MINERVO 11: Red Women

"Then, where's your family?"

As Jeddy's smile grew, he chuckled a little. Then, casually, Jeddy said, "I'm sure you'll be shocked to hear this, but fine, I'll say," pause for a moment, then Jeddy continued his words. "My father was the leader of the Mad Goat group, my mother was the representative, I had no siblings. But all the members of the Mad Goat are my close relatives. And the man I shot next to you was one of my relatives."

Paul was shocked to hear, he did not expect that the source of the chaos in Groen City was caused by his family Jeddy. But, there was something still awkward here, Paul hurriedly asked.

"Your own family is a Mad Goat!? What a bastard they are! Actually, what is your family's goal with taking control of Groen City!? I was curious, damn it! And why don't you join your family in the Mad Goat!?"

Chuckling, Jeddy could not bear to see Paul's look of shock that looked ridiculous. She felt all the tension in her heart so it began to relax after meeting Paul. According to Jeddy, Paul's grumpy figure makes him have material to laugh at, because the angry person is easy to clever.

But it seems Jeddy is starting to try to answer Paul's question even though it is interspersed with a small laugh. "Haha! That expression! Haha! Okay-okay, all right, I'll answer your question," Jeddy flicked his laugh, then looked Paul in the eye seriously. "So, my father was a regular office worker, and my mother was a regular housewife. But, as there were incidents of people mysteriously disappearing, people began to suspect it was my family's doing, because in fact my family was purely the descendant of a famous kidnapper and murderer of his day. Therefore, all those who have a blood relationship with my family are considered to be the masterminds of the disappearance of the people in Groen City.

At first, my father did not blame him much. But, gradually, the community became more and more crazy, even to trivial things. For example, the teachers at my school forbid their students to interact with me, in order to avoid unwanted things. Then, my father also received such treatment in his office, as well as my mother who was treated harshly while visiting markets, supermarkets, and such. My relatives also get the same treatment in their home environment.

That's why, my father began to assume the morale of the people in Groen City was damaged. There must be someone who guides the corrupt society, so that they can return to be a good moral society. And silly, my father proudly, took the initiative to be that figure. My father also invited his family to join the community, and only I refused, because I did not like to get involved with such strange things. Haha!"

After explaining all that to Paul, Jeddy showed no seriousness at all. Jeddy laughed, laughing at Paul's expression, which became even more funny because of shock. Really a relaxed person, that's what Paul thinks of Jeddy's attitude.

If Paul is in Jeddy's position, he may be worried, agitated, and disoriented, because society hates his family. And his family took control of the city using a strange ideology, making the atmosphere of the city look like a dead city, which has been abandoned by its inhabitants. Paul was sure, he would be upset, angry and irritated if it happened to his life. But look at Jeddy, the man who seemed to like the green color, showing absolutely no sadness or anger in his eyes. Jeddy's emotions look normal, not angry, not sad, not happy.

SIR! SIR! SIR! SIR! SIR!

Suddenly, as Paul was about to ask Jeddy again, there was the sound of windows opening in succession in every store that closed around them. Paul and Jeddy are shocked to see in every window of the store that suddenly opens, showing humans leaning on the edge of the window holding their own firearms. And the gun was directed at Paul. Yeah, just Paul. They all seemed to be preparing to release their bullets into Paul's body, which was standing on the sidewalk.

"H-Hey!? What the fuck, asshole!"

Paul could not calm down to see the men and women who appeared in each shop window, simultaneously pointing their firearms at him. Paul could have died silly in this town if he was hit by gunfire. But why are they only targeting Paul, but there is also Jeddy. Paul begins to suspect; it may be because Jeddy is their family, so even if that person doesn't get into the Mad Goat, they still think of him as family and protect him.

Watching that, Jeddy only sighed while shaking his head. "Oi-oi-oi-oi, why did you guys suddenly appear like this around me, I got goosebumps," Jeddy smiled faintly. "But it doesn't matter, because with this, I can easily finish you all off. Hehe!"

Casually, Jeddy pulled out his tiny pistol from his pants pocket. Then he pointed the gun at the human who was at the nearest store, then Jeddy spoke with a big smile. "Thank you for being my father's loyal follower, Uncle."

DOR'S!

One person was instantly killed, shot by Jeddy, but strangely, as the man was about to be shot by the green young man. He looks like he pretended not to see Jeddy. His eyes kept on Paul, as if he was preparing to fire a bullet at Paul and let his life be killed by Jeddy. It's really weird, Paul to the point of confusion.

"Woi! Why did that person seem to not see your existence!? And why do the others look so ordinary when they find out that their friend has been shot dead by you!? It's weird! Goddamn bum!"

DOR'S!

Hearing Paul screaming, one of them immediately shot the bullet. Paul quickly tilted his head, and managed to dodge the bullet. "Damn it!" Paul was shocked by the firing. "What can I do, I accept your challenge! If you dare! TRY SHOOTING ME AT THE SAME TIME! THE LOSERS!"

Jeddy glanced at Paul as the boy foolishly challenged his relatives to shoot simultaneously. Actually what Paul was thinking to that extent was too careless, Jeddy said.

DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S!

And finally, dozens of live bullets hit Paul, but with a casual Jeddy tag along fired his bullets into the bullets of his relatives who shot towards the angry man. As a result, Jeddy's bullets hit the bullets of his relatives until finally, his family's bullets bounced in all directions, not hitting Paul in the slightest.

"W-Wow!" Paul was amazed to see that, he did not expect Jeddy to do such a great thing. Thanks to that, Paul survived, not dying silly here. In fact, Paul challenged them to try his hand at dodging super-fast bullets, not remembering that his life was at stake. Really brave, though a little sloppy.

Paul answered quickly, "You doubt me!? Goddamn bum!" Sweat drenched his white tee shirt, making Paul look soaked.

"Good," Jeddy smiled obliquely. "For information only, you can kill anyone here. Don't worry, even if they're my family, I don't care. So, kill them as you please, bro."

Paul nodded his head, though there was still a hint of doubt in his heart. Because this was the first time Paul held a gun, and this was also the first time he was required to kill a human. If Paul doesn't do it, he's the one who's gonna get killed.

"Foot!" jeddy yells at Paul.

DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S! DOR'S!

Blindly, Jeddy and Paul opened fire on the men who held their guns in the windows of each shop, both of whom continued to shoot and shoot. One person is dead. Three people. Six people. Ten people. Untold how many people have been killed shot by the two of them. And apparently, before he died, the men didn't fire the bullet at all to the two of them. Those people seemed to have a reason why they would rather die shot than fight back.

Paul began to think; was it because there was a Jeddy figure nearby? Make those people can't just shoot bullets at him? Paul was astonished to see the collapsed corpses, blood splattered on every shop window. The weapons that the men were holding began to fall down and lay on the sidewalk of the road. Until finally, there was nothing left of those people, they had all been killed simultaneously.

"Yeah? My bullet's up, what about you, bro?"

"I-I am too. It's over!" paul replied with eyes still focused on the dead. Then, by reflex, Paul dropped the gun he was holding, and he looked at his two trembling palms. Paul looked worried.

"I-This is the first time I've killed a human! D-asshole! W-Why am I so nervous! Damnit damnit! But I didn't expect it, it turns out killing humans feels this bad. It's horrible!"

Paul's gaze was turned towards Jeddy who was standing beside him, the young man was giggling, laughing at his behavior. "Haha! Again that expression! Huhah! I can't help it! Haha! How funny! Ahaha!" Jeddy holds his stomach when he's cracking up, because his stomach will hurt if he keeps laughing. Then, Jeddy stopped his laughter, and began to speak in a serious tone. "You wonder why I don't care about my family's life?"

Out of curiosity, Paul answered him harshly. "Explain me! Hurry along! Bastard!"

Jeddy developed his lips slightly, smiling faintly. "That's because I think of them as just stupid followers of my father. And you must also be curious about those who did not retaliate to my attacks and allowed themselves to be killed by me, right, Bro? So, from what I heard, the Mad Goat has rules made by my father, one of which is, it is forbidden to kill me. Less is more, Bro."

Astonished, Paul furrowed his brows. "So that's it, yeah." Paul took a deep breath. "That means they're still spying"

Bruuuum!

Paul's words were cut off when the sound of a car engine was loud enough. And it looked like a black limousine - which had a very long cabin and seemed luxurious - was moving down the main street of Groen City and it stopped at a shopping area full of corpses and the smell of blood. More precisely, stop in front of Jeddy and Paul, who are now standing in the middle of the road.

The middle door, shifted like an elevator door, then, a white foot wearing red high heels, descended into the asphalt gracefully. And there was a curly green haired woman, in her thirties, wearing a long red dress, who came out of the limousine, alone, unaccompanied by the driver or anyone.

The woman in the red dress smiled sweetly at the two of them.

"How happy are they all," said the woman, looking at the corpses lying in each shop. "because they died so easily, free from all worldly pressures and responsibilities. Honestly, I also wanted a similar ending as them, but what was my day, which still had the responsibility to fix this broken society, with my husband. And with you too, Jeddy, my dear son."

The woman pointed at Jeddy with her index finger gently.

"Hm? Your son? No-no-no, I'm not your son. Because I don't want to have a mother whose job threatens people, shuts people down, expels people, and kills innocents. My mother is not a rotten woman like you. You're not my mother."

This time, Jeddy is seen putting on a very serious face when responding to the words of the woman in the red dress, making Paul begin to suspect that the woman is his biological mother.

The woman glanced at Paul. "I'm sure your friends were driven out of town last night, but why is this one still here?"
