have never been visited by Paul there! Hihihi!"
For some reason, hearing Cherry mention the name of Poppe City, made Paul remember an environment filled with disgusting pink. Paul wants to vomit if he remembers. "Of course it's not Poppe City that's my dream place! Goddamn bum!" Later, Paul goes back on his way, ignoring Cherry's squealing, Jeddy's laughter, and Colin's grievances.
Until finally, they arrived in front of a tall building called the 'Giant Library of Vineas City' which was located in the city center, close to very crowded shopping places. "We've arrived" said Paul with a flat face. "I feel like our hero is in this library, let's check, let's go in!" However, when Paul was about to push through the library door, Colin immediately made a sound.
"Wait a minute!" colin shouted in a loud voice, causing Paul, Jeddy, and Cherry to turn her attention to the blue hair. "Before you say that, should you tell us what the characteristics of the hero are, Paul? Haven't you explained it to us yet? Comeon! For this time, give us some information, Paul! So we can go find that guy inside!"
Sighing his breath, Paul immediately answered him quickly, "Remember this! He was a white-haired man, white-skinned, white-lipped, and dressed all in white." After explaining it, Paul went straight into the library, leaving Colin, Jeddy, and Cherry still shocked to hear his explanation.
"Why should it be white?" colin asked Jeddy and Cherry on his left, just after Paul had disappeared from before them. "Emm. but come to think of it, it feels like all the heroes chosen by Paul always have their own distinctive colors. Like me who likes blue, Jeddy who always wears green trinkets, and Cherry who often wears pink dresses."
"Haha! Right too, Bro! I just realized about it! But it sounds funny, bro! Ahaha!" Jeddy was heartbroken to hear Colin's words that seemed true but ridiculous.
"Cherry doesn't really like pink! But since Cherry was born in Poppe City, so Cherry inevitably has to love the pink color! Because if Cherry shows a dislike for pink, then Cherry will be considered disgrace by the people in Poppe City! Hihihihi!"
"It turns out that every city has its own strange rules, yes" Colin said, curling his eyebrows, glancing at Cherry. Then Colin began to lift his legs to enter the library, followed by Jeddy and Cherry.
After Colin, Jeddy, and Cherry entered, they were greeted with a quiet atmosphere typical of the library, which was heard there only the sounds of open pages of books, the sound of a wall clock, and the sound of a clock, the footprints of a few pacing people, and small chatter. There were many thickly dressed people who entered the library just to read the story books there. However, what surprised the three of them was not all that, but Paul who was standing near the bookshelf, faced with an eye-glazed man who had a strand of white hair, white, white, and wearing white long sleeves and white trousers, Colin, Jeddy, and Cherry looked up at him.
"You're Nico, right?" paul asked in a lowered voice, for his current position was within the library. Hearing his name suddenly mentioned by a stranger he just met, made the man with glasses grunt in dislike of Paul.
"How dare a dirty delinquent like you mention my birth name carelessly here?" Nico fixed his glasses that were about to go down, then he smiled obliquely. "But okay, I'll understand your stupid attitude. After all, a trashy human like you can't get a good education. So I think, manners and manners, are not necessary when talking to the trash of society like you."
