MINERVO 36: The Human Being

It took about five hours to travel from Aljelvin to Swart, because the distance between the two cities was indeed far apart, so it felt quite tiring, plus Paul, and his friends this time did not take the bus, so it felt quite tiring, but riding a large motorbike from the women tomboys, making them so unable to relax like in the bus seat, because the motorcycle seat does not have a runway for the back. That's why in the five-hour drive, Paul and his friends, could only sit upright on the motorcycle seat, and look at the scenery around them, while enduring drowsiness and fatigue.

Understanding Paul's words, they nodded their heads, and finally they turned on the motor and said goodbye. Paul, Cherry, Nico, and Koko looked at the tomboy women's departure with astonished eyes, the four of them still did not expect to have been helped by the women after being driven from a bus. It turns out that the miracle does exist, even the arrival is very unexpected.

"You want to keep looking at them!? Huh!?" paul snapped at Cherry, Nico, and Koko who were still standing looking at the departure of the tomboyish women. "Hurry inside! Goddamn bum!"

Hearing that, Cherry, Nico, and Koko follow Paul from behind to enter the gate. After his cough was over, Jeddy blinked his eyes to see who the person who hit him in the stomach was, and a second later, he smiled broadly.

"Whoah! Paul's! You finally came home too! Bro!" Jeddy lifted himself up from the couch to stand up, then he patted Paul's back with a bang. Then, Jeddy's gaze was shifted to the people standing by the door, and his eyes instantly widened upon noticing a foreign figure behind Nico, he did not care about Cherry jumping in front of him. "Bro! Who is that purple haired girl!?" jeddy asked Paul in a whispering tone.

Feeling stared at by the green-haired man, Koko further submerged her body in Nico's back, until her body was bent so that the foreign man could not look at her. "You why?" nico asked after she realized that Koko was hiding behind her body. "You're afraid of that green shit?" Unfortunately, Koko did not answer Nico's question because she did not want to show her voice in this situation.

"He's the new hero I found in Aljelvin City!" paul replied to Jeddy in a voice that cried. "Even if he looks like that, he's a man! Name's Koko!"

As Jeddy's shock grew when he heard the explanation, he turned to Paul and said, "You're serious, Bro!?" Then his attention was re-routed to Koko who was hiding on Nico's back. "ahaha! I'm sure you must be lying to me, right? Bro!? Comeon! Couldn't a girl as beautiful as that be a man? Bro! Ahahaha! You are just there! Bro!"

"I'm being serious! Goddamn bum!" Paul lands his story on Jeddy's head out of annoyance at the man's behavior. "If you don't believe it, just ask him directly! You idiot!"

Jeddy's cheeks immediately flushed to hear Paul say so, he became misbehaved. "M-Impossible! Bro! Ahahaha! I'm weak when I get close to a pretty girl, Bro!"

"Huh? What do you mean say that?" Suddenly Cherry immediately growled in front of Jeddy with a piercing look. "So Cherry wasn't pretty enough to make you feel weak, was she?"

"No need" said Cherry in a still growling voice. "I'd rather have you here, to explain what you mean by what you say that Cherry's face is ugly! Ugly look! Not interesting! And disgusting! I see, right, you mean!?"

"SILENCE!" Fed up of hearing the quarrel, Paul immediately exclaimed loudly, leaving Cherry speechless, Jeddy shocked, Nico smiling obliquely, and Koko poking her head to look at the situation. "Stop hiding behind Nico! Comehereyou! Goddamn bum!" he yells at Koko, who is still hiding her body.

"This stupid-faced man is Jeddy! He's gonna be a hero! Just like you!" obviously Paul was on Koko with a thunderous voice. "I hope you can get along! Because you are all my students! I am a mentor! Have a great responsibility to guide you into becoming a true hero! You understand!? Answer!"

"Yes! I-I understand! Bro!" jeddy replied nervously, his eyes unceasingly glancing at Koko's beautiful face.

"Well, I get it, Paul." said Koko by lowering her head again, embarrassed by being constantly glimpsed by Jeddy.

"Good!" Paul seemed happy to hear it. Later, Paul's attention is diverted to Jeddy. "By the way how's your family doing!? Said you went back to Groen to see your family in jail, right!? Are they okay!?"

Jeddy's clumsy face disappeared upon hearing the question, he turned his gaze to Paul and replied, "Thank you for asking that, Bro," Jeddy smiled his big smile. "My family was fine there, even though my mother looked thin and my father was still a goat. Hehehehe!" Hearing Jeddy's words, Cherry, Nico, and Koko flinch. "But you don't have to worry, Bro! Paul smiled faintly hearing it. Then, Paul turned his gaze to Cherry, "How is it? After hearing this, are you still mad at Jeddy? Huh!?"

Now, Cherry's anger had vanished, her face displaying a look of shock. "C-Cherry doesn't know about it, Cherry thinks Jeddy's family is fine!" With teary eyes, Cherry immediately ran hugging Jeddy's legs. "Cherry is sorry for scolding you! Cherry's sorry!"

Jeddy rubbed Cherry's pink hair gently. "Not to think about. It's my fault too! So, you don't have to apologize to me, Cherry! Hehe!" Cherry took off her arms at Jeddy's feet and smiled warmly.

"Now Cherry understands why Roswel said, Jeddy likes to cry in the bathroom and in his sleep. Jeddy must miss family, right? Now, Jeddy don't cry anymore! Okay! Because Cherry is with Paul, Nico, Koko, and Colin! Will be Jeddy's new family! Hihihihi!"

Suddenly, hearing that, Jeddy was surprised, his tears almost dripped before his hands inching rapidly, wiping away his tears. "Aahaha! Thank you very much! Cherry! Hehehehe!" Jeddy returned with a big smile.

"It's surprising" Nico said in a cold tone to Jeddy. "Actually I still have some other questions about your family, but it seems I'm too tired to ask," Nico's gaze soon turned to Paul. "Get us some food, we're so hungry, you idiot."

Finally Paul called his mother to prepare food for his friends, when the mother came to the living room, the woman was surprised to see a new girl in her house. But after Paul explained that the girl was a man, the mother smiled faintly and nodded in understanding. The woman went into her kitchen to make something. While waiting, Paul with his friends sat in the guest chair, they talked about everything along with jokes and laughter, making the atmosphere feel relaxed. Not only do they talk about trivial things, because in it, Paul also explained to Koko about what is a hero, mentor, Roswel, and who is Colin, he said, he also reveals the past of each person there until finally Koko began to understand all that.

It also makes Nico, Cherry, Jeddy, and Koko talk to each other about their pasts, while Paul is reluctant to explain his past to them, even though Cherry keeps asking him to talk, he prefers to be an observer when his friends expose each other's past, because he does not want to recall the bad memories that have occurred in his life.

"Food is ready!"

Paul's mother suddenly came from the kitchen with a tray containing a large bowl of boiled crab, a plate of snowcakes, a box of strawberry-flavored donuts, and a plate of wine-flavored cakes.

"Wow? Boiled crab? It was my favorite meal in Groen!" Jeddy was amazed to see Groen's special food appear before him, for a long time he did not eat boiled crabs.

"Why is there a snowcake here?" Nico. "I'm reminded of Vineas."

"Let's! Strawberry flavored doughnuts are a favorite meal of the Poppe people! We often call it pinky! Hihihi!" Cherry was excited when she saw the strawberry donut on the tray that her mother Paul was carrying.

"The wine-flavored cake is a food that is often made on every day of the big celebration in Aljelvin" Koko said with a sad look and a soft voice. "I'm glad to see it here."

That was the reaction of Jeddy, Nico, Cherry, and Koko as the woman placed her homemade food on the guest table. "What's wrong? You guys seem surprised? Hehehe." said the woman after hearing the reaction of her friends Paul who seemed shocked.

"Why can aunty know the typical food of our city?" nico asked with a furrow of his brows, curious.

"Of course I know," said the woman chuckling. "After that, you better eat fast, before the food gets cold."

"Thank you Auntie!" said Jeddy and Cherry at the same time, they were very enthusiastic when they said it. The woman just smiled kindly.

"Why don't you make a special meal out of Swart City!? I should have made it for me too!"

"Ah, I forgot," said the woman as she slid her tongue at Paul, as if she had deliberately not made a typical meal of Swart City. "It's Paul, quickly join your friends for a meal, you just got home too, right? If you've eaten, invite your boyfriend to come into your room, then take Cherry to Olivia's house, okay?"

With his face still upset, Paul answered his mother's words with pouting lips, "Well, Mom!"

Finally Paul, Cherry, Nico, Jeddy, and Koko eat the food available at the guest table, they look very happy when eating, making Paul's mother happy to see it, Paul, he finally went back to the kitchen to clean up something.

Meanwhile, in the silence of the night, precisely in front of the gate of Paul's house, stood a human figure whose eyes were glaring sharply toward the front door of Paul's house that was still open, his ears heard laughter from some people who were eating together there, looking so boisterous and pleasant.

"So so, yes," he said in an annoyed voice. "They're partying without me."
