MINERVO 63: Horsepower

BRUK!

The sensation of falling crashing onto the ground hard, was really painful. Nico and Abbas have just emerged in the middle of a deserted asphalt road in a residential area, apparently slower than Paul and Colin. Maybe because they did it by holding hands, because Abbas did not know the condition of Paul's house, making Nico inevitably have to rejoice to help the burly man to come to Swart City, he said, to Paul's house. But just as the power of the agios candy they swallowed began to work, they were instead startled with a painful collision. Nico and Abbas are really unlucky. When Paul and Colin appeared on the soft grass, they appeared on the hard surface of the asphalt.

"We made it, huh?" Nico raised his body that was in a position to topple over on the asphalt. "I thought we'd show up at the north pole, or at least, in a crocodile's nest, but apparently it wasn't. I'm quite disappointed." Nico picked up his glasses that were imprinted on the asphalt and then wore them in an elegant style. Then Nico looked at Abbas, who was lying on the asphalt. "What are you doing? Do yoga during the day? And on asphalt? It's stupid" Nico shook his head at Abbas's condition. "Wake up. We need to hurry to Paul's house."

Nico calmly stepped out of his feet, either without caring about Abbas following him or not. In Nico's mind, at least he had warned Abbas that if the black burly man didn't hear it, it wasn't his fault, it was Abbas's fault. Nico seemed relaxed about leaving Abbas. After all, he had that excuse to trick Paul and the others.

Hearing the sound of Nico's footprints getting away, Abbas raised his body slowly, from sitting down, crouching, until finally standing perfectly. Abbas was quite surprised, because this place is very bright, unlike Cocoa which is always cloudy and raining. Here, it's hot and quiet. But Abbas heard noise in a distant place. When Abbas looked at the source of the sound, he clearly saw the silhouettes of tall buildings from a distance, it seemed like the noise was coming from there. From the city center.

"Eh?" Nico was shocked when Abbas suddenly walked beside him. "Your inner work is like a horse, huh? Though I was sure, I had left you hundreds of meters away, but you managed to catch up with me in just one minute. You're too scary, Abbas."

Abbas only smiled faintly in response to what Nico had said to him. Nico also understood him, because quiet people like Abbas, are not good at pleasantries. They will only show facial expressions in response rather than filling them with words. Silent people like Abbas are too lazy to speak. Why are they not called lazy? Nico smiled as he thought of that. Then, his smile disappeared instantly, he turned his attention to Abbas.

"We were in Swart City, in a quiet house, and among these houses was Paul's house. Take it easy, I memorized the shape of the house."

Abbas understood. Thanks to that explanation, Abbas finally realized that the place he was stepping on was no longer Roswel Castle or Cocoa City, but the territory of Swart City. So look, yeah, Swart City, it's beautiful. Abbas was happy to be brought here, because this was the first time he came here and it turned out that the atmosphere was very bright and soothing, even so, it does not mean he hated his own hometown. The city of Cocoa remains number one in Abbas's heart, because there are so many sweet, bitter, sour, and salty memories there. Abbas can't just forget it.

Because Abbas did not respond to his remarks, Nico was forced to think about the topic of conversation so that the situation did not feel quiet and awkward. Nico keeps turning his brain to get something interesting to discuss, anything is okay, the important thing can be used as a talking point. A few seconds he racked his brain, finally Nico found a question that was quite important and interesting to discuss. Nico quickly asked Abbas.

"During Cocoa City, you haven't told me about your family's condition at all" Nico said in a calm tone. "So where was your family, when you were exiled by the townspeople? Why don't they come when you live alone in a simple hut? Don't they care about you?" For a moment, Nico recalled his past, but he hastily forgot about it.

Abbas smiled wryly at the question, Nico was a little uneasy at it, was the question too painful to discuss, until Abbas displayed such an expression? Nico feels guilty, maybe he should change his words to sound more friendly. But, as Nico was about to make a sound, Abbas first spoke in his heavy baritone voice.

"They" said Abbas with a sad face. "... has gone."

That's when Nico's eyes widened so shocked. "A-Ah..," Nico was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry, I don't know." Nico scratched the back of his neck restlessly. So, yes, the reason the Abbas family did not accompany him while living alone in a quiet place, inside the rickety hut that almost collapsed - even though the condition of the hut is currently already destroyed by attacks by people in white robes. Nico really felt guilty for asking.

Suddenly Abbas stroked Nico's white hair gently, leaving the owner shocked. "It's okay" Abbas said with a warm smile, trying to calm Nico of guilt. Actually, Nico felt his head rubbed, but this time, he let Abbas do it.

The mood was silent again.

Nico had to look for the topic again so that the atmosphere was not awkward, while Abbas was relaxed looking ahead, not worrying whether the situation was quiet or not. The power of a quiet person is truly terrifying, Nico thought.

"Isn't that," Nico slightly forgot his name, as hard as he tried to remember it, and finally met. "... Koko."

Abbas turned to Nico as the man mentioned a foreign name. "Who's Koko?" abbas asked Nico, wondering who had the unique name.

"You want to know?" said Nico by displaying his arrogant look while pressing the glasses that slightly dropped on his nose. "Then look ahead, there's Koko."

According to Nico's words, Abbas looked ahead, and he saw no one but a beautiful, long-haired girl who seemed to be walking towards them. "Name Koko? But I don't see it, in front of us there's only one woman."

Nico patted his cheek. "It's stupid, '" said Nico. "The form you think of as that woman is Koko, you idiot!"

Koko who was walking while her eyes contemplated, staring at the ground, suddenly shocked to hear his name as if called by someone. As Koko straightened her head, she could see there were two figures of men walking far in front of her.

"Don't you.." Koko squinted her eyes, to look more observant at the two figures. "....that's Nico and Abbas?" Koko knew Abbas's name because she remembered what Paul had said when he met him in the back of the house. "They're home, yeah." Koko is quite happy to see the return of Nico and a man named Abbas.

But Koko was confused what to say, because her heart was in pain, even to smile, it was painful. That's why, when Nico and Abbas began to approach, Koko hurried back and ran away as fast as they could from them.

"Well.. Huh..." Feeling very far away, Koko rested her exhausted body under a tree, right in front of the gate of someone else's house. His breathing was wheezing, sweat soaking his clothes. "I think I'm safe."

"Where what?"

Suddenly, Koko heard the voice of someone beside her, as she turned her head, a burly man was standing holding a teary-eyed man on his back. And they are Abbas and Nico.

"Eh?" Koko looked up at him. "Imust not be able to catch up with me this fast."

Nico smiled slanted in Abbas's arms, after hearing Koko's words. "You don't know, do you?" nico said, patting Abbas on the shoulder. "This guy runs really fast and he also has a lot of energy. To chase you, it's not hard for Abbas."

Abbas only smiled faintly as Nico introduced himself to Koko. "I am Abbas" Abbas said in a heavy voice. "It's nice to meet you, Koko."

Koko doesn't know what to say other than, "M-Impossible!"
