Colin was so excited when he heard a question from Paul about who would want to go along looking for the next hero, he immediately raised his hand while revealing that he wanted to come. He said it happened to be Sunday, so Colin got a day off from his boss, and he wanted to spend his day on adventures with Paul. Perhaps because Colin had rarely traveled with Paul, the last time he went to visit Nico in the City of Vineas, after that, he began not to travel anymore because he clashed with his job at the store.
Paul was happy to hear Colin's response stating that he had an adventure with him, although Colin was actually not very useful when compared to his other students, but at least Colin's desire to participate was enough to make him happy.
"Good!" paul said with his eyes on Colin. Then Paul's attention was again directed to his other students. "Who else? Hurry up and hold your hands up high, you son of a bitch!"
Suddenly, Nico raised his hand and said, "I can't let you travel with Colin, because you're a rude person, I'm afraid Colin is being yelled at by you, so, I'll come along." Paul was a little offended to hear Nico's words, but he immediately ignored them.
"okay! Who else!?" The room became quiet, no one else would raise his hand, making Paul a little annoyed to see it. "WHO ELSE!?"
Koko immediately voiced out in a loud voice. "Sorry Paul, this time I will not come, because my body is not fit, so I want to rest here. It's okay, right?"
"I can't go either" Naomi said with a gentle smile to Paul. "Because I've promised your Mom to help her cook, so when you come back home, there will be a meal from my collaboration with your Mom. So forgive me. But even so, I will pray to God that you may be protected from all threats and dangers, and be able to return to Swart City safely."
"Sorry, Bro! I can't come either, hehehe!" Jeddy showed his voice with a carefree face. "So lately I've been getting a lot of stomachaches, bro! That's why I'm worried that if my stomach ache comes while we're on the bus or fighting an enemy, it's going to be troublesome, right, Bro!? Ahaha! But don't worry, Bro! If you're in trouble! You can call me! I will definitely dart to where you are! To help! Bro! Hehe!"
Hearing the excuses Koko, Naomi, and Jeddy had said about them not being able to come along, upset Paul, but he immediately suppressed his frustration by saying, "Whatever you say! I don't care!" sergeant Paul with a bitter grieve. "That means, today the ones who will come with me are Colin and Nico!" Paul's eyeballs were shifted towards Colin and Nico. "You guys ready!?"
Nico and Colin nodded their heads saying 'ready' in unison. Paul grinned happily at her, "Good! Now! Let's go!" Hearing Paul say that, made Colin immediately make a sound.
"Wait, which city are we going to, Paul?" Colin was curious about the location of his destination, in his heart, he prayed that the city he would visit was a normal city, not a strange city like before. Honestly speaking, Colin was still traumatized when considering his visit to Poppe City, he was not strong if he had to deal with the problems that caused the splashing of blood and the human body that was cut into pieces, it was extremely terrifying and would definitely be a prolonged nightmare in his life. Therefore, Colin was very grateful when visiting the City of Vineas, because even though the city was snowy and cold atmosphere, but the city was quite normal, maybe the only obstacle to Niconya that seemed annoying.
Just as Paul turned to Colin and was about to answer the question, the phone in his pants pocket was shaking, a sign that someone had contacted him. Paul quickly reached into his pants pocket and picked up the phone by bringing the phone to his ear. "Hello!? Who's in there!? Roswel, right!?" paul said as a sign of greeting to the caller in a very rude voice.
"I'm Olivia, not Roswel or whoever it is!" Paul was shocked when he heard the voice of a girl he knew so well across the phone. Really, he thinks the one who called is Roswel, but why is it that this damn girl called him. Did Olivia suddenly call her? After all Paul had no time to mince words with others, given his busyness in finding heroes.
"Why do you need to call me, Olivia? Just so you know! I don't have time to serve you! So tell me quickly what you need! Because I'm going to rush to another city! So hurry!"
Across the phone, Olivia scowled angrily, not believing Paul would be this bad in response to his phone, but he just wanted to tell Cherry the news that was getting better and better, but her feelings get worse after hearing Paul's rudeness to her. Exasperated, Olivia replied, "Oh, is that it? Yes already! I'll hang up! Sorry for interrupting your important activities! Dear Lord Paul!" After saying that, Olivia hung up the phone unilaterally, leaving Paul in shock.
"Damn it! Why is he so angry with me!? But fuck! I don't care!" Paul looked one by one at the faces of his students who were looking at him. "What's!? You guys don't like my attitude, huh!?"
"Who called you, Paul?" asked Nico by raising his eyebrows. "But I seem to hear the voice of a familiar girl, who is she?"
"Isn't that Olivia's voice, Bro?" Jeddy chimed in on Nico's talk quickly, leaving all eyes on him. "I can hear it! Bro! That's Olivia's voice, isn't it? What did he say to you, bro!? But why did you call her so soon!?" Jeddy's gaze is diverted on Paul, trying to ascertain whether his guess is correct or not, as well as asking why the duration of his phone was so short.
Paul breathed out. "It's none of your business! After all whatever Olivia was going to tell me, it was definitely just something unimportant! And I don't have time to hear anything unimportant!" As usual, Paul responds to his students' questions with harsh intonation.
"What if he's gonna tell you about Cherry's condition? Isn't that important enough?" Now, Colin was making a sound by shrugging his shoulders, as if what he said was a reality. "Come Paul! Change that attitude! I'm surprised, from the first time we met until you got a lot of heroes, your attitude is still so-so, rude and brutal. I thought as the number of heroes you got, your attitude would get better, but my God, it's actually getting worse?" Colin shook his head. "Paul, let me tell you, all the heroes you've guided, there's ten, and we have different mentalities, so come on! Try to approach us with a different approach, I mean, you as a mentor should be flexible."
Paul grieves to hear the words of Colin who impressed to hunt him. "Dare to be, too, you," Paul said with his eyes glaring at Colin. "Touching to me as if you were a better human being than me? I'm gonna kick it, huh!?"
Nico immediately shrieked quickly, "I don't think Colin has any intention of lecturing you, he just reminds you to be kind to everyone, especially the ten disciples you will be mentoring, later on. So, I don't think there's anything wrong with Colin's talk."
Hearing that, Paul immediately shifted his focus to Nico. "Do you want to get beat up again by me, huh!?" paul snapped with an intimidating look. "So the events in the Vineas City Library are still not enough to scare you away from me, huh!?"
"Let me tell you," answered Nico with a tilt of his mouth. "For so long, I have never harbored any fear of trash like you in the slightest, remember that. In my eyes, you and I, are different. I'm human and you're nothing but trash. So don't ever think I'll be afraid of you just because you're always talking loud and rude. That goes for your other students too."
Suddenly Paul's anger exploded at Nico's words, he immediately walked up to the white-haired man, who was still sitting near Colin. Paul really hates dissidents like Nico. However, just as Paul is about to lash his punch in Nico's face, Jeddy hastily moves out of his chair and flushes Paul's actions by gripping the right arm of his mentor.
"Don't, Bro" Jeddy whispered in Paul's ear. "If you do that, you can divide us. And I don't want that to happen, Bro."
"Let go! Goddamn bum!" Paul rebelled from Jeddy's wrists squeezing him. "I have to beat this bastard's mouth! He has dared to be rude to me!"
"Be insolent?" Nico smiled faintly hearing that. "Didn't you always be rude to us all this time? You used to yell at us, ignore us, and insult us. So we should have told you that, but trash like you, would never be able to understand that. Because in your mind, you're our boss, aren't you?"
"Not just Koko," Naomi raised her voice loudly. "I also don't like to see your quarrels, I think, you shouldn't fight so just because of trivial matters. I think what you're concerned about is just something like Paul's 'rough attitude to change', right? But all right, let me tell you now. Actually, we as Paul's students have the right to demand our wishes on the mentor, but what is the wish? If his wish concerned one's personality, wouldn't it make no sense? I mean, you-you all can't force Paul to be like the meek Koko, or like the silly, humorous Jeddy. We all have different personalities, and I don't have a problem with Paul's rough, tough personality. We have our own uniqueness, and we must not force a lion to turn out like a goose, honestly, that makes no sense at all."
The atmosphere in the living room was so silent for a moment, everyone was watching Naomi with such astonished eyes, they all did not expect that the hooded girl had such extraordinary dignity. Naomi could position herself as a mediator on a matter, and that left Paul and the others in awe. Moreover, Naomi's grammar seems polite and orderly, she also does not corner anyone. It was as if the problems that arose were the fault of all the parties present here, including himself.
Slowly Paul's anger began to recede, he looked calm, making Jeddy no longer urge his body. Nico and Colin are guilty of forcing someone to change their personality, and that makes no sense, nor does Paul, he also felt that his actions as a mentor made him behave arbitrarily towards his students, whereas the mentor figure was to guide the students, instead of threatening the students to fear and submit to him. Eventually, both sides realized their own mistakes.
Just as Colin was about to apologize to Paul, suddenly the sound of mobile phone vibration again from Paul's pants. "Hello!?" Paul hopes that the one who called him this time is Roswel, because he needs information about the whereabouts of the next hero.
But it turns out, "Pauuuuuul!" The one who called her was not Roswel, but Cherry, and it seems that the little girl called her mentor using Olivia's cell phone. After her phone was picked up, Cherry immediately called out the name of her mentor so long and spoiled, like a boy whining to his parents. "You have to take responsibility! Paul!" Cherry screeching across the phone. "Olivia suddenly cries on Cherry's shoulder! And he said he was based on Paul! Is that really so? If it were true, Cherry would be furious at Paul! Know no? Olivia called you because she wanted to tell you about Cherry's health, you know! But Paul immediately snapped at Olivia! So, right, Olivia didn't get to tell you that! The point is Paul jahaaaat! Point!"
"Tell Olivia" said Paul in a low voice. "I'm sorry." Hearing Paul say an apology, Naomi makes a thin smile, Jeddy pats her hands, Colin is shocked, Nico is glued, and Koko calms down.
"EEEEEEEEEE!?" Cherry screamed hysterically across the phone, seemingly dumbfounded to hear Paul say an apology, really, Cherry didn't expect it to be that easy to make someone like Paul apologize to Olivia. Cherry thinks Paul will defend himself to impress, not the wrong one. But the truth was the opposite, without further ado, Paul dared to apologize to Olivia that quickly. "Yeahaaah! Didn't Cherry hear wrong, huh? Cherry Butterfly still works, right? But what, it feels like something's wrong, huh? It was just a Cherry hallucination! Ow hell! Sorry, deh! That means Cherry heard wrong! So, Paul, try saying it again! Cherry heard it wrong!"
"Tell Olivia, I'm sorry! You're such a bitch! Goddamnit!" reiterate Paul by adding swear words to Cherry so upset. "Easy! I am thankful that you are healthy! I hope you're back at my house, because I've got a hero of the same type as you, a girl! When you have a fever. And now, I'm going to go again to find the next hero! If you're wondering who I got, you can ask Olivia to drive you to my house! Because that woman just happened to not come with me!"
Cherry's face became increasingly wide-eyed to hear it, "UWAAAAA!" Again, Cherry was shrill. "Seriously!? This isn't a lie, is it? There's a girl besides Cherry who's a hero!? Awahhh! Hihah! Cherry wants to meet him! Anyways! What's name!? Is she beautiful!? Which city is he from!? Tell Cherry all about the woman, Cherry mohooon!"
"No! I'm busy!" Paul turned off his phone. Then his gaze was shifted to the faces of his students who seemed to show different expressions of surprise. "Then again, what do you want! Huh!?"
"Haha!" Jeddy watched Paul get angry. "We're just shocked at you, bro! Because you can apologize to others! Ahaha! That surprised us, Bro!" Paul knitted his eyebrows at Jeddy's words.
"Forget about it! I don't want to hear it anymore!" Then Paul's gaze was pointed at Nico and Colin. "Hows it? After fighting with me, do you still want to come with me? Answer me!"
With a paled face, Colin replied, "J-Don't worry, I still want to come along. As long as you don't hit me. Hehehe." Even Colin's laughter sounded so bland.
Nico smiled obliquely at her, "As long as Colin is coming, I will be coming too. Besides, my job is not only to keep you company, but also to watch your movements from Colin. Because I'd be so mad if you yelled at or touched Colin. That'sthat's all. Simple, right?"
Hearing him, Colin turned to Nico, "Hey, Nico" Colin said with a sharp look at Nico's face beside him. "You don't have to trouble yourself to protect me. I'm older than you. I should have protected you. So, you don't need-"
"I'm sorry" Nico said, glancing at Colin. "But my policy is absolute, I will not retract my words. And I don't care about age or anything like that. For me, I have to protect you. That's all."
"You're mocking me, aren't you?" timpal Colin tilted his head, astonished. "I don't need to get any protection from you. You should know that."
"You need to, Colin."
"No need, Nico."
"WHISPER! GODDAMN SHIT!" Eventually a minor altercation between Nico and Colin is marred by Paul's thunderous screams. "Rather than sitting here! Better you two! Stand up from the chair! Because now! It's time we go to-" Suddenly Paul's phone shakes again in his hand, because he didn't have time to put his phone back in his pants pocket. As a result Paul was forced to pick up the phone while not expecting anything, because he believed this time was the same, not Roswel who contacted him. "Who else is this!?" Paul started saying his first greeting, "HELLO!? WHO'S IN THERE!?"
"It's me, sir," It turns out that now the one who called him was Roswel. Paul was really happy to hear it, but as usual, he did not show his excitement.
"YOU'VE BEEN A LONG TIME! GODDAMN SHIT!" Stir so hard on Paul. "I was waiting for you damn! Yes already! Now tell me where the next hero is! Don't talk too much!"
"Well, sir," Roswel immediately prepared the information he would pass on to Paul. "So, the target you will meet is in the southern part of Madelta State, Sir. More precisely, it was in Cocoa City. And your target is a man about nineteen years old. She has gray hair, dark eyes, black skin, athletic body, and is also always topless. It seems that he rarely wears clothes, sir. He only seems to be wearing shorts. And apparently, the man is often called 'Abbas' by the people of Cocoa. Is the information enough, sir?"
"YES! THANK YOU!
Later, Paul along with Nico and Colin begin to get ready to go to Cocoa City. After the three men are gone from the living room, Naomi makes a sound, making Jeddy and Koko turn to her.
"I hope they're okay in Cocoa."
